Just tried my sample batch of HS Magic Mix. Good stuff. Tastes exactly like an unlit marlboro. Def a fresh tobacco taste w a bit of moleasses on the exhale also. Cant wait to make more so i can experiment w adding AP and some TA to see what its like.
All flavors smell great. The only one that smells a bit questionable so far is the black for pipe, it has that campfire thing goin on a little. I think its like a DNB thing, from what yall described DNB sounds like what i dont like in ahlusion devil dog. None so far have smelled too grassy either

hangsens have a 50ml drip

Hehe..... I had to figure this out myself last night to help a vape buddy that doesn't have a scale and uses drops for measuring flavors. It had been so long since I used drops that I could not remember how many Hangsen drops (or any others for that matter) hit the 1% mark. I love my scale! ;)

I just mixed up a batch of juice for my wife this morn and did a drip measurement:
-10ml HS highway with the small drip was 56 drops per gram.
-50ml HS Desert Ship drip was 34 drops per gram.
so if your using the 20 or 25 drop per ml the ejuicemeup calc's default then you're are going to be way off on the measure.

I've concluded that Highway and Hangsen Desert Ship are my two favorites out of all of the juices I've gotten. :)

Gonna stock up the most on them. Might have to get a lot in glass and put in the freezer... Stupid PA tax and impending FDA Regs.

I better still be able to get Hangsen and other Tobacco concentrates off the black market in a couple years! :) ("Did I say that out loud....?")

My guess is that they won't be that hard to acquire, assuming the company itself survives. I also have a feeling we'll see an increase in online vendors for "candle scenting."

Great point on the candle scenting and/or purfume/Cologne scents.

I want to thank you all in this thread again for the assistance in getting me started!

I'm a Canadian who lives close to the Idaho border so I have a US shipping address I use then go pick up my goodies, thats how I was able to percipient in the co-ops in here. I tell the border guards that the PG,VG and flavorings are all for soap making and lotion. My wife also has a jar of homemade lotion in a jam jar we bring incase they give us the WUT??? look. We actually use homemade soap and lotion, its locally made intown. We haven't bought commercial soap or lotion in years. I have a bad time with itching from the ingredients in storebought soaps. This homemade soap and Ivory are the only soaps I can use without becoming itchy.
The nicotine I source in Canada so I don't have anxiety going through the border.

I love the way every ones lov'in the hangsens. Just for kicks I took a little of my old standard "hangsen No5" mix and added a little chocolate mint to it. Now I'm not a vaper that really likes that menthol coolness in a vape but this added a nice chocolate peppermint twist. WOW what a great change up vape, I have not been able to put this one down.
Now for those of you that know me. You know I like to add chocolate to my tobaccos. This just adds more to my chocolate/tobacco experience with just the right amount of sweet peppermint throat coolness.

flavor is indescribable but excellent!

To me, the Arabic is a some what dark tobacco flavor with hints of molasses, caramel, leather, plum and honey; nice slight bitter after taste; it goes great with whiskey, rum, brandy or beer.

Above is just one of my fav Arabic mixes. ;)

If you like the FA desert ship I'll send you a free 30ml bottle that I ordered by mistake last year. You should definitely give Hangsen a try. Especially for starting out. It's stupid easy. All of the popular ones are excellent standalone. Flavor % is a no brainer. 3-6%. I mix them all around 3-5% nowadays. I used to go 6-7% but realized less is more. Hangsen Desert Ship has been my #1 vape for nearly 3 years. I'll never get tired of it.

The thing I like about HS is they distill real tobacco leaves vs engineering "tobacco flavor" from 100% artificial ingredients. Not the same as a NET but much closer to a NET than synthetic flavor. Their production and R&D facility is one of the best (probably THE best) in the world for tobacco concentrates.

Bull City has original packaging HS. RTS has rebottled HS. I've ordered from both multiple times with no issues.

I ordered 30ml each of Hangsen Desert Ship, Tobacco, and Highway flavorings from Vaping Zone in SC a few days ago and it arrived Saturday. I'm hoping that HS Desert Ship will be better than FA. The FA is going to need some additional flavoring added to get rid of the funky flavor I created by using only 2% FA DS and nothing else!

Time and experimentation will tell. I've got enough new flavors to boost it into something better.

I'd rather use a flavor that doesn't have that funk to begin with. That way I won't have to use another ingredient to mask it. Curious to know what you think of DS once it arrives.

Danny,

What are your preferred chocolate flavorings you add to tobaccos?

I mixed up some Highway and Desert Ship 5% with 1% EM, 70/30 12 mg nic and am letting them steep for a week or so. I noticed folks using drops when mixing Hangsen here. Is there a reason to do that rather than pop off the plastic drip tip on the bottle and use a 1 ml syringe for measurement? I personally wouldn't trust the ability of the dripper to maintain consistency, or myself for maintaining an accurate count. I do the same with all my other flavorings for mixing. Am I missing something important, or is it just a matter of whatever you choose?

I assume it is them just being stuck in their ways. I too would be afraid of losing count. I use the dripper tips if the flavors have them but mix by weight. Most of the included flavor drip tips I have come out to .02g per drop. The pipettes I use for flavors with no drip tips usually come out to .03g per drop. I mixed my first recipe by volume, or tried.... after that everything I mixed has been by weight. So much easier and faster cleanup.

Get a scale like this one and just go by weight. :)

American Weigh Scales LB-501 Digital Kitchen Scale https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005UGBG20/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_r9zZxb4BWQA0X

And use an app like this E-Juice Lab - Android Apps on Google Play

On another note - what is the "1% EM" you mentioned?

Yup, that's it. I've seen a lot about mixing by weight, and I can see that being useful, especially for larger batches. For now as I experiment with DIY and generally stick to only 30 or at most 60 ml at a time, volume remains quite convenient. Down the road a scale may very well come in handy.

It could probably be argued it is more important for small batches. My 20ml test batches at 2mg call for 0.4ml of nic and similar portions of a ml for some of my concentrated flavors. I can't get that accurate with a syringe/pipette but have no issues weighing out 0.454g of 50/50 nic.

Exactly. I mix 3ml single flavor test batches and 5ml full recipe test batches all the time. Mixing by weight/scale, for me, is an absolute must. ;)
