Hi.

So I have been trying to switch to vaping and have had bad luck with side effects. Ear pains, chest pains and other. I tried a bunch of different juices and they all give me side effects. Until now it's been 3 days I have been off cigarettes and using Stigs I bought at a gas station. Kills the craving for a e ci . I love the taste.

First 2 days I had a bad case of acid reflex and heart burn , but when I switched from mango to mint it went away.

I'm feeling great, I feel my lunge are already better, but for some reason I feel lazy as f***...I feel buzzed, like I took narcotics. Is this normal ? Will it go away?

I try to drink a lot of water and juices and they help a bit.
I'm not in physical pain or anything, just I feel weird and slow. I dont want to stand and I wanna sit all the time.

Any clues ? I'm hoping it will to away. .

When I used free base nicotine and a mod I didnt have this feeling. I actually felt more energized like I took a stimulant. But free base and mods give me ear pains. ..
So I don't use pod systems and I don't use Nic salt however I do understand a bit about them. They are designed with a cigarette smoker in mind which all E-cigarettes are to some extent however the Pod systems are designed specifically for new users who are going from smoking cigarettes to using e-cigarettes they're easy to use they're High nicotine which is what you're used to with cigarettes. They're really high nicotine but I don't know what the absorption rate is with e-cigarettes. So what I'm wondering in order to compensate for cigarettes are you chain vaping or are you using your Vape like you would a cig? Like when I smoke I would smoke a cigarette sometimes two and then I would put the cigarettes down go do some stuff and come back later and have another cigarette or two. Seeing as how you have stopped smoking cigarettes and are using a device to substitute for it you may be feeling a psychological need to use it more because the thing about dependency on nicotine is that it's not just the nicotine it's also the hand-to-mouth and the taste of the smoke and the throat hit and all other sorts of things so even if you have a satisfactory amount of nicotine in your system to keep you from going through any sort of withdrawal, mentally you could still be trying to compensate.

They have 60 mg of nicotine, holy cow! Be sure you don't get nicotine poisoning. I use 3 mg of nicotine just to compare. I don't know why pods use high nic salts. I could never vape that stuff, no wonder you are buzzed.

There’s a huge difference between a pod and a mod though. I use 6 mg in my RBAs and 35 in my pods. I get about the same amount of nic from the same number of hits from either, it’s just delivered much more efficiently with the bigger cloud.

That said, I’m not 100% sure, but it seems that the symptoms of getting too much nic are really different with salts at a high level than with freebase. With freebase, I always got a little headache and felt a bit rough, but I hear people say they feel tired with salts.

On top of the OP still withdrawing from cigarettes which can cause a lot of symptoms, most of this sounds like too much nic.

Chest pain should always be taken seriously though, so go see the doc about that.

For the rest of this, consider switching to freebase, or at least limit your pod use.

That's not always true though... with a high watt cloud chucker even though you're getting a good hit, a very large percentage of it is lost/wasted when you exhale. And personally, when I use a pod system, I do direct lung hits (and if I am stealth vaping, which is what I tend to use pod systems for, I usually hold it in until nothing is left). I vape 18-20mg in both and cannot tell a difference (and I get really cranky when it is below 20mg, 18mg is what I have been trying to taper down to next).

Ok guys, day 4, no cigarettes at all. Feeling really good. This morning I had a cough when i woke up, probably my lungs clearing out all the tar and .... !

I dont feel as tired or lethargic anymore. I also noticed I have been hitting the STIG less then the first 2 days.
1 stig should last you 24 hrs and is equal to 1 pack of cigs. Im a PAD smoker. Correction : I WAS a pack a day smoker.

STIGS arent cheap, but honestly at this point my health is worth the world to me.

Ill keep everyone updated on how it goes.

That is great! There are tons of pods for sale cheap that are refillable that I suggest you look at and get some nic salts in lower mg so you can taper off a bit. Also you won't have to worry about nic over dose at lower mg. I'll find a link.
I already have a Uwell Calliburn and several nic salts at 50mg, 35mg, and 25mg. Different brands. They either give me a chest pains, or shortness of breath or another side effect. One gives me a back pain.

This is the only one so far that hasnt given me any side effects.

Have you seen a doctor? Because none of those seem normal at all, especially chest pains (unless it was a nicotine overdose or something?). If a doctor says nothing is wrong, maybe you are allergic to either PG or VG, do you know what the mix is for what you have and what you are currently using?

Man i tried everything, every pg vg ratio, every mod, everything. I always get side effects.
The stigs are the ones that are working for me for now.
Sometimes i think my brain might be playing tricks on me, or its really anxiety.

Maybe... I mean anxiety could cause ALL of those symptoms.
For now im thoughing it out, with the stigs its not so bad.
1st day i had a lot of acid reflux and burping and heart burn.
I switched to mint instead of mango and its gone.
2nd day i was feeling really slow, tired and buzzed. But feeling my lungs better.
3rd day was good, sometimes i felt a shortness of breath
day 4 today, I woke up with a cough and felt some shortness of breath earlier, but now its gone.

Do they give you a list of ingredients of PG/VG? I can't vape high VG, 50/50 is as high I can go. Sounds like a problem with the carrier percentage

Yea , i got 100% VG from Kai virgin vapor nic salts 50mg, and 50/50 from PAcha mama salts at 25mg.

The VG one gives me back pain, like my back muscles are stiff, really not confortable.
The pacha mama gives me a tight chest and feelings of pins and needles in my chest and sudden pains.

Im doing good right now with the STIGS !

Bravo!

Stig away for a couple of weeks and your body will tell you either stay with that or stop. There are other choices of pre-filled types too. But most are strong like the Stig.
Nic salt gives me asthma-like symptoms so I'm done with that stuff.

Many pre-filled pods use 50% vg to "burn" more efficiently with less electrical energy. Some find that too harsh. Some prefer that amount or more. I found a refillable pod I like and a juice I prefer based on trial and error, after being tortured by pre-filled devices while reducing my smoking. So be prepared to try out a few things before you find what works best for you.

Part is getting used to the difference between vapor and smoke. It aint that different than sipping wine or sipping beer. But as time goes on you will find something you prefer and at that point go for less nicotine a little at a time.

Been coughing a lot today actually, not sure why ? Im guessing its my lungs clearing out the tar and stuff

When I first made the switch I coughed - and hard. But I was coughing up gunk... it tapered off some after two weeks, and then tapered off some more after about three months.

By the time I'd been vaping 6 months my lungs felt clear and I quit coughing.

I never coughed up anything again until I quit vaping, and then I was coughing so hard again but once more, I was coughing up a lot of crud..

I went back to vaping and the coughing stopped, and the second time I quit vaping I wasn't coughing anything up any more. .

So depending upon the condition of your lungs when you switch, it's possible you will cough. Not everyone does, but some people do.

However, my lungs were in a horrible condition by the time I quit smoking....
