I read a bunch of them the other day. I was very curious to see what the tobacco companies and health organizations had to say in theirs
They're now up to a whole 72 comments posted. My comment went in on 3 January, here we are at 3 April, they haven't gotten as far as mine yet.

No result, it was a hearing on various nicotine replacement therapies, multiple speakers and quite a few comments after the hearing.
I put copies of the hearing videos at http://markfm.dynalias.org/transfer/fda.htm
Select a link, do a Save As to download to your own computer, then play the local file (my internet is too slow to do video streaming, the files will take a decent chunk of time to download). I got the files from the FDA site somewhere, they were a format that not everyone could play, so I converted then to a pretty standard form.

Not a clue. The FDA was to present a plan this week, but has already missed the "deadline date", although there is no "penalty" for doing so.
It could be because a new FDA director was appointed recently, who may be reviewing all the "data" and proposed plan to see if he is agreeable to it as it stands or will make some changes of his own. There is no timetable. It could be this year some time, or never.
I am considering jumping into the ecig biz but don't want to before their plan is heard. Other than wanting to know for that reason alone, they can take all the time they want since most vaping enthusiasts probably will not like/agree with what they have to say anyways.

New director or not, I think the sheer number of comments submitted (as well as the various petitions submitted in the same time frame) warrant some kind of public official response at least acknowledging that our community exists and that our concerns will be noted, even if it is no more of a statement than that . . .

I joined when I first started vaping and then lost my info when I went back to ciggies. I e-mailed to try and get my account fixed but have not heard anything back yet. Oh well I will keep trying its worth it. I do still e-mail on calls to action and eventually I will not have to stay late at work and will attend a webinar. I guess what matters most is still working towards seeing rules and regulations on e-cigs to be based off of science and not fears, and getting the truth out there.
Should we be concerned that the FDA only reviewed 78 of the 5366 comments received before issuing their report on Section 918? If they reviewed more, then why are they not posted in the docket folder?

Wasn't the conference supposed to be about long-term use of NRT products?
Maybe they considered the remaining comments to be not relevant to the topic at hand.
That's all I got.
I guess they just got bored with reading comments, stopped doing so. Gotta love how da gubbmint listens to the people
