:rickroll::rickroll::banana::banana: Well done trisha

Excellent! Well done you! :)
Thanks! - through the first year, I still couldn't believe that I would stay off cigarettes, even though I never really wanted one.

Struck me fully when I came home from hospital, knowing that once able to move around, I still didn't bother with it until I got home!
When I smoked, I'd have crawled all the way to the downstairs entrance to have a cigarette!

It's true then ...if I can stop, then anyone can!

My saying was always "I've given up giving up"
I made two attempts in the previous 30 years, and failed both times: first by gradually cutting down ..got to two per day and my Mother died, so that put paid to that, second time it was with the chewing gum ...hate the stuff anyway, but found myself smoking whilst chewing it!

Finally, after over 40 years of gradually smoking more and more, I use a disposable with no intention of giving up, merely not having high BP and smelling of cigarettes when having a check with the doctor one day, and find I smoked 25% less by the end of that day without even thinking about it!
Intrigued, I decided to see how far I could take that merely with the intention of trying to cut down, and telling no-one, and at the end of 2 weeks, smoked my final cigarette. It was another three weeks before I told anyone, so never had any scrutiny or pressure.

I had 200 cigarettes in the drawer at that time, so always a safety net there, and they're still there!
Been serving as a reminder of what not to do again in the past year, but about time I chucked them out I think!

A month or so ago, my husband saw a teacher shivering (out of sight) to have a cigarette in her break when he was walking the dog, and he told her about me ...he always tells people that if I could stop, then anyone can! So far, he hasn't seen her since - so hopefully, she's sneaking a few puffs on an e-cig in a cupboard somewhere

Presume you want flavour rather than clouds Terry.Single coil so you can easily stay above the 1Ω and no overhang for your istick?
Getting a little old school now but worth a look at,i bought one a week or so ago.

Thanks George, i`ll take a look at that later :) Yeah i only want it to try new flavours, rather than keep cleaning a tank out :)

Been well over a year since I tried those, and didn't buy them again - just not my favourites. Others liked them though.

Depends what brand they are - I have some info for some of the other brands.

As I understand it, high VG needs more flavour, so I always go to the upper limit with all of them, and add a little more if needed.
Chefs used to have a page on their site for percentages of their own, and the other brands. Rough guides, as people use different ratios of PG/VG, and taste things differently anyway.
With their own line, I've added alternatives in brackets when I've seen any mentioned.

This is what I have regarding other makes - (some can be verified either on the manufacturers website, or often by searching on this site.):

FLAVOUR CONCENTRATES
Flavour concentrate strengths vary depending on which company make them.

FlavorWest aka FW are known for having some weak concentrates, this doesn't make them a poor choice (FW Double apple tastes just like the real thing!) it's just you may find with some that you need a higher percentage say 20% and therefore it limits you to 1 or 2 flavourings per 10ml but, what I personally find to be a weak flavour, you may find it strong. Again, it's all down to personal taste.

FlavourArt aka FA and Decadent Vapours aka DV make some really strong concentrates and some you only need to use between 1% and 5%.

Most of the FA tobacco concentrates I would recommend starting at 2% because they are very strong and they really come alive after a 2 week steep (some can take longer!) Some of the more general flavours need much higher i.e. 10% or more.

Mom & Pops aka M&P make some great standalone flavours and are great mixed between 10% and 20% but this would be down to your personal taste. Again, these really do benefit from a decent steep i.e. 2-3 weeks.

T-Juice also make some great standalone flavour concentrates. They are a great beginners concentrate because you can get great results from only using one concentrate. Use anything from 5% to 25% depending on your taste.

The Perfumers Apprentice aka TPA or PA have some amazing concentrates but they all vary in strength. We have used PA from 1% up to 10% depending on the type of juice you're making.

Inawera, LorAnns and Tasty Puff are all extremely strong and I personally wouldn't go any higher than 5% but again it's totally down to personal taste

Capella is any DIY mixers staple. I think every DIY mixer will have at least one Capella concentrate in their mixing box. They can be hit and miss but overall they're a great product. Use anything between 5% and 20%.

One on One flavourings are new to us and we're still playing with them ourselves but from what we've found so far they can be quite strong so use anything between 5% and 15%

Here is a usage guideline for our selection of flavour concentrates...

FlavourArt - 1% to 10%
Their Tobacco concentrates are extremely strong.

Decadent Vapours - 1% to 15%

Mom & Pops - 10% to 20%

Perfumers Apprentice - 1% to 10%

Capella - 5% to 20%

One to One - 5% to 15%

Inawera - 1% to 5%

Tasty Puff - 1% to 5%

LorAnns - 1% - 5%

FlavorWest - 10% to 20%

Rebranded 1-5%

Chefs Choice 10-20%

These percentages are only guidelines and not set in stone. Making your own juice is a personal experience so tweak them to your taste. If you're following a recipe you've found online and think you might find some of the flavourings a bit high or a bit low then change them. No one is right when it comes to percentages. It's down to you to decide whether you like Capella Vanilla Custard at 10% or 20% or whether you like more VG and less PG.

