I think 18 is fine for me, just gonna need more of it to start with I guess.

You don't absorb as much of the nicotine content from vaping as you do from smoking tobacco. It's normal to hit an ecig harder and more often than a cigarette. When you feel the urge come on, vape until it goes away. Do that each time and you will discover the vaping frequency you need. I vape 24mg liquid and I've been doing that for over 18 months. I just don't feel the need to cut down at this point.

I keep trying to think of an analogy to give you and all I come up with is drug analogies. HMMM, maybe coffee. You can get a triple shot of expresso and slam it down or you can sip a couple cups of coffee all day. Same amount of caffeine but one is delivered quickly (cigarettes) while the other is sort of time released (ecigs).

Sorry I did not read the whole thread (nor notice you were in the UK until I wrote this - will edit a bit).

Titan e-nic - little 510 automatic?

1 - not a very strong ecig - there are stronger
2 - auto batteries - not the way to get good hits
3 - atomizer & cartridges - the worst way to vape (try Boge 510 cartomizers 3 ohm)
4 - I don't know what juice you are using but VG dulls flavor and hit. I use juices with a lot of PG & 30% or less VG

Even within slim models, KR808D-1 is a warmer ecig (3.6-3.7v) that can give more hit, mainly with its manuals. SmokelessImage & Bloogplanet are good and if you want the longest hits, Vapor4Life (10 second cutoff vs 5 seconds for the first 2 I listed). but the first 2 have very nice cartomizers. V4L WOW cartos are so hot you pretty much have use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece

Beyond the slim ecigs are all kinds of big battery models (like Riva 510 at Liberty-Flights.com in the US is 3.7v, hotter than 510, and can use the same attys/cartomizer or the hotter LR ones). And there are mods 3.7, variable voltage and more. Ask Liberty-Flights.co.uk if their Riva kits are the new 3.7v ones - I KNOW their Riva 510 SE kits are (SE has always been 3.7)

Manuals - big difference in the hit. With manuals you press the button 1-2 seconds early then drag then let up right before the end of your drag.

Cartomizers - you have to keep them damp and they have limited lives (I get 7-10 days) but provide a much more consistent vaping experience, keep your flavors totally separate, each has its own new atomizer coil inside, cost $2-3 each.

Re dragging - you don't drag an ecig hard like a cig. You drag slow then inhale. Autos may need a short warmup drag followed by the real drag.

I do vape some 510's (but manuals) w/ Boge 3 ohms cartomizers (the hotter 2 ohm ones are only for batteries 450mah+ like Riva 510 and Ego and mods). I also vape KR808D-1 manuals and vape the juice that needs more heat/hit on those. And I have a Riva 510 3.7v model. A similar vape can be gotten with a 3.7v 510-threaded mod box (see Dave's Devices in the UK and probably others)

That's one part of the problem right there - auto batteries instead of manual. Plus, that is a small battery model which will be much more inconsistent than a good beginner model.

Better battery models provide warmer vapor and more consistency, not to mention a much longer time on a charge. With your model, since the battery is small, as it drains, it is not able to vaporize the liquid as well and performance suffers.

I would suggest getting a better model with manual batteries that will provide warmer vapor and better control to the user. You will still be able to use the atomizers you currently have. An E-Power 510 or a Riva would be a good "beginner" model to check out.

Great advice.

A larger battery ecig will give you more vaping between charges as well as the ability to supply more stable voltage to the atomizer. Vaping requires more frequent hits than a cigarette. Less nicotine is absorbed from the mist created by an ecig. With a cigarette, you are inhaling tar that stays in your lungs for a while. The particles of combustion are small enough to enter the air sacs in the lungs. Ecig vapor droplets are actually too large to enter the air sacs (a good thing). Most of the nicotine is absorbed through the tissues in your mouth and sinuses. Try exhaling through your nose slowly for a greater nic hit.

For $29.95 you can get a Riva 510 starter kit that contains two complete Riva 510 ecigs with 750mah batteries (5 to 6 hours heavy vaping between charges), a cone (dresses up the Ecig), and a charger, along with a nice leatherette box.

The Riva 510 is a 3.7v version of the Ego style ecig (3.4v). It will accept any accessory with a 510 thread. That opens up a multitude of options that you will see discussed here on ECF.

Click the 20% off icon at the top of the page to get the $29.95 price.
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

It's also available in a Boge carto version for $34.99. You get all the parts in the Riva 510 Lite Bundle along with 10 Boge 510 cartos (a $16 value by themselves).

More great advice and explanation.

This thread is full of good advice.

My take.

1) dump the auto equipment and get better. Riva at LF is a good call. So is the e-power
2) increase nic strength. You'll know when you've vaped too much.
3) If you don't mind bigger equipment and are willing to spend more $ now.

Buy a good vv mod. (I am a Buzzpro fan) on sale now with an additional discount with code ecf buzzkill.
Get some good cartos. Reg Boge with vv equipment. CCV sells them cheap. ecf5off

Replacing the auto batteries with manuals is good advice. Within a day of getting my first 510 kit, I found myself going back and ordering a pair of manual batteries. I found that the auto batteries had a very inconsistent draw, which is not good if you are seriously trying to quit smoking. My other mistake I made when starting was using lower nic juice. As a former pack a day smoker of camel wide lights, the 11mg nicotine juice just didn't get the job done. Moving up to a 16-18mg nicotine juice made a big difference, which is the level I use to this day.

If you were smoking unfiltered, id go even higher than 18mg. Also, try taking a few short puffs, not even inhaling, just so the thing activates (does it have a light?) just puff puff puff (1/2 a second each time) so the light stays on...that way the coil has time to heat up and fill up with juice. then take your hit.

As for the flavor, i recently read another post....NOTHING WILL EVER TASTE LIKE A REAL CIG...and that is a fact that you need to accept before moving forward...but really is that so bad? they dont taste so good...but yes, you will need time to get used to it....try different vendors and different tobacco flavors, im sure you will find something that works for you. order small 3-5ml bottles as samplers till you find something you like...it will cost a bit more at the start as you are trying things you wont like...but once you find something you like...you can order bulk and save cash. Try Ivape.net , ive heard great things about the Sweet Caroline flavor, im waiting for my first order to come in...also i ordered Carolina BOLD which i have hopes for as an analog flavor.

Stay strong man, I've been vaping for 1.5 months and sneaking 1 or 2 real cigs a day...today is the first day i looked at the analoges and said...wow, i just cant stand that nasty taste.

I get the feeling you should go higher dose. try some 22-24mg e-liqueid

Another thing...i dont know if this is true with your tank system, but with my EGO-T 100% VG liquid doesnt go thru the system very well and gives weak hits....they recommend a 80%pg/20%vg mix, maybe its the same for your system.

I'm still pretty new...the vets can help you figure out how and where to get a mixed juice...the Ivape.net liquids are all this blend which is why im hopefull for that being my perfect juice. Best of luck.

Yes you'll find the Vets here give great and honest advice. Taste: you'll prolly never find a tobacco tasting juice. My first Ecig was a mod with a large battery and a manual button- far more control over the strength of a vape. Large battery- my battery lasts over 36 hrs and I vape heavy. I also went straight to 36 mg and knew if it was too strong I could always cut it down. I also tried atomizers and didn't like them. I now use single coil 510 Cartomizers and have ordered a whack of dual coil mega Cartomizers.
Overall get a system whereby YOU can manipulate the amount inhaled via a large manual battery.
Happy Vaping and, once again, listen to the Vets here as they will honestly give you good advice.
