hi people

i want to buy Flavourless nicotine salt base in 100% pg so i can add it to e liquids that dont have any nic

so my question is . how long will it stay good after i open the bottle ??

im reading on google that it can last up to 2 years but once i open the bottle it should be used with in 14 days even if kept in the freezer ??

if thats true then i will not buy as i wouldnt use that much with in such a small time

is there something else i can buy that wont expire so fast

also what actually happend when it expiers

I don't use nic salts. Regular nicotine will last for years if kept in glass bottles and in a freezer. Once a bottle is opened it will last for many months (likely much longer) if kept in the fridge. I'm pretty sure it's the same with nic salts.

As nicotine (both plant-based and lab-formulated) ages or is exposed to heat, light, or oxygen, it oxidizes. Store the nic you are using in the fridge. If you stock-up on nic store that in your freezer.

I've never had any nicotine expire and I am currently using nic from 2016. It is clear as day and has no off-taste.

IIRC @Letitia uses nicotine salts. Perhaps she can add her expertise with nic salts. :)

Im only vaping Normal Nicotine and i just add a few drops in my DIY e-liquids, usually they are 20mg in a 10ml bottles mixed only with base and no flavors at all, so i don't have any problems with storage, i simply put them in a drawer, i have used on this format and i don't have any real issues !

A liter I had previously was kept in a freezer. The liter I'm goin' thru now is in the back of the fridge. That first liter lasted for almost 5 years, and the bottle had been opened and reclosed several times during. This liter I've been into for almost a year, and that bottle has been opened once or twice. I don't know where Google got that info, but 2 weeks??

I keep my 100 mg/ml nic in the fridge, but the 120 or so ml batch I get at a time from it stays in a cool dark corner of my room. The 30 ml batch of daily use just sits for a month or so on my desk. This has worked out just fine for me.

Salts don't get bitter but will turn yellow and eventually orange when exposed to light and likely warmth; the taste itself doesn't seem to change though. Thing with salts is you can't test titration due to the acid. I've not suspected any change in strength over time but I've been vaping 9mg for a few years and doubt I'd notice a bit of reduction in strength.
