Had a go at making a Clapton coil today.

Don't have a drill with variable speed so had to do it by hand, which is a pain but I got there in the end.

25ga kanthal with 32ga kanthal wrapped round, 6 wraps around a 3mm screwdriver came out surprisingly high at 0.82 ohms.

Stuck it on the istick 50w as that's my most powerful regulated mod and it's pretty ferocious at 40-50w. A little bit of ramp up/down time compared to normal builds but it creates thicker vapour than those. Flavour is really good as well.

Not sure I'll be doing many of these as I have to do them by hand but it was an interesting build.

Edit : that's the mutation x v4 by the way.

Just been having a look at a couple of vids, including how to hand build, and it definitely looks like a lot of work, but that does look real nice Adam.

Looks like a lot of the kind of patience I don't have! :) Neat! :thumb:

So how does this e-bay discount code thing work???
Enter CTWENTY in the discount code box on Paypal and it knocks 20% off anything you buy(site wide).
What's that/where did it come from George? Can't say I ever noticed a discount code box with Paypal, but then, I've never expected or looked for one.

They've pulled the code Trish, saying there has been an admin error, but will reinstall it later(which could be B.S)
But there were a couple of guys on UKV both bought new TV's this morning and it worked.
I was trying to bag a US cleaner liked Bob pointed out the other day.Would have worked out at £20 inc Free postage, but i just missed out.
Never mind see what later brings.

It sounds a bit 'wacky' but if it worked then good for those that got it! :) Can't say I ever heard of PP giving discount before, but who knows!
'Admin error' ...perhaps means it should have been 2% ...we'll see!

I can't get my head round how it may work at 20%.
Like you said at 2%, you'd presume Paypal was taking it's normal fee from the seller and passing half to the buyer.
BTW. There is a redemption code box on the e-bay review order page.

The absent vaper has returned

Not had much luck recently and I won't be able to stay on long. But I thought I'd better stop by and give you all an update.

Went to sort out the suspension on my car a few days back. Bought some new coils spring compressors to do the job. Spent over an hour, slowly compressing the springs, because they have to be compressed that much - to do it quickly could be dangerous. Had extra straps in place for additional safety. Just as I got to the point where the springs were compressed enough, one of the four compressors slipped. That was my first trip to A&E to get my finger glued up - it wouldn't stop bleeding after an hour, so I thought I'd better go and get it sorted out

I've not been able to type properly because of this, so hence the reason for my absence.

Next trip to A&E was on Saturday. Woke up at 5am with crippling back pain. I know these newer buses I'm driving is causing it. But I don't know yet, what's causing the back pain. Currently seeing the Dr to get my pain meds at the right level, but the meds are making me a little dizzy still - so I don't think I'm safe to drive buses at the moment. On the sick for 2 weeks, until I get my meds right.

So, I can't sit and type for too long, as it gets a bit uncomfortable :(

Not having much luck recently

I'll be popping by from time to time still though, just to make sure you're all behaving

---------------------------------

No vapemail either which is probably the worst thing of all

Typical! Just what you don't need when doing such a difficult job! ...and the job still not done!

My husband was once given a different company car to the one he chose - wanted another Peugeot 405 diesel, was sent a Citroen ...he wouldn't even look at it when it arrived! After a few weeks, the back pain started and developed into sciatica. It only went when the car needed replacing, and they got him another Peugeot. I had to admit, the Citroen wasn't a comfortable car on longer journeys, and he did an average of 1000 miles per week.
Even when you get the pain under control and hopefully settled, what then? Will it start as soon as you begin driving the buses again I wonder - suppose only time will tell.

Not having much luck recently

If it's any consolation, I've had a rough couple of weeks at not being too well. Hopefully getting better soon!
Hope your typing finger recovers so at least you'll be able to 'chat' ;)

No vapemail either which is probably the worst thing of all
I only got two Chapter Xll 15ml bottles - but glad to get another bottle of the Hemingway. Gently flavoured but very nice, and easily can use all day if I wanted to. The other is Capote: pineapple peach banana cream - it smells good!
I find if it's a good banana flavour and only mild, I quite like it. I like the Moose Banana Cream Pie from Chefs.

It's normally just after you sign in to Paypal after leaving the order page of whoever you are buying from, I've seen it a few times and often wondered where you get the codes from.

That's not the one I'm thinking of, sometimes there is a box that appears on the Paypal checkout page that accepts a code as well.

Just ordered the one you pointed out on Amazon Bob(same model as on the e-bay snip i posted). Can't be bothered with that messing about with e-bay waiting for a discount code.
And it's direct from Amazon,so any trouble straight back on to them.
No more scrubbing tanks in the sink:)

You don't have to use the basket that comes with, sometimes I do, other times I don't - I normally pour a mug full of cold water in, followed by a mug full of hot, and press the set button twice to increase the time to 320ish (when you plug it in it comes up with 180) seconds, then On to start it. When finished just pour the water out then wipe with a cloth.

Typical...

Thing is Bob,i've racked my brain to think of something else i might need. But the trouble with e-bay for mods etc,it's generally more than 20% dearer than we can find the things for anyway,so no bargains.

eg.Snowwolf £120

Some discount offers are just not worth it - I was thinking if there was anything I needed with the same result.

Suppose if you need to think about what you want in order to get 20%, then it's not usually worth it  ...I can't think of anything
