I'm Italian and I'm very sad,
in Europe, governments seek to eliminate nicotine from eliquids...
I have the impression that the only real important thing for those who legislate,
is to make sure that people continue to consume traditional cigarettes, for many reasons...
but all economic reasons :2c:
not so much in favor of "tobacco companies", but especially for the "Big Pharma", that also fund anti-(traditional)-smoking campaigns...
and enriched with anti-cancer treatment...
in particular in Italy, the ISS (our Institute of Health) drew up a report of 20 pages for our minister of health,
where basically says that the esig, should be banned, just because it is easy to buy for minors on the Internet,
here, in this period is talking a lot on television about the esig, and There's so much misinformation...
I hope that the esig improve our society... but seeing what's going on, I'm very sad :(

Really?

Hmmm I would have never guessed that. I was under the impression that it is much harder for big business to get things their way in the EU, just because there are a lot more palms to grease. I had thought that is why the fuel you have (especially diesel) is so much cleaner than the stuff we have in the states, simply because the oil companies would have to grease too many palms to make it worth their while. I guess there is more money in big pharma, so that isn't an issue.

I am going to say this about big pharma. I would be the number 1 free market supporter, with one major exception; Big Pharma, the only industry in the, that I know of, world that makes massive profits from fixing you and breaking you at the same time in the vicious counteracting side effects cycle. They make more money that way. Probably the only industry on the planet that should be heavily regulated. But I digress I have gone way off topic.

Great idea and a wonderful opportunity to assure our rights for the future. I am getting on it right away, and encourage others to do the same. Don't put it off "til later", you may forget and this is too important.
( I was 16 during the war so you could vote ... I died ... and you never voted ... love ... I voted with ... my Life)
I am American. I almost voted ... if I wasn't so lazy ... I am American ... I love Congress and the Senate and the House and THEY KNOW what is best for ME !!! I am American because my bank account really reads (Optionally, Red) China.

I wonder if they're actually going to post the public comments, given they're only listing 22 out of 5365 as of now.
I think the 22 comments are from before they changed the docket number?

Supposedly it can take up to two weeks for comments to be posted, so there is still some time left.
And given the most likely unexpected onslaught of comments, it might take even longer than usual for them.

They probably have some mostly blind old lady in a back room on a green screen computer reading them if at all.
Ah, we've got a green screen hater!
Love you guys.

I work 9 to 5 but you green screen haters have to work round the clock.

I'm glad I work the green screens.
It certainly is better than never knowing why things are all effed up.

My green screen world is never all effed up, so I never actually have to deal with that.
It must suck.

Oh, my non-green screen bat phone is ringing at 2am!

Hey, it's all effed up because of Microsoft!
No, it the Cisco routers!
No, it the third party software!

Two weeks later, it is discovered to be an incorrect setting on the network.

FDA recieves 5,366 comments. Only 23 for public view

by Mike Mueller

The FDA solicited two dockets requesting public comments on their proposed "deeming regulations" that would affect e-cigarettes. According to their website they received 5,366 comments from interested members of the public. Of these 5,366 comments, the FDA is only displaying 23 on their site at Regulations.gov .

The fact that so many people took the time to let their views be known is heartening, However, the FDA's refusal or inability to display these responses to all of these interested parties is one more example of why people that could be affected by the deeming regulations might be better off working with their elected officials and not a closed bureaucracy.

I have no doubt that CASAA is investigating why our comments are not appearing.
This could get really interesting.
