Surgery update
--///
Returned from surgery half an hour ago. Much more painful than the last. Much more with it after anesthesia this time. Probably the reason I'm in a ton more pain. This one was pretty brutal.

Very strict post op. Six weeks literally not even putting on my own shoes. Ugh. I have to stick with it as I screwed up the last post op.
Anyway
Hope everyone enjoys new year! I'll be catching up on the thread tomorrow. ;) upside to down time. Glad I rebuilt six devices before this one.

Btw fasttech have a great deal
On two Samsung batteries. About $9 I think took a while to arrive but I can't find better and he Samsung work very very well. I'd say they're up there with the vtc5. A hair below.
Glad it's done and hopefully went well. Sorry it's painful ...perhaps they'll give you some more pain relief?

Batteries ...link won't open for me - do you mean these?: $10.09 Authentic Samsung INR18650-29E 3.65V 2900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Batteries (2-Piece) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping (no rush for reply - when you feel more comfortable etc.!)

These are not the correct batteries in the two pack but are in the four pack linked . I'm running four of them now and battery life is functionally as good as the vtc5 batteries which are considered the best around. I won't be buying more vtc5!which are over twice as expensive while these are available so inexpensively. They're just outstanding. 25r

Here they are as a 2 pack in link from my order. Initially I bought them elsewhere for a bit more. I felt hey we're as good as any so I got them from fasttech subsequently. If you google or check fasttech reviews then you'll find many vapers prefer them and stick with them as the performance for price just can't be even competed with let alone beaten.

$9.90 Authentic Samsung INR18650-25R 3.6V 2500mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) - 35A peak discharge / 22A continuous discharge at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

If you check the battery test comparator for the tests done and look at the relatively high power drain tests you should see they're as good as anything. Though I haven't done that check myself. His page is great and he guy is pretty meticulous. He tests in flashlights.

Battery test-review 18650 comparator

25r have a 20 amp max draw which means they're safe even if you're on a mechanical mod running a build of .22 (not that I would; just saying they're high discharge) I'd probably not go lower than around .22. At .25 you're just over 80% so maybe build .27 and up to be extra extra extra safe. I accidental triggered a draw at .08 build on one and it didn't even get hot. So max single draw must be very high. I felt lucky I didn't blow my hand off with that ridiculously dangerous mistake. (Long while ago)

4.2 volts / .21 build = 20 amps

4.2'is the max charge of the battery. So it's almost always 4.2 / build resistance = amp draw to calculate for safety.

Anyway you're probably more concerned with battery life and how well it stays healthy. Neither of those are an issue. In fact both have been great. My first pair are 6 months old. Charged daily and still hold a full charge and seem brand new. I'm sure they've lost 10% but it is imperceptible given how long they last.

Sorry for another long. Post. I get caught up tying to be thorough.

Don't buy those, they are NOT high drain batteries.
Correct! Have you tried the 25r I linked to ? They're great! I know you run a lot of mods - if I could id buy all aw and vtc5 but here over double the price typically. Indie some tests in the boxer and computed ml consumed with one set of batteries and it was within a standard variation between the vtc5 and 25r

Stop It  you are supposed to be taking it easy and resting
I have 8 x VTC5s before they stopped making them in Japan, 12 x 25Rs (both blue & green) from FT, 3 x HE2s, 4 x AW 20A (2200mAh), 8 x AWT 2600s from FT & 12 x KeepPower 2500s, all the latter are for my dual battery mods. I try and keep up to date battery wise, looking on various sites like lygte and checking the testing of them. I also have a few older IMRs which can be used in my =>30w mods like DNA30s, Provaris and some mechs that I have with <=0.5ohm atties on.

He appears to like it, and he even does an update to tell you that you can use your own DTs :)

Saw that but it doesn't seem ideal with the o ring left showing. But i think the dt on it is ok.Vinny could soon knock one up in a nice material,if needed.:)

Thanks - put in my wish list! :thumb:

I realise I got the 4 pack in July, so I'll get another pack soon!

Yes, life and quality are what I'd be looking for! :)

I'm not going to ask you any more questions if you insist on taxing yourself at a time when you're supposed to be doing as little as possible. ;)

OK - thanks Bob :)

Hi folks - hope you all had a very merry Christmas. I did - just back from Fuerteventura (near Jandia) which was great. Just dropped by to wish everyone a happy, healthy 2016. :)

BTW has anyone seen the latest govt. drinking limits? 1.5 units a day for a bloke. It's as if they are desperate for all the pubs to close. :(

Bob - I think you mentioned first amendment rights and vaping a few pages back. If "the pursuit of happiness" is an "unalienable right" then banning vaping would seem to be a contravention of that. Oddly I was idly musing about this on hols..

Bah Humbug  although I did have a nice evening out with a couple of friends from Antwerp on Tuesday, we went to the Café Concerto just off Leicester Square for an evening meal. Hope you have a good New Year too.

Most decent pubs have already closed, or they have been taken over by toffs and normal people can't afford to go to them, it's the same with caffs, all you seem to see these days are posh caffs that sell fancy cakes etc at ridiculous prices

There was the option to order when you bought your aromamizer from UK Ecigs, duh!

But they are cheaper on Steamcraves site, free post if you order over$30. ;)
Not on the options when I ordered - It was on a special offer 2 post version - there was options for getting the 3 post deck & coloured glass but not the OCC decks, when I looked on the SC website, I remembered seeing them before
