OK - just wondered :)

I've just had a third mod get a problem! The new sigelei Mini I started using was constantly getting stuck on the firing button. Sometimes I didn't notice, and the battery would flatten overnight.
Yesterday, it wouldn't recognise the tank & coil, and was firing all the time (tank fine on a different one) so into the bin with it - I don't trust dodgy electronics!

I'm using another of my spares now!

It might be a good time to fish out a Pico. :)
Yes! Good idea :)

Been meaning to say - the Nautilus 2 tanks ...or rather the coils for them. I had two in the last pack I used that had poorly machined threads on the top part that goes into the top of the actual tank. As I was screwing in a new coil, I had a 3-4 mm piece of swarf thin metal thread go into my finger. Luckily, it was just visible and I was able to grab it with some pointed tweezers ...the second time, I let go of the coil just in time before the same happened.
It almost happened with one from a new packet - may have been part of a bad batch, but I unscrew/screw them using a tissue wad now.

I'm sorry to hear that - sounds nasty. Are these coils specifically made for the Nautilus 2? I use Nautilus Mini BVC coils in my Nautilus 2 without issue. Similarly I always screw the coils into the base. The top then shields fingers from the coil when you screw the top down.

Need to be careful there Trish ! And not with just with your finger. As that bit of swarf, if not removed can and will cause shorts :) Luckily on this occasion it stuck in your body
Aw thanks! ...but yes, thanks. I hadn't known that, and just a while ago, cleaned a new coil carefully before using it in the tank. Didn't seem to be any loose metal bits on this one, but worth checking after having a few faulted ones.

I just gave Hetty this new big toy ...had it since last September! We originally bought the fruit salad toys for Sophie, and still have two of them left - make good fetch toys in the garden as they're not easily lost in the shrubs, and can be put in the washing machine!
Hetty had an Aubergine that she's had since we got her, but it 'developed' a hole, and out came some stuffing ...so it's in the bin now. She's delighted to have a new toy! Never had a dog that loves toys as much as she does.

Yes, they're 'Nautilus 2' coils.
I screw them into the base, but of course my fingers are on the top part of the coil when I do that. I use a folded up tissue with them now though.
I still have some of the original Nautilus mini coils, but recall having a few unpleasant ones when using them before. I may try the ones I have again though.

Ha Ha, Yes I bet she has great fun with that. Couldn`t give Maya anything like that as it`d be ragged in seconds

Not sure about having three "power levels" rather than variable voltage or wattage. How will you find your "sweet spot" with any precision?
That I don't know - I'd instinctively go for 'low' and see how that is. I'd still be using 1.8ohm coils in the tank.
The Atopack Penguin regulates it's own power level according to which coil is used (0.25 or 0.6), and seems to do it OK enough.
