A day without vapemail is like a day without sun
Ridiculous isn't it! ...but true! :)

Going back to Subtanks Trish,if you try any 100% Vg, let us know how you get on.I tried with GJ and was getting a lot of dry hits(that was with the factory 0.5 coils, maybe OK with the 1.2's,that's why i'm asking) :thumb:
OK, will do - I'm using the LCCC which is 100%V G base plus whatever percentage the flavouring is, and it works fine - we'll see how long the coils last - does well with the V2 Kanger coils in the MOW.

I'll be putting Doughnut in the Mini, and that is also the VG base, works well in the MOW and the coil usually lasts 5-6 days.
I won't be trying a chocolate one in the Subtank though - only thing that'll last more than 2 days is a basic single coil Kanger Evod type coil!

It probably depends on how much they thin the VG base with distilled water for instance ..Chefs seem to get it just right for me, and so do most other companies.

Trisha...I tried the coffee fresh this morning and unfortunately it`s nowt to shout about  It`s Okay, but just that. It tastes a bit too artificial to me ! May be a bit better with some sweet cream added, so will try that tomorrow and report back :)
OK - sorry to hear that. Coffee seems to be really difficult to get right. Have you ever tried the Lews Brew with some cream? - a while since I used LB, but I seem to remember it wasn't bad at all.

I tried some Wakonda for 10-15 minutes a few days ago without diluting the PG down because I'd never tasted it on it's own before ...it was lovely! It's a NET coffee creamy one. It did make me have breathing trouble though as expected, so now what's left in the tank is diluted with crème brule again - still tastes good though.

I honestly don`t mind it tasting a bit rubbish Trish ! That`s the beauty of DIY, a quid or 2 loss won`t break the bank, and i`m not stuck with 30 ml or so of it. I`ve got some homemade LB steeping, and i will try that one next and add some cream to it if needed.

I have heard good things about the wakonda, so maybe i will try some of that in the future. :)

Mmmm free chocolate. Seems most places stick a freebie in now :)

Ah don' think yer ugly pet  ....sorry Ian, I couldn't resist that ..if you watch Vera, you can almost hear her say that!

I've been called a lot worse  The Wife likes watching Vera, so I can picture her saying that

True, don't feel too bothered now I have these things in hand. Bottles arrived today.
I still think it's a travesty that these things are happening, but being a step ahead, even if ultimately things don't get too bad, at least makes it feel better.

I'm quite amused by it! Last thing I expected to be getting. I ordered a Mini this morning, and if I like that too, I may get another for the 'stores' ;)

I reckon you'll be fine now then. I'm keeping all my spare Kayfuns/Russians etc now rather than throwing any out, just in case. I could quite easily build a box mod, but tanks are a different story.

Just put a tank with a Kanthal build on it reading 0.88 ohms (had to press + & - buttons to read resistance) and it didn't automatically go into Power mode, so I took it down to 10J (cool vape) (thought 40J would be too high) and it fires it set at 450°F but shows 32°F when fired (same at 20J a bit too warm), so it looks like it works with Kanthal using Joules but the TC doesn't check the coil like with nickel, found that 15J gave me about the same vape as the 20W I had set on the mod I took the tank off of.

Interesting to know Bob. So in Joules mode with a kanthal build TC won't kick in to stop the wick burning. Good to know, you're not limited to nickel only builds.

Yes offers still there mate.

Cheers George. I was just being nosey really, I've still not finished the first bottle of the four I got

Yes and I hope it's good stuff  I'll be knocking on George's door if not :)

It's lovely mate. IMHO, I like it more than GVC or any of the others I've tried.

You'll find that Terry some DIY will be successful and others won't. I could never get coffee right myself, when I tried mixing it, always ended up tasting more like a tobacco type vape.

Well my new Dominion juices are all safely stashed away in the vape cupboard. They do smell lovely, not had a chance to do a drip taste yet though.

