Ah, another thread from the Nebulous n00b! :p

Last night was a better vaping experience than the night before when I coudln't get a thing out of my battery or carts. I think I have identified the issue. I cleaned the att's and all that good stuff as suggested but they didn't look clogged at all, and I even had used a brand new atty the night i had issues and still no throat hits, very little vapor.

I think the issue is this darn battery charger. I have noticed that it will SOMETIMES charge the battery by sustaining the red charging light then about the time that you would think it would take to charge it turns green. Well the night i had the probs I know my batteries were near dead but the green light would turn green in about 20 minutes. No way can i believe they were charged that quick when normally it takes a couple of hours to charge a battery almost dead. Yesterday the charging light seemed more 'normal' and i am sure i was using two charged batteries because the throat hits and vape was back to normal. THis is the cheapest looking charger I have ever seen. I wonder if it is a joye 510 knock off? Do 510 chargers typically have a really really short power cord? This one is very short. Never had a charger like this and it just looks very cheap.

I totally have discarded the use of carts altogether. I guess since i've been using the e-cig only about a week and a half all this trial and error stuff is normal. I realize i am not someone who is going to fuss with these darn carts and filler and stuff to the degree necessary for good hits and vaping. I just grew tired of it, it felt like all i did all night was remove cart, fuss with filler, put in drops, use a paperclip to ensure proper fill, then repeat over and over. I am just dripping right on the atty and it is much easier and tastes even better IMO. Someone asked doesn't it get hot and burn my lips using an empty atty but really it doesnt, i guess since i have the mega joye 510 model (which ironically i didn't realize i had until i got my PCC charger and batt or attys didn't fit!) the atty is longer than standard 510 and it gots hot around the connection but not near the area i am puffing on. So all of this has led me to the conclusion that I am probably going to be a bigger fan of drip tips vs carts or cartos. I will use cartos for on the go, that still seems easiest. I bought a five pack of pre filled cartos that just came in that are adequate. I don't think the experience using a carto (maybe its diff for ones you fill yourself, these are prefilled ones) is close to dripping on the atty, but when you are in public it is less attention drawing to have the thing already assembled with carto vs dripping.

This brings me to my next quesiton. I am just wondering if these 510 products are just made cheap or what because my PCC that came in a few days ago - i couldnt use it at first as my mega batt didn't fit. I ordered a regular 510 batt and sure enough, that fits ok. I charged the PCC up to fullest capacity. Popped in my battery. First time i put it in i got the little LED flash and it turned red to indicate charging. Good deal~! Wrong. After about five minutes the red light went off. OPened it up....pushed it back in, got the flash and light came on again. Five mins later, off again! Now when i push the battery into the PCC nothing. No lights come on at all! What is with these chargers for the 510 model? This thing was $25 bucks. Don't tell me it isn't going to work even once?

Is that normal for the lights to not be coming on? I know it can't be. Just can't. WIthout that light i have no way of knowing if i am charging or not. THe whole idea was to get the PCC, and filled cartos so that when i am on the go i grab it and go. Now i am worried that if the PCC is faulty i am going to be stuck out for hours on end with nothing.

I think at the end of the day and after all is said and done I will end up just putting the 510 away - keep it for back up, but go ahead and bite the bullet and buy an eGo kit and drip tips. I think all of this experimenting the past week has led me to believe this is the right conclusion and path for me to take. That way I wont need a PCC amyway - i only vape at night so one eGo battery will last me all night and I will have that second for back up. And the drip tips will eliminate any need for those messy carts. I will keep the prefilled carts for on the go action.

Yea, I think I just talked myself into that. So I will be out about around 100 bucks total for the joye 510 and accessories, but I guess that isn't that bad considering how much analogs cost and the fact that most people go thru trial and error when they start. It seems from what i read here almost everyone ended up not being crazy about the first kit they bought as it didn't meet their individual needs. I was going to buy a new 510 charger but really I think i should hold off, and just wait and get the eGo kit and that will have a charger with it so no since me plunking out more dough for a 510 charger. The 510 will still be around for a back up unit if needed. I didn't originally want the eGo as i dont think it looks as sleek as the 510 but oh well, looks are nothing if the thing doesn't work well. I might get the pretty pink unit. My 510 is purple, i love that. But i like the pink eGo. LOL (yes, im a girl, most people think with the name of jammin i am a guy, i dont know why hahah)

Whew, i am very long winded. sorry for the long post. Kudos to whomever actually reads this entire transcript! LOL

I'm trying to perservere :)

Sounds like you got it pretty much figured out. eGo will solve the battery troubles and maybe you might want to get a PT for when your at home. Other then that putting up a girly Avatar pic might help with the gender mix ups. Now i must take a break and rest my eyes from reading the entire transcript

Sorry, and bless you for reading it all. What is a PT?

If anyone can suggest the best site to buy a brand new eGo kit in pink many thanks. I am not sure the supplier i got my joye 510 from is the best as part of me thinks some of my kit is generic and not authentic joye 510 pieces. I am seriously suspecting the charger is an aftermarket add on or something. This is the same supplier that sent me 11mg juice TWICE in a row when i ordered 18 mg to help with my w/drawal symptoms.

I did complain to them and the owner sent me an email saying he was very sorry for the mixup and he would personally overnight me a bottle of usa mix 18 mgs. That was on tuesday. Haven't seen it yet.

Im finding a new supplier.
