If it's a ban on imports, it will affect them by driving up their sales even though their product is sub-par.

Walrus, I may be wrong, but the FDA does not make "law". Depending on the language the FDA uses, it may or may not effect JC or anyone else for that matter. If they Ban all nicotine that is in PG or VG, then JC has to quit selling. On the other hand if they say something about making health claims, it won't effect very many companies. Just like if you make your own soap to sell, don't make any health claims with it, or you will get them on your back without proper labeling. To a certain extent I think this will be an all or nothing deal, doesn't matter if it's made in USA or China, nic juice for inhalation will either be or they will try their best to stop us. I will be one of the few sitting at the FDA doorstep chanting "hell no we won't go" for as long as my now sweet smelling breath will let me.

I think you misread my post, or are confusing me with someone else. I meant that if there is a ban on imports that JC's sales will probably go up since they are domestic and don't have to worry about customs. I didn't comment at all on the legality or heath aspects of FDA action.

my guess is that if JC shows up on the FDA's radar they will get a notice to stop and possible a large fine, if JC continues then the police or FBI since is is a federal thing will shut him down and possible arrest him for illegal drug distribution.

However I hope they don't, as I hope that smoke everywhere wins there case against the FDA.

The key here is that the FDA would have to have control over nicotine in order to enforce any rules they have made regarding any product which includes it. When JC registered with the FDA (which puts JC on their radar), they would have presented a list of ingredients and nicotine would have been on that list.

There will be no FBI raids until an act of Congress (the Waxman Bill or the Kennedy Bill) are signed into law by the President. As soon as one of those bills gives the FDA control over nicotine, that's when JC will/or will not be asked to comply or shut down.

they do have some control over nicotine, nicorettes and the patch and others all had to be approved by the FDA before they were allowed to sell and then it was still only by prescription for several years.

I do see your point, but regardless of how I feel about it the FDA does have "some" very valid points and do have some controll over nicotine fluids. however they have no power over the e-cigs themselves. The e-cigs are personal vaporizers much like standard vaporizers, or water pipes, or....

Jane at ECSI makes her own juice too. I believe she makes 36mg. I know I love it. Tastes just like crap - like a real Cigar (the Number 5 she makes). Closest to tobacco in my opinion although you may know of something else.

There are some valid points to controlling nicotine... but nicotine is no worse than caffeine IMHO.

However, the FDA has control over the NRT's because they wish to make specific claims ie: Quit Smoking with the insert gum, Chantix, Puffer, Patch here.

If this subject interests you... might I suggest the following reading:

Homeopathy: FDA Compliance Policy Guide
Regulation of Homeopathic Drug Products
Homeopathic Educational Services - The Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia and the Assurance of Quality

Between these three links they explain quite a bit regarding how homeopathic drugs differ from mainline pharmaceuticals and also how they are marketed differently than their Big Pharm counterparts. Quite interesting.

Ex High is 24mg. I don't think she makes it, just puts her label on it. Her site says they come factory sealed from the same place as her equipment. So China, like all the others. If you peel one of her labels off, there is often a generic label underneath which I'm guessing is how it comes from the manufacturer.
