Sorry, I'm a newbie to this site, LOL. Here's something I wrote:

Dear Sir

After over 30 years of smoking, I was finally able to stop, thanks to
the life-saving new vaping products. This dramatically improved my
life, and I have been tobacco free for over 2 years now.

...

If vaping is no longer available:

I WILL BE FORCED TO START SMOKING AGAIN

It will be bad for the newbies. Bit not for me and most people like me.

I don't use tanks. I use RTAs. Meaning I wrap and wick my own darn coils. I DIY my own ejuice. I buy VG by the gallon and PG by the liter. The FDA is going to do whatever it does so people like me can laugh at whatever they decide to do.

Welcome to the forum SmokeFree and congrats at being off the cigs for a couple of years. I've never seen this kind of witch-hunt before against an activity/hobby that can be and is beneficial to so many people. I have been vaping for over a year now myself and without it, I would probably slip back to tobacco and that thought makes me more than a little angry. Governments are elected to serve their constituents, not to make back alley deals with big tobacco and pharma companies in an effort to maintain their revenue streams.

I also feel bad for the people who may not have the opportunity to get started vaping in the future.

It's not too late for people who have started or will start in the near future. It will take a couple of years for any regulations to be fully implemented. Now is the time to stock up.

I've been vaping for two years, and stopped smoking completely two days after I started to vape..
I went the first weekend without a smoke, then lit one up at break time that next Monday..
I felt my energy drop and this bleh feeling come over me that just felt like muck invaded my lungs..
After a 1/4 of that smoke..I put it out and was finished with them for good...

If for some reason I can't vape anymore..There is no way I will let myself go back to those lung hogs..I'll find the will power to be off of vape if i have to. But smoking,I quit that two years ago and told myself never again. That is one promise I won't break with myself..

I mean man,I had quit trying to quit until vaping came along..This is the longest I have ever went without them..
I started when I was 13 and quit at 49..You would have to put a gun to my head right now to get one of those big tobacco death sticks in my mouth..
Somewhere along the way ,Will power has to come into play if there is no other way..

If vaping goes away,We'll never have a better opportunity to cease the moment as that day..
If we go back,we're doomed in the clutch of the beast once again..

I don't want vaping to go away..But if after the battle is done and it does go away, and we find ourselves stranded..Find the will power inside you, somewhere, to stand strong and free..
Don't go back..Nothing good is back there..

Sounds like you are contemplating doing Exactly What The FDA Regs Are Designed To Do. You'll help get the MSA, Taxes, BT and BP profits back up, and get our Political Flies their pound of flesh.
Not a good plan.

Now is the time for all VAPERS to learn how to wrap coils and learn to wick them and possibly learn how to DIY EJuice and stock up on things that will go away.

Mods that usd 18660 batteries, wire for wicks nic and flavors.

I too fear that I'd return to smoking if I was somehow prevented from vaping. So within a few weeks of successfully killing a 36 year 2 PAD habit in favor of vaping almost two years ago, I decided there was no way I'd allow myself to be "forced" to revert. We may not be able to fight city hall and win, but we can sure put ourselves in a position to ignore them.

Agree 2000%. Now that I am almost to 0 nic and can DIY everything vaping related. I don't care what they do now.

VG, PG. and 18650 batteries are not going away because those are essential to so many different industries.

@Two_Bears I've been thinking about DIY myself. Do you buy flavors as well? Do you get VG based Nicotine?
Any links or pointers to helpful DIY resources that helped you get started?
Thank you!

Exactly this. It really does suck for those who haven't yet found this miracle, but for me.. they ain't forcing me to do anything. I'll be making my own coils, and my own ejuice with the 10 yrs worth of nicotine in my freezer, and the flavors I already have (and which will still be available, because they're FOOD FLAVORS!), and I'll be vaping my RDAs until *I* decide I'm good and ready to quit... which may be "never." And they can kiss my shiney hiney; they don't control me.

DIY is the only way to fly.

I like the flavors from Perfumer's apprentice and high desert vaped. I have also heard good things about the company Flavor Art.

I have about 130 ml of Nic left. Should be more than enough till I get to 0 nic. I bought 1/2 a liter last time and don't remember where I got it.

There is a DIY forum here. Check it out.

I saw PBusardo's video on FlavorArt in Italy. Cool company who seem dedicated to producing high quality flavors.
I did check out the DIY forum on ECF a few times. I guess I just need to jump into it, get some minimal quantities of VG, PG, Flavor and Nic and start testing. I downloaded the JuiceMeUp app but honestly that was pretty confusing to me.

Before you start DIYing let me offer a few words to help you a great deal.

I started by ordering VG and PG by the quart. Now I order VG by the gallon. About 6 weeks ago Amazon had a gallon of usp grade VG for $24.

Now for the advice.

1. You will need blunt syringes. Dedicate one syringe exclusively for the nic and with fingernail polish paint a big red X on it. You will need another syringe for flavor and syringes for PG and VG. The other syringes can be washed out and good to go. I use a rubber band and attach the syringe to my bottle of Nic.

2. In the beginning make small batches because some you may not like at all and would rather pour out 5 ml than 50 ml. You can make larger batches after you get used to flavors and have some recipes.

3. Start with half the amount of flavor they recommend. Drip a drop or two in an RDA. You can check the flavor. You can always add more flavor but you can't take it out.

4. An ejuice calculator is essential.

They can be confusing.

It needs to know the strength of Nic amount of milligrams per milliliters. The vg and pg rstio of your nin.

The VG and PG ratio of your flavor,

The size of batch you are making. The ratio of the VG and PG you want your final juice to be. I like ,70% VG.

The strength of Nic in your final juice. My calculator even asks where I get my flavors from and if the calculator knows the flavor I am using will spour a recipe.

X.xx ml flavor, vg, PG, nic that will make exactly 5 ml of juice and the exact strength of Nic in the juice

There are juicd calculators on line with recipes submitted by other users.
