Fear of nicotine sickness from the juice...

Hey, new member here (first post, yay!) Anyway, I have a question/some concerns. I have read that getting the e liquid on you can result in nicotine sickness since it can be absorbed through the skin and have become paranoid about that. Has anyone ever experienced negative effects from this? What is the best way to avoid it (besides being careful, obviously)?
Also, I just added some e liquid to a cartridge and notice that it wants to leak out a little and that makes me nervous...thoughts on how to deal with this? Did I just add too much or something?

Small amounts are not harmful depending on the strength of your liquid. Bigger spills should be washed up immediately as much for safety for yourself and others. Especially if you have children or pets. Lots of people have gotten quite a bit of liquid on themselves and lived to tell the tale. What mg are you using?

okay, excellent! I have a bit of a vomiting phobia so that's something I get nervous about.

I get sick from big heavy cigars sometimes. I'm just sensitive to nicotine I guess but maybe thats why its positive effects are so enjoyable to me?

I'd imagine its more than possible to vape too much and get sick quickly as well as get sick from handling. If you start to feel nauseous the best thing you can do is get sugar into your blood stream and quick. Some people say you gotta dissolve it onto your tongue (gets into your bloodstream faster? I dunno) but I personally enjoy cigars (and vapes) with a glass of coca cola. Regular sugar-sweetened soda will work well. Diet soda and artificial sweetners can make it worse so be careful.

Basically speaking, you feel sick from nicotine because your pancrease stops working like it's supposed to and causes very low blood sugar. So when you give yourself a sugar rush, you are just kind doing the opposite. Think of your body like a scale constantly trying to balance itself. If nicotine is loading crap on one side of the scale causing it to tip, sugar is essentially loading the scale on the other end to balance it out. The best thing to do is to try not to get the crap on the scale in the first place.

Some people also have had luck with popping a benedryl because it blocks nausea receptors in the brain or something crazy like that. I've never read any scientific information backing this up as I've never known antihistamines to effect stomach function but it will certainly help you sleep it off... and nothing cures nicotine sickness as well as time. Still, I'd avoid this as again you are counteracting the effects of a stimulant with a depressant and that's not how the body wants to work.

The best thing to do is prevention. If you are prone to illness from smoking you could very possibly get it if you vape too much so eat a little something well before you start vaping or handling. Stay hydrated well before as well.

*Also... this works wonders for preventing hangovers. If you stay overhydrated for a few hours before you start drinking you'll find yourself in considerably better condition the next AM. This works I assure you. So why don't more people do it? Because they have to pee every 5 seconds if they do lol
