Inawera Am4A at 3 percent. Another complex pipe flavor with hints of chocolate, coffee, licorice and caramel. The surprise for me is the sweet/sour with the tobacco being like a non sweet dark tobacco but yet some sweetness from the caramel and licorice coming through at the same time

I do love the Am4A; just pulled this one off of the steep shelf today after a month of waiting. Can't say I'll change much about it; the FE Angelica adds a nice note of mystique to the mix. I've been trying to get ECX to add it back to their line up of flavors; they've had it discontinued for a while now. Looks like I'll have to go through an extract vendor in the future, if Angelica is to be in the mix. ;)

So I'm hitting hangsen highway right now at 7% I believe...been steeping almost a week. Not sure if I like it or not yet. But the flavors really mild in comparison to desert ship. Is that true in your experience guys? Milder flavor? Tastes weird to me...not bad, just not particularly good

Yes, milder for sure. Doesn't have that Desert Ship funk (don't get me wrong, I like the funk in its own way). Think of it as a 555, not as a part of the DS family.

I tend toward bolder tobaccos, but Highway is the unquestioned champ of the mild (for me). Think of it with morning coffee rather than with an evening nightcap.

I'd say exactly the same thing.

I gravitate towards tobaccos that give a satisfying kick below 5% in the mix.

Highway seems to be one that grows on you, I hated it at first but I sort of like it now.

I like Virginia, Red USA, Arabic, DS, RY1, 2 or 3 (can't remember which). I really don't like any of them standalone as an ADV, I only like single flavors in moderation. If it doesn't have NET mixed in I can't vape more than 5ml.

There are others I can't think of right now, but all of the ones I like have a bit of grass or hay note to them.

*edit*
Indian is particularly good, and I believe Congress is another I liked.

What are some other Hangsen that are more along the lines of the DS family, with a bolder kick? This is my third HS tobacco...Arabic is the other one I tried.

I really like HS tobaccos, particularly the Arabic. However, so far, that's about the only one I've found that is really a punchy tobacco below 5% in the mix. The Black Label Dijarum would be another tobacco (clove) which works well under 5%. Could be just me, but I feel like because HS tobacco essence flavors are more NET-ish in design and manufacture, higher percentages in the mix are par for the course.

Inawera tobaccos, though synthetic, have a nice kick below 5%, as do the SC concentrates from BCV.

Perhaps Turkish might be in your wheelhouse. They're related flavors. Turkish is less in-your-face, but has similar charactistics.

Thanks guys, the Turkish and Indian sound awesome especially. Will have to try them when funds allow me to (gonna be a bit, but I've got plenty of flavors right now to play with anyway). I love earthy...so Indian sounds reaaaally good.

Highway's really growing on me quickly. I like it a lot right now. Very nice and smooth and mild, really enjoying it.

DS is still my favorite by a lot...mixed with AP and EM I could probably vape it for eternity :)

You sound exactly like me. I've been hitting DS as an ADV for 2 years. I'm convinced that I will never grow tired of it.

I've been rotating ds, turkish, and Indian for the last 6 months. I have other stuff mixed but I rarely touch it.

I'm pretty certain you're the one I got the idea from to mix DS with AP and EM. THANK YOU!! It is SO amazing!!! So if you're into Turkish and Indian that solidifies it...ASAP, I'm ordering them.

I'm almost certain you will like them. They both have a distinct flavor and stand quite well on their own. I don't add anything to either of them.

My best friend vapes my DS exclusively. Has no interest in anything else. Lol. I refuse his offers to pay me for it so he just buys me a random tank, mod, and 12 pack every now and then.

I like highway mixed with 1% HS vanilla and a touch of ap/em quite a bit. It's the only "desertish" vape I like. Nothing close to the sweetness of premix deserts or vanilla tobaccos. Just a smooth undertone of vanilla/sweet but still a true HS tobacco flavor.

I received a bottle of Inawera Dark for Pipe which appears to be rebottled. It has no expiration date or batch number like my other orders. The label is also different. Doesn't look like the original. Is this what everyone else has received?

View attachment 552691
Yes, I've gotten some with exactly that label, and I do think it was from Bull City, right? If it was, I wouldn't fear anything because Bull City has always been a great vendor for me, and re-bottling is pretty common with most of the larger vendors here in the USA. RTS Vapes has been hit or miss for me when it comes to re-bottling.

You can always use www.e-aromashop.com out of Poland to get the original stuff in original bottles. Their prices are fantastic and shipping is pretty reasonable (I paid $14 for expedited DHL and received my order in two days, regular shipping was about $8 or so).

Oh man I'm back on the dark for pipe big time. Decided to try it again but at 2% instead of 3 and at 50%PG instead of maxvg. To me, a world of difference. Way less gunking and much better flavor. The bottle I mixed won't see a full 24 hours steep...

Now my mind is running wild with possibilities. Even though it's perfect in its own. I just mixed a bottle with 2% glamour chocolate mixed in, letting that steep a bit. Anyone tried mixing Garuda or Virginia TA with it?

You guys sound a lot like me with the Indiain, highway, DS and No.5. I love the nutty earthy tobaccos complemented with a little AP and a touch of EM or sweetener. I also like to complement those with a touch of chocolate. I always seem to gravitate back to the No.5.

Always done 3.33. Maybe I'll have to try at 2 as well....
