I've read several descriptions of GD and I suspect that the ones that claim a maggi note are the ones I'll wind up agreeing with. (Maggi is a soy based flavoring and I keep forgetting to pick up a bottle at Walmart to see what it tastes like.)Question for those who have vaped INW Gold Ducat - if after ~5 hours of UC, along with ~5-7 extra days of steeping, I don't like it...is it getting safe to say it's a miss, or should I let it keep steeping to see if it changes (a lot)?
Tastes almost exactly how firecrackers smell the second they explode...
But, when I think about it, I no longer taste that...just something herbally.
I really enjoy it with a hot cup of coffee, especially after a meal, but not really an adv for me. I'm guessing it's going to be a miss for you because it mellows a bit but doesn't change a whole lot with steeping. That note, what ever it is, is there to stay, and you either like it or not.
Edit to add: From my notes, here's some blurps I've copied from various places.
Gold Ducat : a dark, sweet, black licorice tobacco.
Gold Ducat Very good honey and tobacco blend that is not too sweet, but adds a nice touch to highlight the smokey taste of the tobacco.
Gold Ducat-INW (tobacco & Maggi flavor)
Gold Ducat: doesn't taste like meat/soy/anything like that to me. I get nutty, honey, maybe whisky, and caramel. It seriously does mimic a NET.
Gold Ducat – Sweet taste. No grassy that I can tell. Too sweet for an all day imo.
Gold Ducat - Sort of a mild pipe tobacco, very rich, almost has a creamy element to it.
Gold Ducat: a fantastically rich pipe tobacco ( never got coffee), amber liquid that darkens and mellows with aging.
Shows how much our taste buds vary lol.
Anyways, you can always try it with some other flavor and maybe you can rescue it. I'm enjoying this at the moment.
Ina Gold Ducat 1.5%
Hangsen Peanut Butter 1.5%
