It might seem a little daunting at first but everyone here wants you to find your perfect vape. (one of the best parts of being a Reo owner is this forum) The Grand with the RM2 can't be beat. If you're looking to save you can't get any better. You buy a 6 dollar box of cotton there's enough to leave in your will. You buy a 8 dollar roll of Kanthal wire and you have enough wire for 5 years or so. I estimate the cost of a rebuild at around 7 or 8 cents. I haven't seen any cartos clearos or tanks at that price. Go with the Grand and we will get you to the place you want to be.

How's THAT for service.?

All that stuff is easy, TM1. Just read up on the micro coil tutorials, do a coil on the RM2 at around the ohms you think you will prefer and work from there to find your sweet spot. The difficult stuff is choosing the colour(s) of your Grand and waiting for delivery! Keep us updated please.

Dang it, nerak! Now you've got me thinking about 5v. Any idea about what 5v battery would be appropriate for the grand?

You are way way ..... way better off lowering your resistance to get a similar vape off of the 18650 batteries.

Those 5v batteries really aren't great. Its actually 4 little cells stacked and shrink wrapped together :(

If you start rebuilding you can get any kind of vape you wish without worrying about higer voltage.

I got some of those 5 volt batteries (with the special charger they required) back when....and Tim's totally right....they're (to me) a waste of money. In fact, it you're absolutely bent on trying it...I could probably find my 5 volt batteries and charger....I'll send 'em to you. They were back before rebuildable attys hit....and there's no need for them (IMHO) nowadays.
