Hope I'm not being redundant here but have a 4 day old Evic that would not fire my clearomizers after 100% charge. Took it to the B/M store and they said this is a big issue and don't have a fix yet (everyone calling). We finally got it to fire after I bought a T3 and a small bottle of juice because I was freaking out without a backup. Once you get it off the 100% into the 90s, it will fire anything. Anyone else having this problem??

I have had my eVic for about 6 weeks. Never had this issue. Never heard of it being an issue. I hope it goes away soon for you, have you upgraded your firmware to 1.2? If you have you can always restore it to 1.0 and reinstall the 1.2 update. That seems to take care of several issues, like the "hardware not found" issue.

Verify your Serial # against the Recall list. One of mine will do this on occasion, but it IS a recall head from a coop I was in. Unit was replaced but they let me keep the old one.
I have found 2 basic workarounds.
1) Pressing the fire button 2-3 times and HOLD it - the atomizer usually starts to fire around 3-4 seconds in. Have to repeat this through several vapes until the charge drops a bit then it works normally.
2) Place your fresh battery in a mechanical mod and take a few long vapes. put it in the eVic and give it a try.

Odd thing Is this unit rarely does this, may be detecting battery overcharge, and the other eVic never does it.

Thanks for the tip folks. It would not fire anything I had (clearos) so I took it to the store where I bought it. I had not had the chance to upgrade the firmware being only a couple of days old. The store manager upgraded it for me but no fire at 100% charge. We screwed on a T3 and it fired so I bought it. It's not a serial number on the recall list but the store offered a refund and said its happening a lot lately, might be a bad batch in his inventory. I like the EVIC so much that I couldn't part with it and the store only had Twists to replace so we will work on the solution rather than giving up.

this same thing happens with mine as well ive tried everything to fix but i also have access to all styles of batteries and attys i sell em at the mall but yeah any time it gets above 90% charge i have to take the drag to 8 seconds before it fires ive even re soldered in heavy gauge wires to try and fix it still no luck though i just keep my batt around 60- 90 and tada

I have the same problem with my evic and boge f16. It's not all of them and my b/m said the same thing I'm pretty upset about I've had mine for 1.5 months out if return and warranty at the b/m. I also just tested my battery tube at 100% with a coworkers top and it fired no problem. I think it's time to find a new ecig store for me, recommendations in chi-town area.

Have you tried powering up with MVR?
Have you been using any button top batteries?

Man I hope you can give me some ideas. I have two eVics that are not working. I have not abused them at all.

eVic 1 - powers on but will not fire any atty. It goes through the 10 second cycle. It has done this before and corrected with reinstalling MVR and filmware....a few times. Sometimes it works the first time around. The kicker is when it is working, charging the batt will put it back to useless.

eVic 2 - This is really bad. Its dead...totally dead. I did get it to be able to power on with a third firmware reload but it would only power on through the starting cycle and die when the fire button was pressed to vape. It would power on again only to die. It now has stopped doing that.

I have tried different batts, both button and flat tops, re re and re reloading the MVR and firmware. Nada. Im about to tear into these to look for bad wires, flooded circutboard....something, anything.

I had a feeling the first time I powered these on they would not last long......but less than three months!

Joyetech continues to give me the runaround.......once that runs its course i'm breaking these open!

Get the Provari, make sure its a V2 if you buy off the classifieds.......will never ever regret.....ever!

update...eVic 1 is firing with a button top I pulled out of my Provari with a 40% charge.....

crxess....its my coop recall that is firing, my "good" one is the dead head!!!!!! What's the max charge you have noticed this one will take until it will not work with the overcharge thing?
