Thanks for asking, both yesterday & today, she was very sleepy and confused, doc from haematology came to take bloods, had tried this morning without luck, but with both me and the nurse assisting he finally managed it, he said her state is down to the chest infection and she should get better once that clears up, managed to get her to eat some grapes and have a couple of drinks, and nurse said she had eaten her dinner okay, they had moved her yesterday from the Coronary Care Unit (before I got there) to another ward that deals mainly with respiratory problems, looks like she may be in for a few weeks, I'm a hopeless visitor, so don't like hanging around too much.
From that first Friday night, I was in three wards (2 assessment and a surgical ward) before I ended up in gastroenterology on the Monday ! Think it was Monday  ...but I do remember waking up in a different bed a few times. I always worried about husband and sons finding me ...can be odd going to see someone and finding them gone!
First few days I was drifting in and out of awareness, but I did manage to talk to them a bit. Rest of the week it was good to talk to them - it was always two of them. Suppose at first I wasn't very good company - just glad they were there really.
When my dad was in hospital, I went every day, made sure he was OK and comfortable, and had no issues with anything, talked for a while and went. He was no great small talker himself, so didn't expect it from me either.
Hope now that she's in the right ward, her recovery progresses well.
I'm sure you don't need telling, but take care of yourself :)

Received my communique from Dave today - haven't bothered to read it though
Oh, that! I said I wouldn't read it, and I haven't ;)

I hope all goes well for you both Bob.
I know what you mean about hopeless visitor, i feel the same whenever my mother is taken in. I struggle to even make conversation and spend my time sitting there awkward.
I'm not one for staying for hours with visiting, and thankfully, where I was didn't allow long visiting times. Suppose it depended on how I was and whether there was anything worth talking about :)

I didn`t even open it, straight in the blue bin it went. What a bloody waste of our money :-x
So your rubbish paper recycling is a blue bin too ...that's where ours is! ...perhaps I should have sent it back and asked for a refund!

Where I live we get given plastic bags for anything that is recyclable, only people with front doors that are on the street have the blue bins.

Don't have to worry on that front - at least I'll have no problem on Saturday, will be able to go to the vape Meet and stay till the end :) usually have to leave early - just got to make sure the cat has enough to eat

We'd prefer plastic bags ...the collectors throw the plastic bins down, and last week, ours got cracked in two places.
We got a cardboard/plastic collecting bag replaced once (big white bag with a thick base so that it stands up), but the collection men drag them rather than lift them, and it wears the bags out! Had our two replaced once.
At one time, we could email or phone the council and they'd bring a new one next collection day ...not anymore, you have to go to the council offices and pay £2 for a new box or bag!

Didn't think so - you're well able to look after your self, the cat, and the house etc. - just thought I'd mention it just because we all think about you! :)

Yep, that`s where all the crappy stuff goes Trish And i won`t even mention what most of it is ( Crap )
Seriously though, if we had the option for sending back for a refund, How much would it cost them to reimburse us ?? i guess about 8 mil.
I just hate the fact that they use OUR money to do such things, much better spent on the NHS and such :)

I saw a great cartoon in the press just after the mailshot was reported ...an image of no.10's front door with a heap of leaflets piled up against it, and the caption something like, 'Mark return to sender, you know the address'

Was really annoyed to hear it had cost 9.5million of taxpayers money ...and yes, they could, and should, do something much more useful with such sums!

I'm yet to see a single piece of paper that has two columns: the proven facts (truths, not speculation) showing the pro's/cons of staying in, and the pro's/cons of getting out.
Needn't cost a thing - put it online and email it to every newspaper/magazine. All free.

