With all the FDA stuff and poor video newscasting where alot of information has been distorted and missgivings I may have no choice but to smoke analogs again.

It seems I wont have years to become less dependant and since I don't have funds to stockpile on liquids and parts I feel doomed.

I have tried patches and losenges and gums and nothing worked until the PV which I call my magic wand. Once the FDA bans these what else is one to do?

I have read about the alternatives here and I truely see no hope as whats listed I have already tried or am excluded from (like Chantrix due to other meds I am already taking)

Am I the only one feeling like this?

Chokmah--you do have an option in the face of a ban---Stock up!! Make my own no-nic e-liquid--and mods--In the face of the FDA's clear cut statements, that is our alternative in the face of a possible ban. You can get very good deals on atomizers direct from China, but there is always the risk of customs. I have had no trouble to date but a few report otherwise. I think the e-liquid was the issue though in most cases. -----Sun

So far the UK has got off relatively lightly, but I cant help but feel in my bones that the end is near for us all.

I for one have vowed never to smoke another analog. If the worse comes to the worst, I will vape organic tobacco with an i-inhale. I have one on order, I will play with it for vaping e-juice and I am content in the knowledge that if I HAVE to go back to tobacco, at least I can take it in a 95% safer from that way.

I'm sure there are a lot of people feeling exactly the same way with all this bad news.

Nope... I am pretty bummed today thinking that soon all of this could dry up. I've emailed JC and other suppliers inquiring about the future of their products. I don't really know what I am trying to accomplish but I don't really know what else to do. If we are still able to ship stuff (hardware) in from overseas then I guess it's the patch and vape 0 Nicotine...

I am generally a Pollyanna, but I have to admit that I am feeling a bit gloomy about all of this.

While I refuse to panic and stockpile for the end of the world, I am slowly accumulating an enviable stash of liquids and parts. If nothing else, I don't want to live through another Chinese New Year without tons of spares on hand.

My ultimate goal has been to go to no-nic solutions, but I haven't been in any particular hurry to do it. I'm down to mostly low and no-nic solutions with occasional spikes of medium or high, and I'd be happy to stay with that for the foreseeable future. However, in light of the present uncertainty, I'm starting to feel more of an urgency to reduce my nicotine dependence.

And while I recognize that parts would theoretically still be available in the event the devices themselves were banned, I know that at best, parts would be difficult to find and no doubt quite expensive. Thus, I'm buying extra atomizers, and I'm now going to step that up a bit. (I figure batteries aren't quite as big an issue, especially because I now have a Screwdriver in my lineup, and those batteries will always be readily available.)

I hope that this is much ado about nothing. I really do.

I haven't even started vaping yet. I'm waiting for my ejuice from the UK & China - knock on wood it even gets here (TW & Ruyan). I think I have about 6 mos. worth of supplies. I'm going to dilute my ejuice & stretch it out with the intention of weaning myself down to 0 nic. like above posters. I couldn't get my hands on too many atomizers, so I'm hoping to clean them using the various cleaning methods on the tips & tricks forum. I also bought a passthrough. I wish this didn't involve so many parts that can go bad so soon.

How long have e-cigs been popular in the UK & US? I keep thinking that if it weren't for the senator that was vaping in the white house (or wherever it was), that this all may just stayed more under the radar. Like that was some nail in the coffin. But I don't know anything about the history of the e-cig & how long the FDA has been threatening it's ban.

I apologize for being so negative as it isnt normally how I view things. That said, due to our very limited income its impossible for me to stock up. I have tried to cut down on the nicotine quickly but when I do cravings are worse.

Sorry for venting but this whole FDA stuff on these seems ridiculous when analogs are still so available. I feel like its one step forward and two steps back..

No worry, just do what I do. I follow the mailman to see if he's carry a package that look like there might be e-juice inside. I just grab it from him and run like 'Forest Gump'.

Sorry, just trying to lighten you up:). So far, there is no action from the FDA yet. There are still stuff coming from china. And I think there are U.S. base e-liquid already(not 100% sure on this). Also, I don't see how they can ban this stuff without banning analog cigarettes. We might see it market in the future as under a more control product/device like those nic gum, Nicorette...etc.

Chok, you can buy the highest strength e-liq and cut it when you need it with VG or PG. Its the same price as the lower mg nic liquids - so buy the highest.

Don't panic or feel down about this, we'll figure it out and get by - we're all smart, someone will come up with idea's to keep us all going. Look at all those smart people making Mods, I know I couldn't ever make one (just not my forte) but we have the smarts here!
I'm trying now myself to extract nicotine from Tobacco - I bet that would do in a pinch - I'm just using water to soak my tobacco, then I'll add some VG and flavor and off we go - I'm sure it will work! Just relax... we're all in this together and it does nobody any good to panic.

We need to get pro active. how many of you have non smokers in your life who love the change it has made for them. tell them what is going on and get their support. I told my family like this. Smokers like me have finally found a way to keep our feedom of personal choice, while respecting the rights and health of those around me. And they are trying to ban it. guess i could just go back to my stinky, unhealthy for everyone second hand smoke producing cigs since no one is gong to help me stop the ban. My sister immediately said no don't do that. Where is that petition to help at? i'll sign it.

Am I the only one feeling like this?

I was feeling the same way.

I posted a similar thread, but the general consensus seems to be I'm a bit too negative.

Respondents offered good arguments to support their position, so I've decided to try to follow their example and be a bit more positive concerning the future of e-cigarettes.
