quitting the ciggies has alot of consequences... there are alot more chemicals in ciggies that we have become addicted to than just nicotine. The transition to vaping "just nic" eases some of the withdrawls from ciggies but not all of them... alot of people who develope symptoms when they start vaping/quit ciggies blame the new symptoms on vaping, not thinking about the withdrawl part....

Yes it sounds like withdrawl systoms. Muscle craps are build up of lactic acid from quitting. If you can go for a walk or some exercise with your legs it will help. However you did not say what mg of juice you are vaping so that could be something. Also make sure you drink water all the time when vaping because dehydrate you which will also give you all those symptoms.

i had my last cig. About 3 weeks ago and started with the vapor and have loved it with no cravings or cheating however yesterday I started feeling horrible with muscle cramps and nausea with fatigue. Has this happened to any of you ? I read it could be predicted in some with quitting ???
I am almost 3 weeks smoke free too and it was smooth sailing for me right out of the gate with no issues until yesterday. I felt really lethargic and almost depressed when I woke up. Felt really crappy.

I lowered my nic a bit and that definately helped, but based on the last few times I quit cold turkey... It was always 2-3 weeks before my body said "F U, I need a cigarette!" This seems to go away in a few days IME.

Congrats on quitting the sticks Tammy.

Another possibility is the cramps could be caused by the PG in your juice. Do you know what is the PG/VG ratio in the juice you've been vaping? I'm sensitive to PG and small amounts cause muscle cramps in my legs (calf muscles) and also makes me nauseous - which is one of the main reasons why I started DIY shortly after I started vaping. I use VG only and all of my flavoring is VG-based too so I've completely eliminated PG from my juice. PG will also dehydrate you, so make sure you drink sufficient amounts of water if you continue to vape juice with PG in it. Try some high VG (or VG only) juice and see if that helps.

3 days - 3 weeks - 3 months -- All or any of those times after quitting can be rough spots; I got the depression and general lack of focus at about 3wks, it cleared up in about a week or so. A little bit at the 3 month point, though not quite as bad, but kinda ...... off at the world, and it also cleared up in about a week.

Hang tough! It gets better! And everytime you weather a rough spot, it makes the next one less rough.

What everyone else said! I went through it but I started 24mg of nic, headaches, nausea. I cut way back because I was vaping more, I'm down to 6 mg and have been for about 2 years. I never realized the severity of withdrawal from cigs, so many changes when your body no longer gets the garbage you have been bombarding it with, stick to it, it definitely gets better! Good luck!
