Problem is the testing required to get approved along that route, and then of course the requirement to have a 12 week "quit-or-return-to-analogs" program attached to them like other NRTs...or even worse, available by doctor prescription only.Even being classified as a cessation device wouldn't bother me unless they jack the prices up to what patches and all of that cost!

Ah, I see. There is a limited time that you can buy those types of things? I figured that things like the patch, since they are OTC, could be used for as long as one technically wanted to.
Doc prescription would be pretty horrible for those who don't have some sort of insurance or a low budget alternative.
