Hey everybody. I want some input on your favorite e-cigs ever.

Pen Style
"kissbox"/manual switch pen style
joye510- Titan, Yeti, etc (manual or auto switch)
DSE901
KR808d-1, (Nebula, VaporKing)
super mini

etc.. (Please feel free to insert others!)

I love the Nebula but know everything has it's pros and cons... Any feedback is appreciated!

Thanks,
Ben

How about some suggestions of a basic feature set. The assumption is that your device would continue to use the type of atomizers we are all using now.

1. Manual switch
2. Replaceable/rechargeable batteries
3. Variable voltage - either by using different batteries, or much cooler, the flip of a switch on the unit
4. Adaptors for use with a variety of atomizers
5. LED
6. USB passthrough ala JS

Heck, I just described existing devices.

7. Voltage or power meter
8. Integrated juice pump that holds at least 3ml of e-liquid

Now that would be seriously cool.

If you want a completely different form factor than the personal vibrator-shape described above, contact forum member tinear and ask him about the Sidewinder - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/10173-my-prototype.html. I believe, with a little work, this could be a really popular style of vaping device.

Nebula vs. 510

Battery Life - Nebula hands down
Throat Hit - Nebula for 1st 2-3 hours of a fresh cart, after that, 510.
Vapor - Again, Nebula for about 2 refills, then 510.
Flavor - Even

510 attys are more consistent for longer periods of time. I know Nebula attys are disposables, but I use 4-5 Nebula attys before the 510 atty begins to fade.

What would you say about Nebula vs 510c?..I own both but want some outside opinions on this :)

At the risk of sounding like a broken record on this forum, my only issue with the KR808D-1 is the design of the carts. They shouldn't start to burn up inside when the juice in the cart starts drying up. Even if it's not harmful to breathe that in, it just shouldn't be happening. It has basically changed my mind about using it or recommending it to people anymore.

I really think the 2 piece designs are the future of e-cigs. In particular a 2 piece design where the cart was designed to be re-filled for a certain number of uses.

As to a direct comparison between the Nebula & 510, if you ignore the cart issue, I think they both have their strengths. Although some people will disagree, from my experience I still think the 510 has more of a throat kick to it as well as vapor...

Thanks everyone.

Not to derail the thread--but to answer your question-- I would really love to produce our own e-cig but don't know where to start as far as the design..Does anyone have any tips?

Get in touch with Steve at puresmoker. Not sure how he would react to a competitor. As I'm sure you are aware, he is doing exactly what you would like to do.

All excellent points, breakfastchef. And I agree 100% that if someone could mass produce tinear's mod, I think it would be a huge hit.:thumb:

I too think the 2 piece design are going to be the future in ecigs. They need to not burn as RsL has said, at least not until you've been able to fill them a few times to extend the life of the carts. I think ecigs will eventually become completely disposable at some point.

New design idea for you.. you know those beer drinking hard hats that allow you to sip from two 12oz cans at once? Replace the beer with nic juice and an atomizer so you can vape... Totally kidding of course. No idea but for some reason that came to mind.
