I've been been playing around with flavor enhancers lately and getting more or less favorable results. Acetyl Pyrazine at a half percent or less really makes a difference in an otherwise bland tobacco flavor, IMO. It also creates considerably more vapor with a nutty flavored thick consistency that makes the vapor swirl and hang in the air with thin tendrils like real cigarette smoke.

Tobacco Absolute in a 10% solution from MFS is especially potent. I added two drops to a 50ml bottle of HS Blended Tobacco and it produced a nice smoky base note in the juice's flavor. Any more than that might be too much!

I've steered away from Ethyl Maltol after reading some of the reviews, but I might try it in small additions to add some of the sweetness that the above two take away.

Been vaping it for about a month or two now. Did not like it fresh at first but it grew on me. To me, it's a bright cigarette style vape with a little of the smokiness I like from the SC tobacco line. I switch from a tank of Old Captain (SC) to a tank of Mild 7 (SC). Both mixed at 3%. I do this so I don't tire of either.
That sounds encouraging. I figured it was trying for an oriental cig type when I decided to try it. :vapor:

I'm in the same camp as Danny on EM. I'd rather use TFA Sweetener. I sometimes sub TFA Brown Sugar Extra depending on the recipe.

This was actually very well done, and I think I like it here at 3%. If I want a stronger cedar note, I can always add that in a later batch. .........
What do you use for cedar?
Also, Inawera Blend has a hint of cedar at the end of exhale and aftertaste. This is from the company description of it. "Burley and virginia tobacco, a bit of of cuban cigar and old cedar pipe. Second row is specially for vanilla note and RED fruits: hint of cherry with a smell of roots."

I haven't found a cedar flavor per se (what is available contains carcinogenic, if you extract it your self) so if you want something "cedar like" that is on the "safe side" ,you can add 1 drop FA Oak wood and 1 drop FA Zen Garden in 10 ml juice.
It's not a 100% cedar taste/flavor, but the closest I have found, that adds the woodsy ceder'ish taste/flavor.
Another option is to blend in some flavors that already have a cedar note in it.

Hopefully there will be a better alternative on the market soon.

Thanks for the link-good info. Yeal, I use the heck out of FA Oak Wood. It's the primary reason for my last BC order. I was low on a couple of other things, but out of Oak Wood. FA Zen Garden sounds interesting. I may give that a try one of these days. :vapor:

Glad I could be of some help JD1 :)

Now onto the last one of the 7 INW flavor tests:

Inv Nutty Princess(3%)
I had no prior expectations for this one.
my tasting notes on this one:
Tested after 10 days.
This tasted like a light cigarette tobacco, with silky smooth light vanilla and a very mild and gentle overall taste. I have a hard time describing this one, as to what I actually taste! I vaped it for several days, and can't for the name of it, pick it a part! It is supposed to have a peanut waffle taste, and a peanut cookie taste, but I can't single out either the waffle or the peanut taste.....
Classified as a light cigarette tobacco in my tasting notes, with a tiny hint of ash.
This was actually very well done and the blend "melts" so good together it's really hard to pick the single flavor profiles apart. I think I like it here at 3%.
This is a winner (but I can't describe actually why.. but it tastes really good), and I can see this one being used as a really nice background flavor. I'm not so sure it will do as good as a foreground flavor, maybe at a stronger %.
I think this one can be mixed very well with other tobaccos, but will easily be overpowered by other stronger tobaccos. Other sweet fruits might also blend nicely in with this one.
It's really good already, but some extra waffle and peanut note/flavor, and a tiny bit more DNB, will not hurt this one.
Moved to primary box!

My BC order came in yesterday, and of course the first thing was mixing up 10ml of the Mild Seven at 3 percent, shake well and vape. A bright cigarette style is the perfect description of this. Very unique. I'll get a lot of mileage out of this. I can't wait to try it with some Rustica.

Edit to add: It was just called Seven on the page were I ordered it, but the bottle is labeled Mild Seven.

I'll have to revisit it. Did you do 3 percent?

