Vanilla is a hard flavor for me as well. It seems like the ones I like (original TFA, FA, and Hangsen) won't stand up to the heat and change flavor on me as I vape them. At the moment I'm using a combo of TFA Vanilla Swirl and Vanilla Bean Gelato, with some times a few drops of Capella Vanilla Custard V1 or Inawera Vanilla thrown in as well.

Stand a lone, the Vanilla Swirl is sort of a soft cone flavor, a little mild, but not bad at all. The Bean Gelato is supposed to have more of the bean flavor but I don't care much for it at all stand a lone.

But, for me, 6 bottle drops of Swirl and 6 drops of Gelato per 6 ml of my tobacco mix works fairly well. For anyone looking at vanillas, I'd recommend TFA Vanilla Swirl as a start and find some other vanillas to go with it.

I do have TFA Vanilla Swirl but not the Vanilla Bean Gelato. I guess I'll have to pick up some more vanillas to try with my next order.

I haven't found a vanilla worth bragging about yet. I wish I had, I had high hopes for Vanilla Bourbon and I haven't had it steeped yet but it seems like it's not that great but maybe the best I've tried.

I really like Vanilla for Pipe but it tastes rather strange in the mixes I've tried it in so far. It's a strange flavor...:)
Sloth, I'm still working on this! Madagascar Vanilla Beans in 100% PG. I keep taste testing it once a month, then add another vanilla bean to see if I can get it where I want it. I figure if you want a true vanilla taste you've got to use the real thing right! I mean Clark does it! [emoji3]

IM still trying to settle on a pipe tobacco I want to turn into a NET too. There are to many choices behind that squeeze bottle! LOL!

Looks delicious! And might work out really well with a net where you know that you'll be changing wicks quite often. Taste might be worth it though. Here's wishing you luck. :vapor:

I didn't get the strange feelings but I did get the harshness to my throat. I've held off on trying any clove type flavors because of that. Be sure and let us know how it goes.
It seems to have a bit more throat hit than I'm used to but it's not particularly harsh - so far I'm very pleased with it. The throat hit could be my coil, too. I'm experimenting with spaced coils for the first time, trying to reduce gunking issues (Dark for Pipe wreaks havoc on my wicks), could be a difference in the vape itself. Anyway, I highly recommend the clove flavoring as it's spot on IMO - not overly reminiscent of the Djarum cig harshness. The Garuda goes fantastic with it I might add!

I'm used to vaping Nicoticket in my Reos. LOL! I change wicks once sometimes twice a day anyway. And there will be some form of filtering after I get it where I want it. So far there is 4 whole beans split in half lengthwise.

I've found the 10% vanillin adds a nice flavor to lighter tobaccos without adding sweetness and the usual spiciness I taste in almost every other vanilla flavoring and IMHO it's not as overpowering as a French vanilla or custard / dessert type vanillas.
Capellas simply vanilla is good as well and not custard-like but it seems to me like more of a dessert type with the richness it adds, so I've used it in heavier tobaccos with good results.
I gave the vanilla bean steep the old college try back in my mad science days, but it only cut the life of my coils in half when I used it with my natural tobaccos. It wasn't great flavor from what I remember but I'm sure I did it all wrong and I have nobody to blame but myself. I admitted defeat and started buying my vanilla flavoring lol.
Makes me want to dust off the NET box for some old-fashioned fun.... Then I remember all the re-wicking and now I've changed my mind.

Guys, I'm way back in the thread reading and trying to catch up. Right now though, I think I want to get some INW Dark Tobacco. All I find at BC is Dark Tobacco for pipe. That's not the same thing is it?
No, it's not - I haven't had Dark Tobacco, but I know it is different than Dark for Pipe.

Thank you. Can anybody tell me where I can find the Dark Tobacco now.

EDIT: I would like to get it in the original bottle.

I ordered from e-aromashop recently, it was great. Fast, not overly priced shipping. Direct from Poland, original bottles. Haven't looked but I almost guarantee they've got it. They carry flavors I haven't seen sold in the states yet. I highly recommend the Dark for Pipe as well, and the Waffle...oh, the waffle...:w00t:

Vaped myself silly just now, testing some single flavors I have mixed up. Sampled some by themselves, and dripped various flavors together as well. These were all mixed either 3/1 or 3/3, given some UC or crocpot action, and have been steeping ever since. I really, really dig Garuda. Wouldn't vape it by itself but dang it mixes well. Based on my random drippings, I think (to my surprise) it will go great with Glamour Chocolate by Molinberry. I did not enjoy any chocolates including this one when I sampled them a while back, but, I wanted to try it one last time before ditching it. My god...it's delicious with that Garuda. Also on the wick (though faded) was Bourbon Vanilla and Vienna Cream, so, I am thinking of mixing something up along those lines tomorrow, maybe adding some Acetyl Pyrazine (spelling?) and/or EM as well (haven't played with either of those yet). I actually like the Garuda so much, I'm thinking I'll try 3% in the mixes. It's fairly mild in intensity, and I want it as a solid note in whatever I concoct...heck, maybe even a little higher.

Another one I'm intrigued in mixing up would be Garuda, Clove, Shisha Brandy Cocoa and FA Oakwood. I have a 2% Garuda, 1% Clove mixture that I'm loving (thanks Jimi for the Garuda+Gozdziki holiness), but I want more Garuda in that. I'm thinking 3% Garuda, 1% Clove and a dash of the Brandy Cocoa/Oakwood would be heavenly. Just heavenly. The EM is something I need to play with, and the AP as well...I feel my recipes are lacking in mouthfeel and moisture sometimes, and I like nuttiness.

DIY is fun :) ridiculously fun.

I actually enjoy Garuda on its own. I then mixed 5% Garuda 2% FA Fuji and 0.5% AP and its a nice vape. I think maybe I need a drop or two more of AP or to use EM instead because the Fuji has a harshness to it. After a steep I'm sure the harshness will fade, though.

That sounds really good man. I may actually mix that up tomorrow. Good to know I'm not crazy on the percentages with Garuda. I feel like I could go up to 5% as well.

I foresee a huge bottle coming from Poland because it will mix in so much

I find that all of the HS and INW tobacco flavors I have work well at 5% and I even use some at 7% (HS French Pipe for one). I also mixed up HS Virginia with FA Almond and FA Fig. I'm not completely sure what percentages I used as my notebook is at home but I think it was 4% Virginia, 2% Fig and 1% Almond. I may have use a couple of drops of AP as well. In fact I'm pretty sure I did. I was trying to find something that was similar to Charlie Noble's Tripoli and I think this mix scratches the same itch.
