That's exactly my though on eye surgery. It would be just ,y luck. A lot end up being done as eyesight worsens again.

Without going into the major complications.
This one sentence from a newspaper article put me off,and these are regarded as two possible minor pitfalls(i had heard if you already suffer from dry eyes it can worsen the problem)

Been out this morning and can't find any mention of it.Any more news on the NHS handing out e-cigs on prescription Trish?

@Pictor
It was mentioned in 3-4 newspapers that I saw on Press Preview - it's a call for them to be prescribed, not something that will definitely happen.
Don't even know where they'd find the time and money to fund it anyway!
Make e-cigarettes available on NHS, say Government health officials - Health News - Health & Families - The Independent
Vaping: e-cigarettes safer than smoking, says Public Health England | Society | The Guardian
NHS to offer e-cigarettes on prescription to help people give up smoking - Mirror Online
E-cigarettes should be prescribed on NHS to help smokers quit, report says - Worldnews.com

It was also in the Telegraph too but I can't find it right now. Basically said the same.

I did feel annoyed at the obvious ignorance of both the rather patronising presenter and the film-maker Jenny Kleeman - presenter said they aren't proven to be safe, and Jenny Kleeman said that they are still an object that is 'smoked' ...I could almost hear the howls of protest across the land!
Editor Stig Abell said he fully intends to try one before passing judgement, and that everyone should do the same ...he didn't actually say whether or not he smokes.
They said perhaps they should have tried them on the programme, and the presenter said that it was impossible because one had set off a smoke alarm a few weeks back and put them off air. I use mine only in my work-room, so the vapour is always in the vicinity and adjoining rooms/areas. I'm only 5-6ft from a smoke detector in the hall outside the door of this room, and it has never been activated!
I wish there was an iplayer copy of that press preview available. Truly showed sheer ignorance on the part of one guest and the presenter.

Just seen it on the one o'clock news Marcus.
Some sanity at last,despite opposition.
How now can the British government implement section 20 of the TPD.

I don't think they join the dots up between major government departments and some of these obscure satellite departments that seem to crop up - may be that there's one part looking at the cash injections by BT & BP to the party coffers, and another that looks at the actual facts ;)

They may find the time from not having to treat so many smokers for related illness.
And the money may come from implementing a tax on e-cigs:unsure:
True on both counts
...but as seen in one newspaper article, if people can afford to smoke, they can certainly afford e-cigs and refill liquid. Doctors would need to find out a lot more about them to justify prescribing them.
On the other hand, I suppose a voucher for a free basic starter kit from reception wouldn't be a bad idea.

I began by getting one disposable in with my online grocery order from Tesco!

I liked the idea of the GP in Derbyshire: Doctor’s e-cig move to help smokers quit - Ilkeston Advertiser

Ah! guess what just arrived!! The Silver iStick 100W! So much for tracking
It's big!
Just trying to work out how the door comes off ...will take a look at the instructions and try it with some batteries! :)

....just needed a firmer tug.
Was already switched on and at 97.4W.

Turned it down and put a Subtank on it with a 1.2coil. It read the coil at 1.23 which I suppose is close enough.
Picking it up with my left hand to use, it does fit in my hand, isn't as heavy as I'd expected, and the base sits on the crook of my little finger OK.

So far, seems very good. It'll last me a good while between charges too at the wattage I use.
Half charge on the batteries I put in so onto charge now.

My iStick 100w came as well.It seems a nice.solid mod.Good strong magnets on the battery door.

Tried the iJust 2 tank on there a .3 coil at 70w.Nice big flavoursome clouds of Mrs Bees custard :vapor:

Seems to be a bit of button rattle, which is not a problem IMO.Trisha did you choose the epacket option (I did) just wondering if it's any quicker :)

I noticed the fire button has a slightly louder 'click' than others, but the + - buttons do have movement on them.
e-packet option ...not sure now ...don't recall seeing that. I just chose the China Post and the usual padded package.
