Thing is, there's an ABOVE ground market right now and no serious signs that it's going to end any time soon. Until the FDA starts ordering raids on retailers, there's no reason to panic. Even then, many retailers will just move off shore and will continue to do business. Where there's demand, there will be a way to satisfy it. People need to calm down.

I dig the new avatar, Surf Monkey!

If an electronic cigarette supply ban is enacted in the US, I will be moving off shores no question about it.

Nice video. I agree....there is no real need to panic.

But c'mon man....the "Barak Osama Bin Laden" part was lame. Totally lame.

And fyi, even though I thought GW was the worst president in history, I didn't agree with people equating him with Hitler either. No double standard here.

Bush may not have been a stellar president, but he was fighting against the bill. I have to give him that much.

And yeah, the Barrak comment was lame. But when we have a President talking about socialized medicine, something is wrong. I was so wrong voting for him, but then again, what other choice did we have?

Thanks! Cowboy BeBop rules.

So, in an unrelated comment, have you considered carrying needle nose squeeze bottles as an e-cigarette accessory? I mean the ones with metal noses, not the plastic ones. The reason I wonder is that I've been getting these from hobby stores (sold as precision oilers) and find them to be essential tools for refilling carts. I think they'd sell like hotcakes if some of the e-smoke shops carried them alongside blank carts and stuff.

Just an idea.

What's wrong with the plain brown wrapper? It worked for the porn industry for decades.

If one can buy a $7,000 sex doll shipped in a huge crate and nobody cares, then shipping a little atomizer will be a piece of cake.

I'd personally love to see China tell the US to go .... itself and not import anything. That would be funny. Maybe it's something this country needs to get up off it's fat, lazy outsourcing ....

I know the ban will not have much effect. Trust me there. ;)

The local Attorney General has been all over the tee vee talking about trying to shut down Smoking Everywhere in Oregon because of the health claims... but he never stops there. He also goes on and on about "flavors means that they're for kids" and "THEY'RE FROM CHINA!!!!" as if that's some instant indication that they must be dangerous.

Hey, guess what, Oregon AG? Practically EVERYTHING comes from China these days. It's absolutely sobering how many things we buy regularly come from China. It's SO funny that he's trying to use the China angle as a scare tactic. Funny and sad, because it obviously works on a lot of misinformed and ignorant people.

Yup, isn't it funny how much we depend on China for all the crap we buy at WallMart, yet we're ready to trash them because of "safety" at the drop of an hat?

Without China, the US would be dead. Sad but true.

the onle think i am worried about is "Price" If the FDA ever does get it way and bans them it is like any thing else if you are willing to pay for it you will be able to get it. I just dont want to have to pay 5,10,20x the price i am now

If the government regulates them then yes, look at paying as much (if not more) than Analogs just in taxes alone.

Sad reality.

I'M RIGHT HERE
i dont see the USA banning or stopping e-cig's, there might be a bunch of huffing & puffing "pun intended" but where there is demand there will be a supply.
i am an on-line gambler, the good ole USA was not getting a cut and could not tax it so they try to ban it, well the companies just moved off-shore. I am quite sure that eventually they will figure out how to get a slice of the pie , that will probably increase our cost, but that will be years down the road.

Thing is, the big tobacco companies have to be kicking themselves for not getting a product like this to market sooner. There's no doubt that they'll have their own version of the e-cigarette on shelves sooner than later, and they'll claim that they're "superior to foreign, low quality products that don't deliver the smoking experience you've come to expect." And, without doubt, the version they sell will suck in comparison. Un-refillable carts, non-replaceable atomizers, use-once batteries and so forth.

Hey, if they can pull it off and make a good quality e-cig and keep it reasonably priced as e-cigs currently are, then I'm all for it. It would be good to see something actually made in America for a change. Hell, we don't even make our own FLAGS anymore. But if they make it as expensive as the real things, then it would be a moot point to use them because one of the big driving factors to e-cig sales is that it's a LOT cheaper than smoking analogs. We may as well keep buying from China if this be the case.

Buying an e-cig from an existing tobacco-company would be the last thing I would want to do. Because I would be pretty darn sure that they would immediately be starting to put other things into the liquor. Things to addict more, and things to keep people using their own brands.
So no... I think anyone BUT the tobacco-companies would be better candidates for making them...
