I got my hands on some of the FA blended tobacco flavours (think they are only awailable from FA UK), that I am going to try out.

I already created a 3% mix of FA Sneaky Drag, and the smell from the mix was 100% like a rolling/pipe tobacco that my grandfather used to smoke in he's pipe!

Here is a link to the tobacco he smoked: Bruktbutikker antikkbutikker gamle reklameskilt Skrotnissen.no - Petterøes Blanding 3
It has a "spicy" taste to it, like clove/Carum carvi (caraway) mix, and a nice punch to the throat.
Some like this at up to 10% flavourings, but that's way to much for my tastes and likes.

A very interresting tobacco flavour, that smells Heavenly! It has no/litle ashy'ness, but can easily be fixed With some TA or Inw. DNB.

I can see this one beeing mixed With a large varity of HS or Inv flavours, to make some Nice tobacco mixes.

Oh by the way, I spoked to chef's flavours (https://www.chefsflavours.co.uk/) that has some of the blended FA tobaccos allready in Stock, and they will add some more soon.

I just smelled the bottle of another FA blended tobacco LicRiz, and if it tastes half as good as it smells........ Oh boy I'm in for a treat :)

I'll post my review of LicRiz and others as I slowly move forward in my hughe arsenal of untested flavours :)

The second page of DIY e-liquid is no place for this thread. Here's a bump with a RY-4 recipe I mixed over the weekend:

7% RY-4 Double (TFA)
1.5% Virginia (INA)
1 drop per 10mL Acetyl Pyrazine 10% (TFA)

I've experimented with various tobaccos to fill in what I believe is lacking in TFA's RY-4 Double. I think I've finally found the one that works for me. Inawera's Virginia adds an earthy tobacco funk that counters the rich sweetness of the RY-4.
Yep, I do that. INW VTA matches well with ry4d.

Hi all.

Just mixed up 7 inawera flavors, and will give my short review of the ones I have tested.
( I mix all untested inawera flavors in a 50/50 mix without TA or any of the bazas from Inawera. The ones that are not so good with a simple 50/50 mix, get's passed to the "secondary" box, for longer steeping and/or for adding the recommended bazas and TA's)..

Here we go:

Inv Black Jack Tobacco (3%)
I had high hopes for this one, being a liquorice tobacco. But, this one was a tad "odd"
my tasting notes on this one:
Tested after 10 days. Was litle liquirice taste. Was a bit "funky" will let it steep some more, or retry at lower % and with DNB baza. Classified as a cig type in my tasting notes. I expected more of a "salty liquorice tobacco", I might add more liquorice in the second test.
Moved to secondary box!

Inv Flue Cured tobacco (3%)
my tasting notes on this one:
Tested after 10 days.
Mild and gentle tobacco. Wery gentle taste of coffe. Probably good as a mixer. Will retry with DNB baza. Classified as a cig type in my tasting notes.
Might add more coffee in the second test.
Moved to secondary box!

Inv Tobacco Smoke & Prunes (3%)
I had high hopes for this one, and this one did not fail me!! Luckily I ordered 2 of this flavor by mistake :)
my tasting notes on this one:
Tested after 10 days.
I did not taste so much the dried plum, but the prunes was easy to detect. I also tasted a tiny hint of coffee and cocoa in the background...
Classified as a cig type in my tasting notes.
This is a winner, and I can see this one being used as a really nice background (or even forground) flavor.
I think this one can be mixed with everything from fruits to other tobaccos, It's so good already that I'm reluctant to add TA's or VPG baza to this one!
Moved to primary box!

More to come.... still have 4 more to test before my next mixing batch.

Thank you for the report. I've had Smoke and prunes in my stock for the past two years. I never found the time to crack that bottle open and give it a try. Guess I should let no more time waste:)

As for the black jack tobacco. My results were just about on par with yours. I did not see much improvement over time. I was expecting something along the lines of a "black jack chewing gum" type tobacco taste and this was not it.

