Yes,i'll stick to his others;)
Good to know - I'm not keen on peach ones anyway, so will wait for the Cookie Monster to show up at 70% VG (He said it was due soon some weeks ago!)

I've tried that one Bob.Big Mommas is a good strawberry creamy milkshake from Rejuiced
I have a few Rejuiced sat waiting for me to try them - must get around to it. Only tried the banana one so far and it seems quite nice.

I saw some new ready to use ones at Chefs -
Legend: Legend - ChefsVapour
Tickle Me Pink: Tickle Me Pink - ChefsVapour ..Think I'll try a small bottle of this one.

Welsh Custard is back too, plus of course the Caramel Cappuccino and Geeks.

Had a fairly decent day with our dog - much brighter with the new tablets, and she's eaten most of her food too. Still not easy giving her these three aspirin sized tablets twice each day, but tonight it worked in pieces of Snickers bar rolled into little balls. Seems if she sees me eating something, then she thinks it must be free of nasty tasting stuff! :) (I don't even like Snickers though! ...but it's for a good cause.)

It was good for us both to sleep well last night. Seems much better now that we've decided on a plan, even if it won't 'fix' things.

Hope that's minus the chocolate !
No, but the chocolate isn't really thick on those - mostly the gooey peanut filling, and it's probably the chopped nuts that mask the hardness of the pill.
A small amount of chocolate like that shouldn't harm her. We never give them pieces of solid chocolate, but a very small piece of a chocolate biscuit or something like a Kit Kat has been a treat on numerous occasions. We don't eat them, but keep them for visits by our sons!

If the vet is happy to have her on these Paracetamol and codeine tablets (Pardale-V) for a time, then I doubt small amounts of chocolate will harm her. We'll only use this method for some evening doses of tablets. I find a rich moist fruit cake used in the same way works well for other evening doses.

I thought you would have known that chocolate is poisonous for both dogs and cats, just google "chocolate and dogs" for loads of references, you really shouldn't give them any chocolate product.

Of course we know about dogs & chocolate (grapes & other things too) but a small slice off a Snickers bar, thick bit of chocolate cut off the top, and the pill rolled up in what's left and it gets taken. It's not a high grade chocolate, nor is it a dark chocolate, so much lower levels of theobromine. She's always had small bits of chocolate biscuits, and never any adverse effect - she even grabbed a whole chocolate biscuit that fell onto the floor once and ran off with it.
Whatever, it had to do for now - getting the pain under control is so important. I'm getting an assortment of caramel/peanut or similar things that are a bit 'lumpy', sticky, and can be rolled into a ball - if one or two work, then we'll be doubly happy. Tonight it'll be fruit cake that has the pills in it :)

She's limping ever so slightly today, but hopefully it's just a passing spell. I hope so. She's otherwise bright and appears really happy.
I asked the vet for statistics from his own recent 'patients' on palliative care, and it quite literally can be a matter of days ...weeks if we're lucky, and extreme luck we don't even think about yet.
We just hope for another day each night, and are grateful for each good day she gets.

Oh! okay, sorry to hear Sophie is limping again, hope it's not something to worry about, I'm sure she will soon let you know if it gets worse, by either not moving around or eating properly, let's hope it's weeks and maybe longer, fingers crossed for her.

Thanks Bob - I appreciate your concern, and I'm not happy at giving her anything with chocolate on a fairly regular basis, but she was so shocked when we tried to put them at the back of her throat, it felt awful to stress her so badly. One she'd cope with, but three at a time is a bit much. I'm going to try adding a little water to honey, popping a pill at the back of her throat and squirting the honey from a medicine syringe immediately to make her swallow - may work with all three, or we may all end up in a sticky mess, but we'll try anything :)
Someone suggested rolling raw mince into little balls with a pill inside and giving her those ...we'll probably try that too!
I think eventually, we'll be given liquid morph., but that's the big guns and kept for the worst pain. (I had some of that in hospital and found it dreadful stuff, so hope she's better with it if she needs it).

Thanks for the good wishes - we're hoping for longer, but it's a complete unknown for now. It's good to see her contentedly sleeping after her lunch right now. I'll give her the daily dose of Metacam (anti inflamm./pain killer) in half an hour - she's always noticeably better after that.

Good news indeed!
I wish 'they' would make as much effort in eliminating corruption between government and big industry as they have done in trying to ban the biggest ever success in stopping people smoking a proven carcinogen!

It was incredulous to see so much of the supposedly educated world turn against such a positive through what can only have been corruption.