-------------------------

I see FT now have the Lemo 2 listed, but with a 7 day lead time

https://www.fasttech.com/product/2256500
It's gone straight into my wishlist :)

----------------------------

Plus my latest order with FT is now at the packaging step. Earlier on, two items were holding things up. The iStick covers, Subtank V2 and Venturi were all ready to ship. But the ceramic tweezers went into restocking and the Rogue was still showing a 7 day wait. So I got a bit tactical  I cancelled the Rogue dripper, to see if it would speed things up a little - 2 hours later, the tweezers are out of restocking and ready to ship. I wonder if they pinched the tweezers out of somebody else's order

Also, I've been revisiting an old mod the last couple of days. Decided to dust down the Vmod mini for use at work. Give it a good clean, fitted new seals, new bottle and atty. I'd forgotten how small this thing is.

Over this last week, I've had a Subtank and a brand new Kayfun leak a little in my shirt pocket. It seems with the bus routes I'm doing now, the only thing that won't leak at all, is the Vmod. Pretty certain I know why most of the other tanks are misbehaving. I'm driving a lot more of the newer buses now, which have extremely hard, uncomfortable driver's seats. Couple that with rock hard suspension and I don't think most tanks like being thrown around that much. The older buses, I was driving before, had much softer seats and suspension. I'd hate to think what havoc these newer buses are playing on my back and joints  So in this case, new isn't always better.

Yeah, like i said Ian it`s no big deal really, i would rather lose a couple of quid rather than buy 30 ml of rubbish what just goes down the sink  I refer to them bloody Coval ones i tried ! 60 ml Binned :(

Dave, what sort of builds are you using in your subbies ?

I've mainly used the coils that come with it. I'm just on my first build now. I saw your chat a few days ago so I've built it up to 2.2ohm using 28awg. First tank was a little dry so I've tampered with the wicks a little and seems better, using it about 14w.

Been trying the first Aerovape liquid i got from the sale, seems ages ago now.

Lemon biscuit....perfectly vapable and it does taste like a lemon biscuit, but perhaps a little too sweet for me.
Got it in a subby with a 1.2 coil.

The lemon biscuit went straight in my top division.

As long as you make plenty of notes. That way you can repeat the good ones using larger quantities. Nothing worse than making a fantastic mix and forgetting the percentages

It's Unite for us Bob. I won't say much on an open forum, but the best thing about them is the free diaries at Xmas. Some people might say that in the bus industry, the union reps get all the cushy duties so their not going to rock the boat too much. From what I can gather, in the railway industry, the union aren't "owned" by management, so their better able to negotiate - better pay rates being one example. I could tell you a load of horror stories about some of the things that have gone on at work, but like I say, it's an open forum.

The main problem with these new buses are the leather seats. Their rock hard and have half the amount of cushioning that the older seats have. I find some of the 20 year old buses are more comfortable than the 2 year old ones.

Get all your colleagues to write in complaints to them (U) and then maybe they will talk to the M about it.

True! Not a lot to lose :)

I see that concentrates of Queens of Puddings and Doughnut etc. are back in stock at Chefs!

I have heard good things about the wakonda, so maybe i will try some of that in the future. :)
I hadn't used mine for a few months, and when I tried it last week at 4 months old, it was very well steeped ..not sure how long it took to reach that stage, but it's really good - just wish I could always use it as it comes rather than diluted!

Mmmm free chocolate. Seems most places stick a freebie in now :)
Nicoticket send Zotz - got an apple one from them today :) ....talking of which - it was sent from Omaha on 4th, arrived Heathrow and cleared facility by 8th - and took 2 days to get delivered!

I've been called a lot worse  The Wife likes watching Vera, so I can picture her saying that
As soon as I read what you'd said, that popped into my mind!

Yes! I've got a fair number of tanks stored away. When/if I need to use a new one, I'll use one and then replace it for as long as they're available.
Gradually building up a stock of the various coils I use too ..hardest part is seeing which ones are best and then re-ordering from the same place., so I need to try one from each pack I get and if OK, hope the rest are the same!

If they can't stop retailers selling bottled flavoured VG/PG, then the nicotine will be all that's needed. So for now, I'll just buy a few more bottles of nicotine - fill the little freezer up with some bread or something useful for now.

Mail today:

I didn`t like the stock coils at all, maybe it`s the cotton dunno. But as soon as i built my own it was a different kittle of fesh  If you have got some 30 ga kanthal, i would suggest trying a build with that at the same ohms, bloody fantastic with Rayon !