_________________________

They do have a few other brands that I don't have the percentages for - Mount Baker is one (They call it Master Baker) and I saw this on the Mount Baker website a while back:

Our flavoring concentrates are strong and should be used sparsely.
We recommend the concentrated e-juice flavoring to be mixed at 15% - 40% with Unflavored Nicotine Juice.

They used to be pretty good for such info., but both descriptions and mixing ratios haven't been kept up to date very well since they got the new website.

Can't comment on that because I've not used it for a long time, and certainly never mixed any.
No doubt though, where there's been any reformulation due to diacetyl etc., there'll be a slight flavour difference with some, and perhaps also the percentages will need tweaking to suit.

Best would be if they produced a guide page for percentages with up to date info. A rough guide is all we'd need as a starting point.

I hope the tooth pain subsides quickly! I've had teeth suddenly become sensitive or painful at times, and it tends to go of it's own accord.
Certainly agree re steroids - I got a cold type bug that was going around before Christmas, but it hit me like flu and made me quite unwell.
I've been off them 6 weeks, and still getting rid of side effects. The worst have gone though: terrible back, joint and muscle pains, sleeping long hours during the day/evening, palpitations/rapid heart rate, uncomfortable distension, swollen glands in throat .....lots of things, and I'm really hoping I don't need to go back on them, as some ailments can be steroid dependant. It's quite likely that any unusual problems you get are down to the steroids.
I saw my consultant yesterday after 5 weeks of no medication (the maintenance non-steroid one made me short of breath it seemed).
I'd had a scare on Thursday evening when I though it had comeback, so lucky I had an appointment yesterday, but he reassured me that it was unlikely, and was probably IBS which can become more troublesome when someone gets colitis.
So, he's put me back on the maintenance drug, one tablet per day for 2 weeks, and go to two per day if all is OK.
Not sure what to expect because the breathlessness didn't go away altogether, so will need to play it by ear.
An alternative, other than low dose steroids, is a much more complicated treatment that involves much monitoring and blood work repeatedly, and as such can be expensive. It'll mean a shared system where the insurance/private consultant will pay part, the GP the rest, so we'll have to see if they'll be happy with that if need be. Can't say I'd be happy having to have more doctor visits and blood tests! Just having to go has a psychological effect on whether one feels well or ill!
Shame about the medication though because the consultant seems pleased with progress - after ominously pointing out to us both yesterday that I'd had a particularly vicious attack of colitis! - and he said that with care and consideration with things, I will hopefully remain well if we can only get the maintenance medication issue settled.
I'm really hoping this medication works, because the consultant said that if all is well, I don't need to see him again for 3 months unless something crops up.

I do hope you feel better very soon - I did find that some days I seemed to take a few steps back-over much to my frustration, and it can be quite upsetting/alarming until things progress again. Have faith in your own resolve and determination, and in the meanwhile, I'll keep my toes crossed for you ( I hope to need the fingers to work if I can persuade myself!) :)

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. I haven't been around too much. I hope your new plan has worked out for you. My weird tooth pain doesn't seem it was. Seems like jaw pain maybe from
Something else. Or they tweaked the nerve that runs into the mandible. I'm a bit frustrated that I'm a month last surgery two and I'm still so laid up. My better half says in being impatient and that two spine surgeries writhin a month is likely going to take some time. After that one morning where I felt so great though!

Thanks for the percentages. The Queen of.ouddinfs I made close to a.month ago has really settled down and is tasting good. The first error batch which is unfortunately large never did settle. I may write it off or use the last of my concentrate to strengthen it up. I believe I was just impatient with steeping.

@Bobw1951 squonking still.isnt here. Left.calkfornia two nights ago according to tracking. Wow that's a very long ship time.

I just received my huge yaeliq sample.order. None of.his juice is terrible. I'd say half is relatively.accueste and half is odd the mark. Red licorice is not good. Seems like.maybe Israeli red licorice may have a different flavor than we are used to. The upside is if I mix it with a but if black.it seems to be pretty good. The black.lkckeice is all.anise. So.if you like that flavor of a strong maybe German or Dutch licorice or even maybe like the parts of all.sorts that are licorice then you will.like the vape. Can't see vaping more than half a tank and a time. Just like I.woukdnt eat a pile.of licorice.

The tiramisu is pretty good.

I have too, many flavors to take up your time. So if anyone was curious about any of the yaeliq flavors let me know. He recommended steeping anything with creme for a month from ship date and all.othwrs two weeks. Most of what I ordered is steeped appropriately given the travel time.

I will say that i am.dksappointed by the tobacco flavors.

Zoosha is a nice tasting vape but I don't really get tobacco from it. Possibly as I never smoked a pipe. I do.like.it and I wish of the three I'd followed my instinct to get the big bottle of that rather than the sale.item which was premium.t. I.dknt.kmow what they're imitating with that one but it's just way off. And not good. Also since I smoked Marlboro I tried red type blend and that too is pretty far off a cigarette. I don't expect a vape.to be like smoking but honestly I wish I could find a flavor that was like a cigarette more than what I'm finding. Possibly more steep.time.will.help
