Sorry, in advance, for this rant. This is SOP for ours, or any govt. They want more money so they villianize something, then people stop supporting it, then they get their way and tax it. Firearms, ammunition, tobacco.... any number of things through history, now its vaping. With all of the garbage foods and medicines that the FDA approve, we are supposed to believe that it is our best interest that they are looking after? Next time we vote maybe noticing that the people who are promising the most, for free, are going to take the most. Because there is one constant in all of this, we loose things AND we get taxed more for the priviledge. OK I feel better. Join CASAA and scream, there's no reason not to, stay quiet and they WILL take more of your money and restrict you.

Nicotine is the biggie
It's a poison and you better believe it will be regulated to the point that you'll be lucky to buy enough to DIY.

Have you ever tried to buy Sudafed (for one brand of many) for your runny nose ??
No problem say the regulators:
" They just need to ask for them and show ID, and know that there's a limit to the amount they can purchase."

IIRC.....CVS WAS going to start in-house "regulation" of the sale of acetone-based nail polish remover...
I guess enough people screamed loudly enough (perhaps with their wallets!!!;)) and the restriction thing was abandoned...
Oh....the reason they WERE going to "regulate"??
Acetone can be used to make .........
Sure.....and acetone can also be used to strip paint....and insulation from wires......and many other LEGAL uses!!
Just another case of someone trying to "protect us.....form ourselves...."!!:(

I'm prejudiced and still think that this is the greatest country on earth (and I'll agree with you if you feel that YOUR country is the greatest) BUT I/we can't have absolute trust in our politicians to do the 'right' thing in our opinion. Prior to our Revolutionary War, the rebels said it was patriotic to smuggle and avoid paying the British custom taxes on tea and whiskey for example. After the Revolution, the government decided that it was the patriotic duty of all smugglers and moonshiners to pay tax on their goods. George Washington gathered up the army and went after the moonshiners to get them to pay the excise tax. Look up "Whiskey Rebellion" for evidence. Someone in Congress heard that one of the common ways of contracting salmonella was eating raw eggs. "Wouldn't it be smart and help protect our constituents by making the serving of raw eggs and raw egg products in food serving establishments illegal? Why yes it would! Let's pass a Bill making it so!" The congressional cafe heard about this. The congressman sat down to eat, and found out that they couldn't get mayonaisse or dressing on their Cesar's Salad. "Why is this waiter?" "Because they contain raw eggs and it will be illegal to serve them" replied the waiter. The bill died quietly. We have to see what happens to vaping, banning, taxing to death, whatever. We have to make our feelings known!

The only issue left for the FDA to justify the legislation of e-cigs, is the nicotine level in e-cigs.

The availability of hardware is untouchable, but high nic levels may fall under a more obscure NRT provision, if juices are demonstrated to deliver more nic than gum/patch/lozenges, those may become restricted (though not eliminated). Low nic level juices should remain available. Higher nic levels may become available by prescription only (but let's face it, that's a recipe for a black market).

Could you stay on e-cigs at 18 mg/mL? Or 12?

Join CASAA.

CASAA also works at getting good research information, and educating public officials about the safety of e-cigs, for those cities/counties that are considering a ban of the use and/or sale of e-cigs.
