    So sorry. I had my hopes up for you guys across the pond and was ready to be very pleasantly jealous of you all if you won. This is a huge set back, but we're used to it right? Us beaten down dogs just won't go away and that has to count for something one of these days.

    A regret motion is simply a document expressing disagreement, it has no legal impact whatsoever.

    In light of the EU Referendum, I hope other people are contacting their MPs and the Lords to seek repeal of the TPD enactment. Let's make hay while the sun shines.

    Definitely worth it. That Heidi Alexander, the woman who blocked the motion is one of the many shadow cabinet members to resign following the referendum. So as long as she's replaced by someone with a conscience.
