Mine will fire.......delayed......at 100% once it cycles a few times and drops to about 4.1v it starts working consistently.

For the Dead eVic head, I can only suggest trying the FACTORY DEFAULT download. It is supposed to be basically a setup before any updates are performed. A low level reprogramming if you will. If that will not work, contact the Vender and see what they will do.

I hope to have a dead one in my hands next week. The guy has no Idea what he may or may not have done but it will not power up. If I get it I will try to resolve this issue and post back.

Only difference I see between mine and those having issues is I never charge in the eVic. I have several 18650's and use a 2 slot charger.

Just popped in a fresh battery. 3 second delay in firing until 99% then fine.(recall head)

Please keep me in mind!!.... If its the same issue it will flicker on and off sometimes. Most recently it will power up and display as it should, put on a atty and it cuts off.....

A few things to check that could be user issues.
1)Spring contact. Make sure the spring is clean(alcohol) and stretched enough to make proper contact and hole the battery secure.
2)Make surer the Head to battery pin is clean. scuff with an emery board or fine sandpaper.
3)Make certain the 510 center pin has not been crushed down which could pose a Short condition causing shutdown.(eVic monitors ohm load)
4)With any juice spills - remove battery/tube - clean up with alcohol - set aside to dry.

This is all fairly standard advice for any device for reliable operation.

As an update, I stopped by the B&M (Cignot) where I purchased the Evic and asked the manager what he wanted to do as I could only use a few clearos at 100% charge. He gave me a replacement power head with no questions asked. The folks at this store have been nothing but helpful and go out of their way to keep happy customers. I like to do business with people that show an interest in their customers and while they don't have everything for everybody, I try to go out of my way to patronize them as there are only a few stores in the Chicagoland area and we need to keep them alive. The new power head seems to only charge to 95% on the USB wall charger but it has fired everything I put on it at that level. Not 100% but close.
