So my knockoff eGo (my first that I use as emergency backup) was charging on the standard 510 charger today and the light was red. Then, it turned ORANGE. I unscrewed the batt, put it back in and it was green but then turned orange after a few minutes. My local says they have never heard of that. One caveat - this battery actually pulled apart while in my bag and the 510 head and battery were separated, exposing wires. I screwed it back together, it works, but should I ditch this battery for safety reasons? Maybe the orange light is a warning light?

Ooh. This post is ripe for 500 just get a provari replies :)

;)

I was gonna say get a genuine joyetech (like-with-like).

OP, do you clean the contacts on your charger and batt regularly?

And sure you are using correct charger for the batt?

Amber is orange, which is what color shows right before it is fully charged.....sounds like it's just not fully charged yet.
Difff batts behave diff in terms of colors. Cloines ususally go directly from red to green when fully charged though.