Ordered some flavorah on the Bull City sale. Kentucky Blend, Connecticut Shade, Native Tobacco. Scattered reviews I could find seemed promising.
Yes, 3 percent. I'll edit my post.

I've never tried them my self because they seem a little pricey to me, but I have seen a couple of good reviews on the Kentucky Blend. I'm looking forward to your reviews.

Edit to add: Does anyone know the story on these (Flavorah) flavors? Are they artificial or extracts, etc.? Nevermind, I just read this on their site. "Flavorah is not made or derived from tobacco, it does not contain nicotine, ......"

Yeah they're pricey, but 30 percent off was enough for me to give them a spin.

Mixed up a 30ml of Flavorah Kentucky Blend today at 3.33%. The stuff is just a few hours old, but I'm already calling this a winner. I haven't really been able to sit down and try to dissect what I'm tasting, so I won't go too deep into it. But in general, it's a bright, smooth tobacco. No harsh notes at all, with a nice whisper of funk (in a good way) that hangs in the background. It's got some smokiness to it, and perhaps a bit of nuttiness. Best of all, it doesn't remind me of any other tobacco flavor that I've tried. For me, variety is important, and this is something that I haven't tasted before, and it's good. Can't wait to see how it develops, but I'm giving it an instant seal of approval.

Connecticut Shade and Native Tobacco still waiting to be mixed. Hope that they live up to the standard set with this one.

I did a search on Mild Seven the cigarette and some folks think it's similar to a Marl type. I don't get that from the SC Mild Seven but well, maybe a little.

Also, according to some reviews, SC Real Cig is supposed to be a Marl type as well, and I'd tend to agree with this more, although still not dead on imho.

Anyways, I tried mixing them together. I wish I could tell you "instant Marl Red", but of course everyone knows you can't duplicate a burning ciggy. Anyways, this is quite good and if you already have the flavors I recommend giving this a try.

SC Real Cig 2%
SC Mild Seven 2%
FA Oak Wood 1 Drop per 8ml

Steep at least a couple of days.

Anyone else have a Marl Red Recipe they'll share?

Tempting but with loads of diy nets on hand, it's hard to justify buying any. So cheap to make myself...
The odds are they're not discussed here is because we generally leave net talk to the net threads. The unofficial focus here is synthetics, even though I think most of us here do both.
Sent from my SM-T320 using Tapatalk
I think what confused me about this thread is that it does seem to be for synthetic tobaccos, however it includes WTAs, TAs, and then I see a lot of people talking about dekang and Hangsen tobaccos, which at least some, if not many, of these tobacco "flavors" are actually natural tobacco extracts and/or WTAs of some type, perhaps with other added flavors. Hangsen Arabic for example is described as "Naturally extracted Arabic tobacco":
Arabic Tobacco-HS
And I've tried at least four of dekang tobaccos, and without a doubt the ones I tried had some tobacco extraction (I can tell a NET or WTA when I vape it compared to a synthetic quite easily), though I didn't like them, some had a "smokey" flavor added. The Tab I tried is described here at Goodejuice as "Naturally extracted from best-quality tobacco leaves":
Dekang DK-Tab PG eLiquid 10mL
When I first started vaping over two years ago, I tried a lot of synthetic tobaccos, but once I found NETs I stoped trying them, the real thing is best for me. Now I order concentrated NET extracts from either Naturally Extracted Tobacco or Real Tobacco Extracts (3X, which I just got today) since I diy with my own nicotine base (nic salts these days) and preferred high PG ratio.
I can understand if some would prefer not to vape NETs and maybe there are some great synthetics out there, but just want to point out that this thread is mixing synthetics and NETs in the same discussion, which is fine by me, but some may be unaware that some of their tobacco "flavors" like dekang and at least some Hangsen are really tobacco extracts or WTAs or TAs). How can you tell? they taste more like REAL tobacco, and if they have a smooth pure tobacco taste, no nasty aftertaste, yep, that's a NET, haha :D
