Nah! Scrub that,
Yes scrub that, we are talking about the 510 pin, which is made of copper and probably a flat head screw, don't know about you but I have quite often shaved the edge of off a flat head screw (if it is a philips/posi head then not so bad). I wrecked the copper battery adjustment screw on my black Kangxin VF and can now only use the other battery tube, luckily it'll work with only one battery.
No never done anything like that Bob.
No never done anything like that Bob.
How did you wreck your flask, cross threading the battery cap ?
No, inside the tube at the other end is an adjusting positive screw, the battery caps were sticking out after inserting the battery, so I tried adjusting the positive end, and didn't realise they were reverse threaded so ended up ruining the screw, and the connection. Copper is softer than steel or brass, even though it is more conductive.
Regarding Bob's flask, if it is the battery cap.
With the cap being copper and the softer material,i doubt the threading in the body of the mod is damaged.
So it's probably a case of obtaining a replacement cap.I'd be asking Kangxin if they would sell me a pair of caps.
I think this is why shortly after we obtained ours, they went on to brass as per the original.
Edit: we were obviously both typing at the same time Bob![]()
How difficult is access Bob,if you remove the top plate?
It's not a massive fix if you can get in there. And you could fit a spring loaded SS 510 at the same time.
There's a lad on FB Wayne socrates stone(i think) will probably do it for you.
Keep the parts mate,we might need them![]()
We'll if you decide to scrap it at anytime Bob, I wouldn't mind having a look into it. Not pushing, just putting a thought in your head for a later time maybe.
