Terry is the crown better than the Kanger Subby and have you tried your QOP home brew yet:)
As things are now Marcus i would say that the subby wins hands down, but when i get my own build in the Crown things may be different so i`ll have to report back on that one.
I`m very nearly out of the ready made QOP now, so will be trying my home brew any day soon. :)

Still wandering in and out but nothing much to say ....each day a little bit better.
Not needing anything new, barely using 1ml per day really, and to be honest if it weren't for the habit of use, I likely wouldn't use anything at all. It never entered my head in hospital: was either out of it, too nauseated from the multi antibiotic IV's, or just too worn out to bother.

I'm getting terribly hungry all the time, but that's possibly down to two things: treatment for many weeks to come is ever diminishing doses of a steroid anti-inflammatory which amongst other things make me hungry frequently, and the awful diet I have to stick with for the time being: low fibre! None of my favourite vegetables, fresh fruit salad desserts, malted wholegrain bread, salad, fibrous or skin on vegetables, and many other things that we are used to eating.
Instead I have to stick with small quantities of red meat (no different really), white bread, little variation in vegetables, soft unskinned fruit, tomato puree, fish, chicken, and no coffee. Alcohol is easy as we drink very little of it anyway.
Could be that even the small amount of nicotine I was using has affected my appetite once I stopped using it, but the past few days I have used a little, I can't say I've noticed much different.

The consultant wasn't exaggerating when he said it would take a long time to recover from this, as I have little energy still. Apparently, paramount is an on-going attempt to prevent another episode of it - which could well happen if I don't keep an eye on things.
I see him on Wednesday morning, so will see what I can expect diet wise in the coming weeks.

My main hope is that I can be free of further prodding and poking and hospital appointments as it makes me psychologically feel 'ill' rather than recovering. Visiting our new GP's is preferable if I feel the need.

Going to have a little snooze before lunch now :)

Takes things easy Trish, time is the best healer with rest.
I know what mean about the vaping/smoking thing while I'll. I'd just started the vaping journey and was just off the cig-a-likes and onto the my first ego types when I had the crash. Nearly 9 weeks in 2 hospitals and I never thought about it.
The minute the ambulance dropped me back at home and I crossed the step that was it, the crave hit and I lit up. Took just over a year to get back on the vape. Hadn't enjoyed smoking for years before and not bothered about vaping much now. It's just the physical habit with me, I'm sure of it.
Get well soon.

You'll get there Trish, just take it slow.

OH! And do as you're told :w00t:
Yes, hopefully it's all working, albeit slowly. ...and yes, I will do as I'm told as I have no desire to get that dangerously ill again if I can avoid it.
Boring diet, weak aching muscles & joints ...but so be it. If that's what it takes to stay well, I'll do it.

Yes, I'll go with it and let things take their course towards recovery - not usually so patient, but desperate not to get to that stage again.
So odd when you think how we clung on to cigarettes, that we can disregard e cigs so easily. No brainer in those first 4-5 days, but even after that, I wasn't bothered in the least.

___________________________________________________________________________________

Now, regarding what I suspected regarding ulcerative colitis and stopping smoking before it escalated to the level it did: Initially I had a consultant who was fighting the infection with some pretty aggressive stuff, and he asked did I smoke, and I told him yes, until 20 months ago. He and his colleagues exchanged knowing nods, and I said that I did know about the link. (Anyone with a genetic marker for suffering from UC under certain circumstances loses some sort of protection when they stop smoking, and a percentage (true statistics unknown as yet) go on to develop UC).
He further asked had it run in my family - it had not, so he said that the trigger for mine had to then be stress, so I needed to try and avoid all stressful situations in future.
I'd had a number of stressful situations to deal with over the past 2-3 years, and it obviously built up to an intolerable level.

M y second consultant was the 3rd ward I was moved to for starting treating the UC itself, and again, the same exchange with me, the consultant and his colleagues. He said the they're getting increasing incidences of UC occurring for the first time in some ex smokers, and that they would be the percentage that would be more likely prone to it under certain circumstances. No doubt because of the huge numbers managing to stop by using e cigs! Nothing has ever been so successful before.

This is where I'm seeing one probable good use for genetic marker testing for specifics, and my GP agreed - he said that within 10 years, they may be seeing people asking for a test for just such a possibility when they're considering giving up smoking, and they can then discuss with their doctor the for and against depending on their general health at that time.
I for one was never ill at all when I smoked. No saying I never would have been, but it would have been good to have the information to weigh up the options!

@Marcus1970

What's the highest vg juice you had thru' your ijust tank mate? That is comfortably, without dry hits.
Gearbest EU have the tank for 7 quid, got to be worth 7 quid;)

Talking of which, don't think these items should be bundled.......

80vg.But you need to get a small needle.A sewing one is good and slowly push it through the cotton,in the juice holes on the coil.It will Vape like a demon then.

I'll look for a link on YouTube for you.

I'm in a real sweet spot at the mo with my setup, 1 isub G, 1 ijust2, 1 arctic and 1 on the way. 1 istick 50w, 1 vt60, 1 coolfire 4 and a Penny 35w in cherry on the way. Everything works nice and easy no fuss at all. The thing I'd like to see is rebuildable bases for the attys.
Still got some old bits and pieces stashed away but I don't think they'll ever get used.
