I'll finish this bottle and put the other away

Yes, I didIt is very bright - sort of subox with the colours opposite way (think I remember you saying the buttons were quite bright)
Sorry it's been rough ...keep resting!Happy New Years everyone. Sorry I'm a day late. Been a bit rough going so far but hopefully to improve soon
I hope you're all doing wonderfully and already off to a stellar beginning!

One of the problems with being Self Employed - if it's not done in time you get a fine, I've managed to get myself £200 worth of tax knocked off this year's bill, they brought out a new thing whereby if one of you has £1060 allowance to spare it can be given to the other half to reduce their tax, handy for people like me who's other half doesn't get much in the way of taxable income (all of her disability allowances are tax free) and her pension is peanuts.just fed up having to do a full year accounts before the end of the coming week!
I may try it eventually - got a lot of liquid right now!Must admit,i held off for a few months Trish. So glad i tried it.
It will be interesting to see how the Stash - Lushington compares.
My husband has a (not very big) personal pension, so together with the state pension, he has to pay tax.One of the problems with being Self Employed - if it's not done in time you get a fine, I've managed to get myself £200 worth of tax knocked off this year's bill, they brought out a new thing whereby if one of you has £1060 allowance to spare it can be given to the other half to reduce their tax, handy for people like me who's other half doesn't get much in the way of taxable income (all of her disability allowances are tax free) and her pension is peanuts.
I hope you get it sorted out easily!@Pictor writing that reply just reminded me, I have to get in touch with DWP they haven't paid her pension this year, she usually gets it second week in December - more hoops to go through.
Because she never worked, she only gets her's once a year it is so small - not even £4/week - my company pensions (2) are well over my allowance so I also have to pay tax, that's why I was glad to be able to claim some of her allowance, makes up for those years they stole the married man's allowance from us, who's partner's don't work - that was a very nasty piece of legislation, good for working married couples, but hard for one pay packet families. My pension is a joke - I opted for the married stamp back in the 60's, and it was only around 15 years ago that an accountant on TV explained the dire situation of such. She said you'd have needed a thorough understanding of the pensions system & jargon to fully appreciate how little pension it would really mean - they merely told us back then that it would just mean a slightly reduced pension, but save a lot each month in our salary!
At that time, my accountants told me it would cost a huge lot to pay it up to date to ensure a full pension!
Seems they always get the best deal - not us!Because she never worked, she only gets her's once a year it is so small - not even £4/week - my company pensions (2) are well over my allowance so I also have to pay tax, that's why I was glad to be able to claim some of her allowance, makes up for those years they stole the married man's allowance from us, who's partner's don't work - that was a very nasty piece of legislation, good for working married couples, but hard for one pay packet families.
My BT one was only a 5 year one so is just under a £100/month but the 40 year one from the railway is a good one, but when the state pension comes in at the end of the year, then it will drop by just under the same amount, that was an option I took, so that the pension remains stable, rather than having a lesser amount for the 1st five years and a bigger one next year.Seems they always get the best deal - not us!
My pension is around £280 per month - never thought much about it until this past year when I haven't worked much!
My husband only had a personal pension for 14 years, so although welcome/useful, it's not a lot.
I'm yet to come across two company pension systems that are the same!My BT one was only a 5 year one so is just under a £100/month but the 40 year one from the railway is a good one, but when the state pension comes in at the end of the year, then it will drop by just under the same amount, that was an option I took, so that the pension remains stable, rather than having a lesser amount for the 1st five years and a bigger one next year.
I got just over 2/3rds final salary (based on standard pay) but I'm definitely going to have to ease up on my spending starting this year, otherwise I'm going to have to dig into my Mutual Fund monies, luckily that is now worth a little bit more than what I put into it, even though I took 11 grand out 2 years ago, but I don't really want to touch that any more for at least another year. Price rises haven't helped at all, although hopefully I won't have any large outlays for a few years to come.I'm yet to come across two company pension systems that are the same!Nice to know you have that stability.
Ours was a final salary pension, and would have been great if he'd been able to start it earlier. He only started with the company 14 years before retirement, so good when he retired 10 years ago, but not great since the rises in prices/costs of recent years.
Must admit, we've had to use some savings this past year - normally my earnings paid for 'extras' above the usual household bills & food, but that gradually became a supplement to the monthly bills mostly, especially when sales went so quiet around late spring 2012.I got just over 2/3rds final salary (based on standard pay) but I'm definitely going to have to ease up on my spending starting this year, otherwise I'm going to have to dig into my Mutual Fund monies, luckily that is now worth a little bit more than what I put into it, even though I took 11 grand out 2 years ago, but I don't really want to touch that any more for at least another year. Happy New Year to you too, didn't do too much over the festive season, too old to bother these days and not much in the way of family to worry us either, mainly just watched old movies and had a few glasses of beerHappy new year. I hope everyone had a great Christmas.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a small or vapor flask style squonk clone?
Thanks a lot.
