Ah! if all they are doing is staying in NY then no good anyway, Newark is the closest place, that has a shop, I very rarely stay in one place more than a couple of days, I like to travel around and see as many places as possible.
She's a lecturer & works with textiles - got some work in an exhibition there, so it was an opportunity for her to see her work on show in NY. (Something I never got to do when I had an exhibition on 57th St) - she's never been to NY before either.

To be fair Trish,so do i.
8/9 orders and they've been as good as gold.

(i have read otherwise)
They often get things in quickly when they're new, and often at a competitive price. Lately they seem even better - they may get some more expensive things, but that's up to the buyer. I've never had reason to grumble.
I shop in pretty much the same way unless it's a retailer with a truly bad reputation: if they have what I want at an acceptable price with good service, then so be it.

Is it my imagination, or have things gone quiet regarding new 'stuff' in the offing ...the next big thing? - perhaps the iStick & eleaf in general have galvanised things for a while ...or are they worrying about the future?

No good for you but we are waiting for both the Lemo II and Aspire Atlantis 2 to be released to the shops, I got an order in for the first, but the latter hasn't even got a date yet. Not sure if it was Innokin or Aspire that has a new mod in the offing - apart from that the only things that are coming up are really expensive high-end Pinoy mods.

Afternoon all, just been having a catch up.

Got to work tomorrow, but then I've got Sun and Monday off so not too bad :)
Had a reply from RM about the state of the order from Dominion. You were right Bob, big apology, but that's it. I do hope it helps speed up the returns process back to Dominion though. But my Quacks concentrates arrived in the UK on the 1st, so hopefully those might arrive soon.

Had a laugh on April Fool's Day. The guy on the radio at work did a great prank. The radio call went along these lines:

"Message to all Drivers from the Engineering Department. Overnight, all our buses have now been fitted with small wind turbines on the roof at the back. They are connected up to our ticket machines, to try and help speed up the scanning of passes. Engineering found, that the extra boost of electricity made a big difference to the scanning speed of the machines. However one of our Engineers noticed that a couple of the buses had lost their wind turbines while out on the road this morning. Probably due to the high wind speeds today. If all Drivers could check to see if the turbines are still in place, when it is safe to do so - at the terminus. You will know if your turbine has been blown off by looking at the date and time on your ticket machine. If the turbine is there the date and time will be correct. However we have noticed a small glitch with some machines not showing the correct date and time, even with the turbine in place."

After dinner the Drivers that fell for it, where thanked over the radio for checking and reporting the turbines as missing. 26 Drivers fell for it.

I watched the debates myself on TV. Here's my thoughts :

Miliband - complete .... and looks like a cartoon character.
Clegg - sounded professional, but I couldn't see him running the country.
Cameron - less of an .... than Miliband, but a bit too smug.
Wood - looked totally out of her depth, but did get better as she went along.
Farage - loves being controversial, I'd have a pint with him, but wouldn't give him the keys to number 10.
Sturgeon - reminds me of a School teacher, very polished, but I didn't agree with some of her policies.
Bennett - did talk some sense, but her main priorities weren't mine.

So basically, they were all good to some extent and terrible in others. I think it's just a case of voting for the lesser of all evils.

I purposely gave it the swerve Bob, these showcases are more about personality than politics

Well, I watched it today (recorded it). No game-changing stuff. The women all did well. Nigel was unsparkling. Dave held a steady course and Ed was trying hard to be "Hell yes-I'm tough" but not quite bringing it off. Natalie Bennett did very well for the Greens, I thought. Nicola Sturgeon was the best briefed and is clearly highly dangerous.

You did right avoiding the chippy Trish.I went into one in Dundee and they were cooking Pizzas in a frying pan:facepalm:

I had fish 'n' chips for the first time in a month yesterday. It was glorious - golden crispy batter crackling open to reveal succulent cod. And the chips. :)

I haven't had chippy chips for ages, I dont think they taste the same out of cartons, we have a small chippy by us that has about 6 seats in the back and their split and fish fresh out of the fryer is fantastic with a round of bread and a cup of pot made tea

Sweden or Malaysia are the only other options bob

small order is it - think you only get the other options when you have a bigger order - never tried Sweden but the first 2 you mentioned are usually via Singapore, think they are better now than they used to be. Malaysia is usually the only option when something has batteries in it.

Same here mate. We've a similar chippy near us, supposed to be one of the best in Rochdale. Problem is, it's hardly ever open. Only ever seems to open at lunch time. Must still be doing ok though, it's been there for at least 10 years.
