Seems to me cartomizers are just a big waste of time. Am I missing something? When I was brand spankin new at this I was overwhelmed with the refilling and spinning and etc etc so I just direct dripped into an atty to keep it simple.

Now I'm feeling more comfortable with the routine so I've been playing around with my options. Pulled out a few cartos last week and made a concerted effort to use them. They vape fine for me now (couldn't quite get the hang of them before) but vapor production and TH are no match for dripping. I also seem to go through juice faster with cartos. I can get 20 drops in there, which at my hit/drip rate should render me 25-30 drags but I'll be damned if the things seem to run dry after about 15. So really, I'm refilling on a regular basis anyway AND running through juice like it's free or sumthin lol.

Add to that the hassle of refilling every night and making sure I take enough to last the day each morning and I might as well just grab the bottle of juice and boogy.

So, ok, it's entirely possible I'm missing something here. Carto fans feel free to talk me out of giving up on cartos forever cuz where I'm sitting, not seeing the attraction :glare:

What's the difference from dripping or refilling your cartos frequently?

Dripping i just pop the tip and drip, reapply tip. Cartos I'd have to pop the tiny little top, drip carefully down the sides, wait and watch for it to soak in so I don't flood it, repeat... repeat.... repeat... etc, and then reapply tiny little top assuming that I haven't lost it in the meantime.

Is the attraction that they are disposable more or less? Like maybe I could remove the filler and just drip direct like with any atomizer except not worry about being nice to them.

But this forum is FULL of people who use cartos... there's even a room just for the subject, so I must be missing something here.

Oh and Ps. Willie, I didn't read your post properly the first time, forget the cart, just drip tip it.

I prefer carts and attys too. The cartos are just to much hassle to fill and definately don't taste as good. I keep reading how good they are and have bought different brands but I have a bunch that are just setting there in a box. I can get 20 drops in my 801 cart and I can see when it is empty and when it is full not so with the cartos.

Juice taste the best when dripped onto a regular atomizer. Cartomizers are convinient but isn't the best tasting IMHO. However, if convinience is your priority cartomizers are way to go.

How? Please explain because this is the point I think I am missing. Cartomizers don't seem convenient at all. In fact they seem to be a huge hassle.

i'll fill a cart every once in a while on special occasions when i have some time on my hands. i like the taste of my juice in a cart, but yea cartomizers and carts are actually less convenient in my opinion.

just carry juice and drip, because most of the time you're going to be dripping a drop or two every few "cigs worth" of a cart or cartomizer anyways. it's rare you get one that keeps vaping well for extended periods of time.

if you have to have your juice with you anyways, may as well drip.

but i can see for driving, they have some use. that's about it for me.

Cartomizers are more convenient because it lasts longer than a cartridge when you refill it. With cartridges, I find myself topping it up constantly where with cartomizers, it's less frequent.

With a 3-piece device, I always have to carry device and a bottle of liquid. Pre-filled cartridges just don't last long, and they leak.

With a 2-piece device, I prefill about 5 cartomizers and I'm good to go. And it never leaks!

And thus I use cartomizers for outdoors, and cartridge/attys at home.

My paradigm just shifted without a clutch.....
I've been just dripping into it and capping the whole time and wasn't worried about where it went as long as it stayed in the carto.

God don't take my word for it. Ive only been at this since April it's entirely possible that I'm being over the top too careful. Just seems to flood if I'm not. High likelihood of user error here.

Haha thats right. What I do is take a out syringe, pull out about 5ml of liquid from a bottle of juice, and put 1ml into each cartomizer. The whole process takes less than a minute.

I repeat the same process the next day using the same cartomizers. I find that you can refill it about 3 times per cartomizer, which is a great value!

Btw the cartomizers I'm using are Joye 510 cartomizers from Boge

You guys are making this whole refilling cartos thing waaaay more difficult than it needs to be.

For me?

Drip 4 drops into the hole in the bottom. Shake shake. 4 more. Shake shake. 4 more. Shake shake.

Done. It takes all of 30 seconds, and now I don't have to do jack for the next 3-4 hours.

None of this taking the top off, using a syringe, spinning it, letting it set, whatever. It doesn't need to be that complicated.

Now, WASHING is a real pain in the ..... But I think given how much time I DON'T have to spend on cart mods, dripping, screwing with atties, etc etc etc, it more than balances out.

And only 3 refills? Man, what are you guys doing to those cartos? You must be vaping them to death before you refill...

I have a couple 901's, and I do like them, and I do use them. But I could never go to atties/carts/dripping full time. It's just so much more time-consuming.

As it stands, I don't need to take juice when I go out. My PCC with a batt in it and 2 extra carts can go for more than 12 hours, since I tend to vape less when I'm out.
