Yes you can use the .5 coil Trish, you will have to increase the wattage though, probably 15 watts minimum. Just give it a try, you may be ok to go a bit lower.
Ok then, I'll try it! Thanks :)

Wonder if the colour will come off when put in the Ultrasonic cleaner like the PT3 did
 ...dunno ..looks like blue glass, not coated, but you can never tell ...I don't use an ultrasonic cleaner, so perhaps mine will be OK! ;)

Just ordered some and more English trifle
:thumb: Sounds like your type of flavours, hope it's good!

Going to order a blue one on Friday
 I've got a mini in the basket!

Trisha, Kanger will soon be selling OCC's at 1.5 ohm. When you order the Sub box mini it comes with a Subtank and two coils a .5 and a 1.5
MyEpack haven't got them in yet ..was supposed to be today but now it says coming soon...I'll wait! Didn't realise it had 1.5 coils. - can see it now you mention it! :)

Evenin' all.

First lot of vapemail arrived today. The 3D printed voltage display surrounds arrived. I ordered 4 of them. Now I won't need to spend ages carefully cutting and filing out the slots for the voltage displays on my hand built boxes. They look pretty good and they fit perfectly. I just ordered plain black ones this time, but next time I can have them printed in different colours and with a polished finish too.

I'm doing very little at the moment, things have gone a bit tight financially. I've been doing a bit of swapping and trading here and there, and making a few small engineers type chests which I've been selling on. I've I've been learning lots of other little crafts that cost little but save loads. I'm enjoying the bits I'm doing it keeps my head busy and away from the bad things in life.

Ian know you are feeling brave;)Do you fancy popping the top off your flask and seeing if it'll take a sprung loaded 510:)
And how much Goooo is in there.I think looking at the present 510 it looks a bit small to take a 22mm one.
Not that brave mate
There's a post about the first production run though with some internal pics, things might be different now with the ones we got :

Once my digital calipers arrive, I'll measure things up properly George and see if a sprung loaded 510 will fit and if so, what size. Are your tanks not sitting flush mate ?? I only use mine with a Lemo and it's nice and snug.

As long as you're keeping busy that's the main thing. Helps to take your mind off the bad stuff, I agree.

I've been doing a bit of research myself mate. Mainly about building circuit boards, the parts literally cost pennies to buy. Had a look earlier at breadboards for prototyping - quite interesting but also a bit baffling. I have to read it a few times to get it all to sink in

here's a good site, well worth a look mate :

Yes i use the drop on it,but i'm a lazy bugger and each time i refill or change,i'm playing with the adjustment so the tank sits flush. It's like the pin moves when i remove the tank.I've ordered a second from China this weekend they were reduced to £26.

I'm still waiting for the slow boat from China that set of on the 8th May with some parts. A member in USA has just me one of his handmade enclosures for me to build and finish, an ally and wood one. I've done some trading and got an icig v9. A smy 35 and a smok m65 also coming. I've modded my saw table and router table to work better for me, got a bench just picked up as well. So lots of new toys to keep me busy.

To be honest, I've heard different ideas on having a sprung loaded 510 on a TC mod. Some people think it will be fine to use. Others reckon you're better off with a plain adjustable 510, so you ensure a good solid connection to the topper for the TC to work properly. I can't see any reason why a different 510 can't be used though. It's just a case of un-soldering 2 connections and soldering a new 510 in place. The tricky part could be actually mounting the new 510 in the hole, especially if it's glued in place. All the 510's I've used so far, are held in place with a nut - a lot easier than trying to use glue or epoxy and much more solid.

Where did you order the VF from mate ?? At that price, it's cheap enough for me to get one and re-use the chip and possibly the charger board in another build :D

So far I've only used the FDV ones. Nice and easy to work with and they come in loads of different sizes and variations :
510 Connectors

I've got some cheapo ones coming from FT, so I'll see what their like.

I saw that post where you were chatting with the guy from the USA about the enclosure, looks great mate. The alu goes really well with the wood - will make a lovely looking piece.

That's the thing with larger work shop tools, everyone uses them differently. If you can alter them and get them to work the way you want them to, it has to be a good thing. Make life easier for yourself, I'm in favour of that :D

Oh well never mind. At that price, I'm not surprised they went quick. Nice colour too mate. I was going to get the red one myself originally, but I've got a few red mods now. Plus Terry persuaded me to go for a blue one instead

That Break Tru site looks interesting, but like you I'm gonna have to read the same parts over and over to try to understand them.
There's some good stuff on there. I've not studied a proper electrical schematic for years though. I look at some of the symbols and think, what the bloody hell is that  I find it easier to follow a video or written guide. I don't mind wiring diagrams either, as long as the parts are listed as a part rather than a symbol. Hope that makes sense
