Hey guys! First off, what an awesome thread! Im a tobacco lover about to get into DIY, beeen lurking in this thread for the past week or so to figure out what flavors to order. I already have a gallon of unflavored 24 mg 50/50 ready to go, just need flavors and vg to cut it down to 18mg. Anyways, i made an order from BCV last night, lookin forward to posting reviews :)

And I'm looking forward to reading them. Start with Hangsen tobaccos.

I ordered the fruits along w the tobacco in hopes to create something like TPR burley and candy, or Ahlusion apple wildwood, two of my faves. I also like cigar flavored vapes. Not into the ashy thing, and i dont like a lot of grassiness either. Tried devil dog and bluegrass burley, 2 net's that ahlusion no longer makes, and found them both to be gross. They had that ashiness and grassiness. I let em steep for a yr and then mixed em w/ some gwar bloodbath and spew from mt baker.. Both fruit flavors were also unvapeable. I likened the flavors in the tobacco to the smell of horsepee in old hay. Yet when i mixed the unvapeable fruity ones in 50/50 ratio w unvapeable NET's, i had a mediocre vapeable juice lol. Need to do that w all these fruity zamplebox flavors they keep sendin me. Pipe tobacco and fruit seems to be a winner for me, or mild cig tobacco and fruit.
I have a scale, UC, some empty bottles i saved from all the liquid i have consumed in 3.5 yrs, a gallon of 50/50 24 mg that i plan to cut down to 18 or less. Just need VG and for my flavors to get here lol. Processing tiem at BCV was uber fast!
As far as devices, i use a pair of reos w vicious ant cyclone atty. The cyclone has better flavor thsn anything else and will fit a stock reo or a low pro one. Since cyclones arent available now, i ordered 4 smoktech squid attys to mod for bottom feeding. Also couldnt pass on a 9.99 ehpro valkyrie clone in black from madvapes. Reos kinda suck for taste testing, something i will be doing a lot. Im an IT guy by trade, so attn to detail and meticulous notetakin are a way of life for me lol. I plan to organize all my data electronically and share it on here in hopes to do my oart and contribute to the collective :)

Mmmmm...... HS Arabic......tasty!
I'll make that tomorrow's mix. :)

I have some Red USA at 7% speed steeping in warm water as we speak.

Heck I might go finally try this Arabic tonight!

I think Arabic will hit your range Stanley, based on what you've liked so far.

Cool - I've got it (Arabic), RY1, and Red USA all mixed up.

Probably load one of them tonight. Most likely Red USA since it had a warm water steep already.

Only problem is this coil still has remnants of the 2% DS Inawara... Already have a tank of Highway through it, but can still taste the Desert Ship! Haha. Which isn't the worst thing in the world.... But this coil has a lot of life left so no reason to swap!

I mixed my FA Desert Ship and my FA Seven Leaves Ultimate at 2%. The Seven Leaves was vapable on day 2 and probably would be good the same day. Desert Ship needs a while to steep, as most have said.

I'm looking for a flavor that will add a certain nuance. I've vaped juices that had a sense of "smelling an open pack of unlit cigarettes" on the exhale. It's a really nice hint of fresh tobacco aroma and I've had that in commercial juices at times. Anyone know what flavoring adds that effect?

I have five more assorted flavorings coming from MFS that I ordered yesterday. I'm satisfied that my new DIY hobby is going to be a keeper. Mixing by weight is way too easy to go back to store bought juice. So far, my results are encouraging.

@stanleybb50 maybe try some unflavored through it to wash the wick a bit? I keep some 0mg unflavored in a dripper bottle at my mixing station to use in between flavors when testing new/steeping mixes.
Absolutely. I did this last time to get rid of the 6% DS I had mixed through there.. Haha. Still took awhile! I should do that this time too.

I'll have to try the Seven Leaves.

I honestly still get that feeling from Highway by itself at greater than 5%. Sort of reminds me of a Black Note tobacco flavor.

But remember, I'm new to DIY, so take my words with a grain of salt. :)

The only fruits that work with tobaccos for me are blueberry and raspberry. Nothing else seems to work; I have tried peach, plum and cherry without much luck.

Seven leaves tobacco has somewhat of a fruity profile by itself, but I am surprised some of you guys can vape it the next day. I mix it at 2%, and have to wait a minimum of 4 weeks before it matures. Seed steeping cuts it down considerably.

The smell of a fresh pack of cigarettes used to remind me of carob like in Sixlets candies. Maybe try a bit of milk chocolate at a low percentage?

As much as I love sixlets it's not what I remembered. I have detected it in certain juices, but I'm not sure which ones. It did remind me of that particular aroma of a freshly opened cig pack and it was on the exhale that I sensed it.

Milk chocolate and something else together might approximate it. I'll just have to find the something else. You might be onto something.

I ordered four Hangsen concentrates today. Maybe one of those will be what I remember. It's not Hangsen Tobacco since I've vaped that exclusively for a long time. It might be HS Desert Ship or Red USA mix. I used to order a bottle of each when I was trying to decide which I liked best.

I use a mixture of Shade and Dark Vapure together, both FA, and it reminds me of the smell of a fresh pack of smokes. I'm pretty sure it's the shade that produces that fresh pack of smokes flavor. Another one to look at is Eastern Tobacco from HS. To me, it resembles a little of what I remember camels used to taste like.

What percentages do you use? Really liking Shade, but haven't yet found a use for Dark Vapure.

Maybe a bit of Tobacco Absolute? I just added some Garuda to my Red USA and it definitely improved it.

I'm realizing that aa much as I'm liking the Hangsens, they're quite light in flavor.. Even at like 7%. (That's not a bad thing... The flavor is so clean and nice and seems great for mixing with other flavors.

It's also worth noting that I'm on week 3 with the same Aspire BVC coil... Lol. Used to get a week out of one of these suckers.

I would guess that in my Hurricane, Calix, Russian, KFL, KF5, or Kayfun mini v3, I could probably go like a month without changing wicks! Lol. Crazy...!
