similar to the chalice III build/deck wise, I wasn't fond of it but there again I'm not a MTL vaper
Chalice iii is a bfa right? The steamCrave guys pointed me to a ate wih a lot of small bfa - I guess I should try to find those without the bottom feed part.

I know there are some smaller 14-20mm atomizers. I'll try a single and dual nickel build in the magma tomorrow and see what I think there's great flavor but I find it to be quite messy - certainly dripping isn't great at 3:45am lol. The magma can be .... to one side with the afc. It tends to get pretty hot - maybe hats a symptom of the clone? Would you agree that by and large clones seem to transmit heat more? Certainly seems to be the case with the ones I have. Cheaper steel
I guess

Right now I'm running a single Clapton at .7

Probably the cheaper steel, some of those 14-16mm ones have an ordinary screw to replace the BF one or they come in 2 different types BF or Normal dripper.

One question why do you keep rebuilding your tanks, I normally change the wick after 6 or more tankfuls but very rarely rebuild the decks, just clean & dry burn/brush the coils to get rid of the gunk build-up (kanthal of course)

Think you may find that 99% of decent drippers out there are meant for dual coil or more and cloud chasing, single coil are usually small like the chalice, one you could look at is the Lancia, it has a system of blocking off 3 of the 4 air holes so can be single coil built, only problem is that if you drip over the blocked holes it can leak.

my drippers that usually have a single coil in them are the veritas and the derringer. Would recommend the veritas highly for flavour. Derringer I have single coil just cos I get spitback and too warm a vape when dual coiled.

I used to run my magma clone single coil no problem though.

I rebuild them every few days but with 7-10 going that's one or two a day. I rewick almost daily. The gem tanks are particularly picky. Sometimes the stainless one takes a couple of wicks to
Get right with the cotton or rayon. My adv is a sweet 90% vg. Heavy caramelization.

I'd had some issues with a couple of
Mods which left me not using temp control much. If I use temp Control and I don't change flavors then I don't rebuild anywhere near as much. I never keep the same wick for
More than two Days. By day three it's in need of a change. I can show you the wick I have after a few hours and you'd think it was time!

What would help me reduce it is to
Keep the same atomizers on The same mods with the same juice. I'm Just coming to the end of several Experiments to arrive at that point. Which juice taste best on which build in which tank. My adv tastes completely different in 0,3,6 and in the gem as well as the piccoloid More than anything. Nothing else has the same flavor as that. But every other tank with it has a similar Profile with potency being the difference. It's a shock how different that juice can be under caring circumstance - which is why I wasn't shocked to read in here someone thought it was disgusting :)

Realistically I see the rebuilds if I keep the same
Flavors and mod / atomizer combos at around where you are / 20 ml max for a wick. Mostly temp builds means no fry burns for me.

All that said when I build with twisted or Clapton the dry burns work very well. With 28-30 gauge not so much. Depends how much dry burning they need. The wire gets very brittle and very black.

I've kept playing with this magma over the last couple hours of not sleeping. I really have it dialed in even without a standard build in there. It's more than good enough with the squonk for me to
Figure out if this is a good way to go. If the squonker tastes as good as the magma with less mess of dripping I'm going to be a very very happy boy / probably order a second.

I sleep about 4 hours every two days.

I also vape a TON right now at least 15 ml a day - I've started injecting more nicotine to cut that down - i definitely reduced to fast and the few flavors I love I just chain vape all day - bed rest plus nothing to do plus medication = vape-O-holic

Point taken though. Some of it is probably boredom and trying different builds and such that wouldn't change with a setup change

I had a veritas clone - unfortunately it was a very poor clone - the insulator just flat out melted. I should order a different one. I assume the authentic is really expensive. I didn't like the clone enough to commit to $100+ but the authentic may do it. I always did the dual offset chimney coils. Never really figured out how tondo angiostatin single as it fell apart too fast.

Do you have an authentic or clone - if clone which is the one to get ? Mine was an unknown brand bought locally for far too much.

Edit

All the veritas at fasttech but the 26650 29mm versions are discontinued. Guess I have to try another site - what has some unknown to me clones.

@Bobw1951 I just did a proper microcoil build in the magma and it's all I need. The flavor, density, and volume is fantastic and as you know proper Microcoil builds don't create a lot of heat. Turns out I did the research before I bought the magma and not only bought the leader or one of for flavor rda but managed to get the right 1:1 clone also. My failures with it were in building differently than my norm. Had I stuck with my typical
Build I would have been dripping s long time Ago! What can I say I was new to vaping and the people teaching me said I needed dual sub ohm coils - by the time
I knew better I'd forgotten I had it

For those who don't know. A microcoil is often misused as a synonym for coil. It's simply one type of coil and the requirements are typically 1.5mm under diameter or less and typically ~10 wraps in a contact coil. They make excellent flavor and wick super fast. Incredibly fast to heat and very even typically can increase density. They are a bit more Fiddly to make and wick due to the reduced diameter

Most people stopped making true microcoil smashed the belief one needed sub ohm coils to get huge hits became the norm

If you've never tired a real
Microcoil and you're a lung hitter. Try it. They're cooler by nature but you may be willing to meet in the middle at least when you taste the flavor. [emoji517]

Mine is one of the discontinued ones:

$8.49 Veritas Styled Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - 1:1 clone / stainless steel / 21.8mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Which is a shame. Surprised they don't have them anymore. The marquis is a similar design but much better for dual coils.

Focalecig have a veritas clone but it isn't 1:1 so not sure what it would be like.

I see from your other post you're happier with the magma now though. I haven't used mine in a while because I like a bit more airflow these days. Current favourites are the velocity for TC builds, the sapor and the mutation x v4.

Just brushed up. Wow. Strict laws. What's the idea I read about no branding? Just that it can only have a name not a logo and such? Presumably to prevent advertising e lefts from brainwashing youth who glance at it one time from ten feet away?
...well of course - can't have them turned to pillars of stone can we (as in looking at Medusa) ;)

I'm all for not smoking and for making cigarettes go back to tobacco and paper. But honestly. Cmon
Overkill for sure.
If there's no branding or name on the cigarette packet, how does a shopkeeper (especially a non-smoker) know what he's looking for!

I've still not seen the 1.5ohm coils anywhere!

I can't find the 1.5 coils for the iSub.Maybe FT have made a mistake on the description.Quite sure the iSub S comes with a.5 Clapton and a.5 normal coil
Thanks. That's why I asked - they say 1.5ohm, yet the coils are 0.5!
MyEpack do sell 2.0ohm though, so it's puzzling: INNOKIN ISUB COIL HEAD