Thank you for the feedback Danny!

Last review for tonight:

Inv Gold Ducat(3%)
I had high hopes for this one, and this one did not fail me!!
my tasting notes on this one:
Tested after 10 days.
I did not taste so much the mentioned "Maggie" in this one, but l tasted a tiny hint of vanilla (almost creamy) and light hint of sweet caramel.
Classified as a light smooth pipe tobacco in my tasting notes.
As a person who doesn't like caramel in tobaccos, this was actually very well done!
This is a winner, and I can see this one being used as a really nice background (or even foreground) flavor.
I think this one can be mixed very well with other tobaccos (especially other mild pipe tobaccos), and probably dark rum or a lighter brandy.
It's so good already that I'm reluctant to add TA's or universal baza to this one!
Moved to primary box!

That prunes flavor sounds interesting. I don't go for fruity tobacco, but that sounds just earthy enough to pique my interest. Thanks for the reviews.

Ok, time for another Inv. flavor review....

Inv Pear Tobacco(3%)
I had no prior expectations for this one, except pear sounded good with tobacco.
my tasting notes on this one:
Tested after 10 days.
This tasted like smooth sweet pear, with almost like a creaminess to the exhale! The tobacco was in the background, allowing the pear flavor to be up front. This one was silky smooth!
Classified as a light cigarette tobacco in my tasting notes, with a tiny tiny hint of ash in the back throat.
This was actually very well done, but I think I could go up to 4 or maybe 4,5% with this one, to get more punch to the flavor (or a tad of EM and DW).
This is a winner, and I can see this one being used as a really nice background (or even foreground) flavor.
I think this one can be mixed very well with other tobaccos, but will easily be overpowered by other stronger tobaccos. Other fruits could do well with this one (especially Dragon Fruit/Pitaya or a sweeter apple flavor).
It's really good already, but some extra tobacco (mild tobaccos) and a tiny bit DNB will not hurt this one.
Moved to primary box!

I would not recommend EM it will bring out sweetness but in the process may mute the back gound tobacco notes. If you want to sweeten it up or add a little punch or thickness use regular sweetener (to sweeten) or marshmallow (to give thickness or fullness) at no more then 1%.

Hi Danny, you are right on the money!

I was thinking of MM but wrote EM.... slaps my hand!
A tiny bit of FA mad fruit or Inw. pitaya will also make fruits "pop" with nothing more added (no MM or DW).

It's a good thing you are keeping a watch over us, and smak us with you're visdom, and keep us wild and roaring youngsters in order :)

:)

ok, another small review:

Inv Don Hill(3%)
I had no prior expectations for this one.
my tasting notes on this one:
Tested after 10 days.
This tasted like a medium pipe/light cigarette tobacco, with silky smooth vanilla and a very mild and gentle caramel back tone. I think I tasted a tiny tiny bit of lemon/citrus way back on the exhale. If there is a ceder note to this one, it's very gentle and buried in the mix. The cedar note might come more to the front with a stronger % mix. The overall taste was a very smooth and a mild blend at 3%.
Classified as a light cigarette tobacco/medium pipe tobacco in my tasting notes, with no hint of ash.
This was actually very well done, and I think I like it here at 3%. If I want a stronger cedar note, I can always add that in a later batch.
This is a winner, and I can see this one being used as a really nice background (or even foreground) flavor.
I think this one can be mixed very well with other tobaccos, but will easily be overpowered by other stronger tobaccos.

Has anyone tried SC Seven (not Seven Stars) yet? I have some coming from BC.
Been vaping it for about a month or two now. Did not like it fresh at first but it grew on me. To me, it's a bright cigarette style vape with a little of the smokiness I like from the SC tobacco line. I switch from a tank of Old Captain (SC) to a tank of Mild 7 (SC). Both mixed at 3%. I do this so I don't tire of either.