Our ones are just like giant carrier bags, on a roll, a couple of rolls popped through our letter box every 3 months, I bought 2 profile cans off Amazon, that I put all the recycle stuff in until Thursday then just grab a bag off the roll and fill it up, put it outside my door and they collect it Friday morning, the bags are probably made from recyclable plastic and therefore all they do when they get to the plant is chuck it all in together where the bag gets ripped apart and everything sorted automatically into metal, plastics, glass & paper/cardboard. Southwark's state of the art recycle plant has appeared on TV a few times. The only bags we have to collect is the brown paper ones for garden waste, free from the local libraries.

I'd prefer rolls of bags to what we have, but garden waste is put in clear plastic sacks, and we get a roll of those every year.

Sorry Trish mainly 50/50's
Couple from Bord02,Bonne Vapote Tarte Tatin and La belle epoque(lemon, coconut and vanilla pancakes).
And a bottle of SB MM.
No problem - I still like to hear about anything good.
I've had a few of the high VG Cloud Bord02 for a while, but haven't tried them: L'Ange Gardien, Prohibition, Vap'Sparrow, & La Belle Époque :)

For anyone who has been interested in the cloud one but either didn't want to spend $200 or couldn't get one.

I just received and built my 3fvape clone. While I don't have an original to which to compare it my first impressions are it's an absolutely perfect clone. Everything fits perfectly. It's 316. The liquid and air control are perfect. The flavor is great.

It's one of if not the best clone ice ever seen / and a couple of these with a couple of pico clones using the clr adapter. You'd have an army of flavor and quality clones for $100

It does have the airflow for direct lung but more the restricted direct lung. Not Mega cloud.

If you're s mouth to lung or restricted direct lung vaper. Grab this clone.

Two of these air holes but quite a small outlet inside as you see on the deck.

Very dense and flavorful. Very good clone.

Hi Pictor,

Just a quick question - you say in your sig that your first ecig was tried in 2014, but in the sidebar it says that you joined the site in 2009. Is one of these figures wrong or were you curious about vaping for ages? Just a friendly query. :)
Both dates correct - I got curious because I'd long sought a fool proof method to stop smoking, but found most didn't work, and others could cause dangerous reactions, so e-cigs were interesting.

I did join in 2009 and read quite a lot, but didn't get around to buying any for a long time.

My first e-cig was a disposable bought in the online shopping order from the supermarket in December 2013 - I thought it could be useful to use on days when I had a doctor appointment ....if I didn't smell of them, it would avoid the usual 'nagging', and also kept my BP lower when they checked that!
I didn't try it properly until January 2014 before an appointment, and found myself not having a cigarette for around 3 hours.
I bought a few more of them, and daily, I would use it longer and cut out more cigarettes - I treat it as an experiment to see how far I could go ...never intended to stop at that stage.
Then I bought a 'proper' starter kit from V2, (and later one from GreenSmoke) - within two weeks I was down to one cigarette per day, and on the final day, I had half a cigarette when I got up, and the other half around 7pm in the evening ...and that was it.

I still had 200 cigarettes in a drawer, and told no-one what I was doing. Promised myself that if I failed, I wouldn't kick myself, and no-one could reproach me for it.
Those cigarettes are still in that drawer, and have never even tempted me - I was far too amazed that I'd managed to stop after over 45 years! :)

Amazing - a real success story. It also shows incredible self-control. Great stuff. :)

Thanks very much - thing is, I didn't have to use much in the way of self-control ...I'm truly rubbish at that when it comes to something I'd normally rebel against.

I was really bemused when I got to the day I had no cigarettes at all ....and I did fully expect to fail at some point, and had already decided that if I did, so be it - after all, I didn't set out to stop, but did find some amusement in seeing how many cigarettes I could cut down to.
It was amusing to have a 'secret' too ...somehow, no-one noticed that they weren't seeing me with a cigarette or smelling smoke for over 3 weeks, and even then, it was me that told my husband when he decided to nag and tell me I needed to stop smoking

Perhaps not putting too much pressure on oneself - particularly by not letting others know - makes it less stressful.

35-40 per day in the last two years I smoked (although a lot burnt out while I was working), and smoking for well over 45 years, I still find it surprising :)
