Nice little Dragstar, great for summer cruising the country roads.
I'm back to see my specialist in a couple of weeks. He should be impressed with the progress on my right and pull me in quick to do my left. Then it's full out rehab, so hopefully I might get back out for a bit of summer riding.

You'll be back to riding before you know it Dave. My Missus had a knee replacement just last year, within a week she was off the crutches and using sticks. Ditched the sticks after 3 weeks and now she's almost back to how she was 20 years ago. Our bodies can do amazing feats of healing when we really want them to :)

Brilliant Dave, hope you get out soon mate. I`m guessing you got a speed machine ? Have you had it repaired, or replaced since your accident !

This is what I was on

But I need something more upright, I went down to Wales to ride this home before I knew all my ligaments in my knees where shot.

Nice 200 mile home for the journey back on a bike. :)

The first one was a Blackbird, now it's the big Varadero.

Just ordered one of the 3fvape Vaporflasks in black.
I was looking at originals but the price difference is massive and i think it still isn't beyond the evolve chip to go wrong. So i think it's best to settle for this and have the money to buy three other mods to boot.:thumb:

I was wondering how long it would take you george  We will be able to do the learning curve thingy between us now :toast:

Not sure if this works but I'll try it.
Ps the Varadero is a 1000cc.

That is actual footage of the crash, it's only about 30 seconds long.

Hi all been absent for a day and a half and 15 odd pages of this appear to read through!

I was expecting you to get one of them VF that is.

Nah my rDNA 40 is holding up fine so probably won't get another dna40 device unless this one breaks. I love how small it is so a vaporflask would be a big change I think, and I don't find I need more than just one 18650 for a days vaping at work so the double battery thing is cool but not necessary for me.

I'm sure Adam will help you out

Thanks MATE I suppose i`ve always got youtube

They are a bit tricky those Ni200 builds so happy to help if you have issues terry.

My coil in the lemo needs changing I think, it's lasted weeks (maybe a month?) though on the same wick before having any issues, and must have had at least 30ml of juice through it, probably more like 40ml.

Past few days the dna40 chip has had some trouble recognising it as a nickel coil and started firing it like a normal kanthal coil which isn't a huge deal in a tank as it has been wicking enough to avoid dry hits but the resistance has been jumping around as well so I think time for a change tomorrow when I have the time. Shall see how gunked up that sucker is!

The recipe was of the other forum
17% capella vanilla custard
3% pa dulce de leeche
And 1% em
Mixed at 75%vg
It takes a few week to steep
I have not tried grants but really like this one.

Sent from my GT-S7500 using Tapatalk 2

As chance would have it I was planning on mixing that up tomorrow. Had the capellas VC for a little while (and it's good on its own to be honest) and got the pa dulce in my chefs delivery this week. Where I saw it mentioned people said more like 10-15% VC but you're using 75% VG so that might be it.

When I was on the trains, going down the Salisbury road, we used to get a lot of Helicopter activity as they used the railway lines as a point of reference to follow, could always tell when it was a Chinook following us, they have a very distinctive sound.

Love helicopters. Chinooks and other twin rotor helicopters just look so impressive.

Not in chinooks but was lucky enough to spend many hours in smaller helicopters several years ago. One day one of the younger pilots decided to give us in the back a little "treat" by flying down a river valley "vietnam style (his words)" banking from side to side. One of the most alarming and exhilarating experiences I've ever had. Like a rollercoaster but with a far greater sense that you might actually die. He later asked us to not tell his boss about it

The older pilots were always saying "there are old pilots and there are bold pilots" and I can see why.

Same here,i don't do camping.Pulling on damp clothes and trying to have a wash and shave in a bucket of cold water, nah.

Personally I really like camping. The trick mate is not wash or shave, much more pleasant then

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Subtank Mini I received from myepack has an issue with the 510 pin so the RBA deck doesn't make connection. I've tried everything I can think of and have concluded the 510 pin isn't long enough in the base to make connection with the base of the OCC coils or RBA. You can pull the metal pin out of the base of the OCC coils a touch to make connection and they work fine but as the RBA deck has a different set up that doesn't work.

I've sent a message using the "contact us" page on myepack. Has anyone had any customer service dealings with them?

I presume it's just a QC issue with kanger as I couldn't find mention of the issue online. Tried the OCC coil for a few minutes after I'd fiddled with it (thought I shouldn't use it much if it might have to be sent back) but upto 30W it was really good. Draw wide open is maybe a tiny tiny bit tighter than a lemo wide open and the vapour and flavour is great. Really impressive.

Was just looking at both the Bird (1100cc) and your latest, and thought it was the 1000cc rather than the 125
That was some crash, amazed you both survived that and I now see why your handle is what it is :)

Used to hate working trains back from Reading after the festival - definitely had to hold your nose.

No but if you don't get a reply, phone them - have heard on another forum that they don't always answer from the contact page or emails.

Had the first one done New Year's Eve and I'm back on the cross trainer already so things looking good. Just waiting for the second op on the other knee now. So things looking good thanks.
Considering the accident was august 2013 and the other party pleaded guilty in court a couple of weeks after I still won't find out how his insurance company are going to play the game till early march.
Always a long road back to proper recovery, and always way too long for legal proceedings and insurance! Things like this need speeding up a lot.

I did use the Spiritus code though to try out some new juices (I get the e-mails from them too). Ordered :
Gizzard juice & Duck's breath - from the Quack's range. They didn't have any Goose juice in stock
Sucker punch & Mother's milk - from Suicide Bunny.
All are small bottles, except for the Mother's milk, they only had 30ml bottles in my nic strength.
I got a small bottle of the OB to try it. Not totally sure about the PG content but I do know their strawberry caused me a problem. The PG may be OK because I reckon some of Chefs could be up to 30% plus on flavouring, so thought I'd just try that one :) .

Some people never get on a bike again after something like that  .....of course, some people never get the chance! So good that you both survived, and at least you're both recovering :)

Not sure if this works but I'll try it.

I've seen that before - still an awful sight.

It's Terry mate, that guy can waffle sometimes :laugh:

With a bit of luck we'll both get them on Monday :)

I'm hoping so Bob. I've been holding off recoiling, but I think I'll have to do a couple today just to tide me over until the new toys arrive :)

I hope you're ok with it Trisha, good idea just to get a small sampler first though. I've had a quick try of Mother's Milk before (guy at work had some), quite liked that one, so I've ordered a 30ml size in that one. However, my quick try was on a cheapo Nova and basic Ego style battery, so when I try it in one of my rebuildables, it will probably taste a lot different. Just wish they had the Goose juice in stock, but I reckon the other 2 juices will give me an idea of what I can expect from GJ. Hopefully I'll like them all and can order direct then :)

Back of my legs went all funny watching that. That's a nasty business Dave.Great you're on the mend.Hope you and the wife make a full recovery.

...but there are no old bold pilots

My old fella worked on Spits at Biggin Hill in 1940 and was accepted as a pilot. He said they didn't want older blokes as they may have thought of the consequences
before getting stuck in

.

Re: Cloupor Mini explodes, it appears there have been another 3 now, but that is still a small amount out of the thousands that have been sold, I think it is people not allowing for headroom and trying to push these small devices to their maximum that is causing the problems, the last one had an Atlantis on top and the person was vaping at the full 30w (it's the only one so far with info on what/how it was being used) and it's nothing to do with the charging, it's a chip on the board near the up/+ button, I tested the charging on mine and it only draws 450mA from the USB port.

My VaporFlask is in Beijing already so hopefully on the plane later today and with me sometime next week.

Hello Ian, day off??
