Oh this is nice, 6 months really does a number on it.

The grassy hay has been melded into the spice, it's really hard to pinpoint any one note now. Damn this is good.
I'm not a steeper cause I lack the self control to let it be and I enjoy my concoctions shake n vape but I have a mix of Arabic and Brown Sugar Extra that I tucked in the back of the cabinet. Been there since 1/12/16. Only mixed 30ml.

You made me think of it - so I took it out and gave it a sniff...it's mellow and I agree with the spice notes. The brown sugar added some unique sweetness too. Ima let it sit a while longer...maybe into June before I consume it all. I almost hope I don't like it! Haha
I can't imagine waiting another 6 months for more to steep.

I was away for a month when Jeremy sent this, so it already had a month steep. Then I tried it and wasn't blown away with the hay/grass aspect, it was a little too forward. I put it up and was going to come back to it. I then moved and it got misplaced, found it the other day and set it out for testing.

I would drop the % by 1 on this Arabic, and I believe it's only 5% now.

I am certainly not known for patience, I always ordered juice I could vape when it arrives or no longer than a weeks wait. At least I have a few well steeped now from being lost :)

DIY has taught me some patience, especially when making NETs. But if I know a liquid needs a month to be good I won't order it.

Mix it now and you won't have to;)

I bought some brown sugar extra and some maple brown sugar ages ago I intended to try with my tobaccos and never got around to it. Now that you mentioned it, it peaked my interest again so I must dig them out and start experimenting. I think they will go really well with some of my NETs.

I've been using ss mesh in my Le Magister clone for the last few days. It's been performing really well with the only con being the juice builds up on the wall of the top cap, but I can deal with that. But if I stick with this, I think I'm going to lower my percents just a tad. Flavor seems just a little more pronounced with the ss instead of cotton.
I'm really enjoying this mix at the moment and it's a little bit of a change of pace because there's no added vanilla, caramel or sweetener lol. :vapor:

I may give this a shot when I re-up my supplies. I've got something similar right now that I'm toying with:

4% INW dark for pipe
2% TFA mild black
2% TFA absinthe

It's still a work in progress, but after a day steep it's not bad!

-Kingboomer
Whoa. 2% absinthe? You're a stronger man than me, that's for sure! I use about 3 drops per 30 ml (0.25% or so) and it nearly blows me away. I'm guessing that's the dominant flavor.

The percents would be a little high for me but that does look delish! :vapor:

Depending on your wife's taste buds, Hangsen Ry1 might be a better choice for her. It's a light straight ahead with nothing added type flavor. You'll have slightly lighter and smoother grass/hay notes than the Highway but still deeper and better than the Ry4D. Use a drop or two of AP, Peanut Butter, Toasted Almond or whatever you like for the nuttyness and Bob's your uncle.
For brown sugar, I really like TFA's Brown Sugar Extra.
I do like the RY1, not so much the other "RY's". I have some ready to come out of the aging closet, I'll try that. Although I love nut flavors in my tobacco, for some reason I can't stomach the Toasted Almond (tried CAP and TFA) - maybe I'll just try 0.5% or so.

The Arabic is mixed at 3.3 - 3.5%, I think 90% vg, 3% pg, 3% h20.. The larger bottle was with nic select nic at ~3.33%. The smaller one was with usaLN so it has an added taste from that particular nic and I think mixed it at 3.5 to give you a stronger one.... I find (. 2)ml shifts make a difference with it for me..

I find with a lot of Hangsens that it takes two tries to really taste the flavor.. Like your taste buds have to adjust for Hangsens natural flavors.. My comments on the Arabic my first try was that it tasted like captain Morgan's and I really didn't care for it... Then when I tried next time I tasted much more, and the rest is up in the clouds.

Overall for me Arabic has a curry or 7 spice note to it. I get great TH with it.

My taste buds must be permanently fried cause I don't get a rum note or curry/spice from Arabic. Is that after steeping or fresh? I'd love to get a curry-like kick from a flavoring. Would definitely make for an interesting vape.

Must be.. Lol... What % are you mixing it at? What do you taste from it?

When it's freshly mixed I liken it to an unripe fruit by calling it green... It takes about 1-2 weeks for it to wake up. It's best at a month. But I rarely make it that long.

Arabic is one that I've found if using the fresh flavoring from bcv, it will need to steep longer... When I use an aged rebottled flavoring from say RTS. The steep time is significantly reduced to reach prime. I'd say by half from 2-4weeks to about 1-2weeks. Depending in the age of flavoring from RTS.

I regularly mix 250s and start vaping it, but it gets better and better.

5%. I get molasses or something like it. I think your green comment is apt, though. I can "see" that in the flavor.

I have trouble letting my juices steep. I finished my test batch before it was a week old. I need to mix some more up on its own. Suggested %?

I mixed some Arabic with Pipe (HS) and I'm really liking the combo though the Arabic seems to be dominant. And I'm pretty sure I used a higher % of Pipe. I'll check when I get home. I also threw in a touch of Black Fire. It reminds me of a locally brewed coffee stout that uses cayenne pepper in it. Very tasty.

Wow only 3.5%, that's strong flavoring to have so much depth at such a small ratio.

I'm definitely ordering a bottle next time.

@jhhollier, you and I have roughly the same perception of the Arabic. I've never gotten a curry note but more like:

Dark tobacco with hints of molasses, caramel, leather, plum and honey; nice slight bitter after taste. About 3.5% is where I stop with it in a mix.

If you're ever ordering from ecigExpress, you should try their Red Demon (chocolate and coconut) tobacco; it mixes very well with the Arabic.

There are lot of interesting tobaccos at ecigexpress but the site seems very wonky. Is it just me?

Red Demon sounds fantastic and I'll have to order some. I was also wanting to try a lot of their Chinese tobaccos. They seem different and that's what I like when I vape: unique flavors.

Nope....it's wonky.....esp. the mobile version.

I've tried several of their Chinese tobaccos (reviews here somewhere?), a vast majority of them do have a stand out floral note. The one I can't live without is the Mile Seven; that one, by far, is an ADV favorite of mine. It has a nice maple note to the tobacco that is very aromatic and tastes great.

It's pretty standard for Hangsen. Rarely do I go higher. Potent stuff all around.

I don't generally mix single flavors, but Virginia and Red USA needs to be around 5% to taste similar to the premixed. I don't mix any other HS singly so I have to take your word on it.
