Anyone here have a A7 ?
Im curious if I build a vertical SS mesh wick on it do I just have wick sitting on air hole in center of the posts or insert it into the airhole ? I saw pic of it set up like this but no info on it.

I have a chalice, which is similar to the A7 in that the juice hole is in the center of the bowl, between the posts. It's not good to obstruct or stick the wick in there because it negates the draining benefit resulting in flooding. :)

Horizontal Z coils like this are money:

You mean with the loopie in the middle? Fold wire in half around a toothpick or drill bit, then wrap from center out. I saw a coil like that in some instructions for a cheapo atty, once. I used to use it when it was important for a build to have the legs come out of the same side of the coil. Here, I used it to allow for space/wick in the middle, as I thought maybe a 0.5Ω Micro-coil could use a little more wick to keep it wet.

Must buy 26 ga wire

How's your air hole setup for something like that? Single dual?

It's a single enlarged to 1/16. The top (SS and hefty) is a bear to drill. I recently retired it for the summer cause it doesn't do humidity as well asy RM2s, I suspect due to relatively compact chamber size and air hole location. It is crazy good in cooler, dryer weather though.

I still think every bottom feed junky should own one (many have). They are a magnificent piece of engineering and quite beautiful with an amazing vape. I suspect that all of Mark Bugs products are of the same high quality. No other atty even comes close to the build quality of this beast.

I bet an opposing airhole would make this a better warm weather vape, but I'm not going to mess with it cause its too damn good when its cool and dry (7 months out of the year for me) :)

Thanks :) Since I dont have reo and would use A7 on my sigelei mod should I build wick just resting on top of airhole? Seems sticking it in airhole a little bit would not make sense for any device .Ive only used genesis style devices so wanna know as much as possible before I get dripper :)

I have never used one in a dripping application so I may not be the best source of info. Sorry :)

You really want your air flow to hit the side of your wikicoil. As I understand it, you're wanting the air to come up the middle of your wick tube. Nopers.

If you want to try replicating/approximating Genny type air flow, try a vertical coil in a side air hole device. this is my igo-l

and variation in the RM2

Those are fabulous looking pdib, i really have no idea how you are so consistently creative! How does that one on the RM2 vape?

T

AWW, thanks supertrunker, That one was a while back, while I was transitioning from Genny to REO. It is a very nice vape. More the mellow Genny-type flavors. I'm more into the SLR micros now.
