What did you dry out? Needing to dry out an electronic device doesn’t bode well for function depending on where it was wet and how wet it was.

How long does it take to charge full when its dead? Charging for 10 minutes and you get a green either means a) it wasn’t completely discharged or b) it’s not properly charging as in the battery is FUBAR.

How old is the device, did it ever work properly, how have you been charging it in the past assuming it worked properly to start, has it suffered any major events like going for a swim which necissatated drying it out, etc...?

By battery pin I assume you mean the connection between your tank and the tube mod that contains the internal battery, that is know as the 510 connection. Not at all uncommon for it to be a little wet with juice. Now if it was dripping wet to the point juice may have entered the tube mod that could damage the circuit board or the internal battery. If that has happened its probably beyond economical repair.

You didn’t describe any event that would account for enough moisture to brick your mod, so I don’t suspect liquid in the mod is the issue.

Not clear on the order of things though, was it working when you put it on top of the stove and was no longer working when you took it off the top of the stove? How hot do you think it got sitting up there? I assume you didn’t expose it to direct heat from a burner, if you did then I think you have your answer. My assumption was it was receiving indirect heat just from being in close proximity to the stove.

Are you from the US and does stove mean cooking stove? Sorry but language differences on an international forum can create it’s own set of problems.

When you pulled the 510 pin up was the unit turned on? Is the 510 centered in it’s new location? When you look straight down on the pin do you see evidence of the insulator surrounding the 510 pin?

If it works at all I do suspect the 510 connection is working. When the 510 connection is the problem it will not fire at all, typically.

No the unit was turned off? Yeah when I look at the pin a can see the insulator at each side of it?

I charged it for 3/4hrs, light was green I took it off then it wouldn’t fire
In your original post you said it would fire for 3 seconds, now you say it wont fire at all.
Possible causes:
1) 510 pin not making connection
2) Battery dead, could just be a bad battery
3) Battery dead from heat exposure. Still need to know if it was working when you put it on the stove or not? As a rule heat is not good for

It would tire for 3secs then cut off before I put it on the stove

I then put it on stove and now it will fire but only when the charger is plugged in and will only fire for 10minutes then it’ll flash red light and turn off!!

I’m about to board my flight in 30 minutes, I’ll follow along once we are above 10,000’ and have internet.

1) Was it working when you put it on the stove?
2) How wet was the 510 pin, was it just a bit of juice or were you vaping in the shower?
3) Your original post said it would fire for 3 seconds. Was this 3 seconds before or after the stove?
4) Has it fired at all after the stove?
5) when did you adjust the 510 pin, before or after the stove?
6) Did it ever fire after adjusting the 510 pin

That eliminates the 510 pin as the issue, if the 510 was bad it wouldn’t fire.

Needing to be plugged in to work even for this short period leads me to believe the internal battery is toast. This is one of the reasons for using external batteries, you don’t need to scrap your mod when a battery dies you just buy a new battery.

As to what may have killed your battery, my best guess is poor quality control at the battery plant in China.

6) Did it ever fire after adjusting the 510 pin? Nope it wouldn’t
