EDIT: now at 480f, and it has very nearly stopped, but much shorter blasts because of the heat.
Remember I decided to use that 0.5ohm coil in the blue subtank 'style' I got? - well the vapour was so hot it burned the roof of my mouth! ...I use it very carefully now! Be glad when it gets clogged up :D

I think most dogs don't like seeing a strangers hand disappear over their eyes to do goodness knows what, and while it's perhaps not too dodgy with a smaller dog, those with big teeth Teef and powerful jaws are best given a little wary respect
Our big one is very wary of strangers if they go to touch her when she's out - once she gets to know them though, she's delighted to see them. There's a lot of people carry Trebor mints or biscuits in their pocket for her! :)
She's not wary when she's in the house though - very loud barking at the window at the sight of anyone! I've seen burly delivery men virtually shaking in case she comes to answer the door with us

Just corrected That for you Trish.

Oh well then ..in that case!

That sounds absolute bliss! I'd love to live somewhere like that, or even close to the sea - our plan was to move to Oban, but getting older and realising that the nearest proper hospital was 3 hours away really put us off ...that and someone we know moving back down to the south after thinking they'd settled for good - she was a night care nurse at weekends, and she was appalled at the elderly care standards in Scotland compared to where she'd been used to (Hampshire) - put us off.

Nite Bob! :)
There's a lot of good things living in a small community like I live. The community spirit is good raised lots of money for a friend who had breast cancer not once but twice £2.000 was the cost of treatment and £30,000 was raised

But the downside is everybody knows your business

Yes, there is always that!
We once went to see a lovely house in a village - as we were driving around looking for the house, I decided we'd probably find it just a bit too 'close' as far as that aspect is concerned, and we turned around without ever finding the house.
It was one of those places with pavements that looked as though they'd been vacuumed, and little lace curtains at Georgian cottage windows ..twitching ever so slightly I was sure
No such thing as the perfect place to live - always a compromise of some sort.
We did like Oban though - got on well with most people, and looking out past the harbour had a very calming effect at all hours of the day or night.
Not to mention my Grandmothers family names on the war memorial and my great grandfathers home in nearby Appin.
It was one of those places where the very first time you glimpse it, you suddenly feel you came home in some way. It was a week after we'd returned home that my Dad told me it was where his Mother had been born! I'd always thought until then that she'd been from Dundee.
We were up there on a number of occasions after that until the gallery owner retired.

It makes an appearance through the clouds now and then Trish yes. :)
...and glad to glimpse it! :)

Using it on the Cloupor mini at 10.5W ...laugh away, I'd have probably set fire to something or electrocuted myself before now if it hadn't been for all of you! :D

Here's a data sheet, you might be able to make more sense of it than me: http://www.corrotherm.co.uk/resources/Nickel_200__201.pdf

That's a lot of data and information - I was thinking of the standard safety measures taken when using nickel welding electrodes & fillers for fumes etc.

On the other hand, why would a company that's making decent equipment use an element that would be dangerous in that particular application ....I'm thinking surely, it must be OK.

@Marcus1970 something to make you laugh, Pbusardo's review of the Coolfire IV the bit at about 9 minutes:

EDIT: He makes a valid point at about 38 minutes about where the fire button should have been - I was thinking exactly the same thing yesterday

My but he waffles! ...glad you gave pointers to the relevant bits:
Had he not read any pre-release stuff on these? I'm surprised he didn't know about that on/off switch seeing he gets to review so many. Easy that anyone that hadn't already read about it wouldn't initially realise, but I'd expect him to have done a bit of homework before starting.
Seeing I'd read/scanned the blurb on the pre-release info on sites to sell it, it was the first thing I did with mine because they did show that on/off switch - what I then needed to realise was that it still needed clicks to actually turn it on properly, but that was common sense after having a 'few' other mods.

EDIT: He makes a valid point at about 38 minutes about where the fire button should have been - I was thinking exactly the same thing yesterday
I think that's a matter of personal preference - doubt it's a hand size thing because my hands aren't huge, but they aren't tiny either - anyway, I tried mine and pretended that fire button was on the curve ..didn't feel as secure in my hand and didn't feel as naturally easy to press it either.
I tend to use the outer edge of my thumb or the side of my thumb near the joint because when I got a MVP2, I found the button a bit tough to press continually and it actually damaged a nerve in the centre point of my thumb.
So, for me, the button where it is works fine, but I'd probably get used to it if it were on the curve :)

Around 18.50 minutes, he gets to the VV/VW he didn't mention the instructions not being clear about how to switch it, but does show how it's done.
Those written instructions need correcting - not everyone will find this video type of information easily.
I agree with is comments on the actual adjustment of the voltage or wattage at around 23 minutes ..a bit awkward
