Filling ego mega clear carto

I just got this in the mail:

Clear eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer

I filled it with a syringe and am using it now. Its pretty good! My question is because 1) its the first time I am filling any carto and 2) its the first time I am filling THIS carto, I was afraid of overfilling. I basically made sure the fill was wet but its supposed to hold 5 mls of liquid. Is there supposed to be liquid on top of the thing, in between the top of the fill and the mouth piece? Or did I do right? I just don't want to under or over fill. Has anyone else filled this? Also, how do you know when its time to refill or top off or whatever?

It's advertised to hold 5 ml of juice but, that's a lie. All it can hold is about 3.5 - 4ml of juice. Just fill it until you see a few drops come out of the bottom of the cartomizer. Then let it sit for 30 minutes to let the juice spread and seep throughout the material and reach the coils in the middle of the carto. Then you can vape away.

The top should look moist but, not slushy if that makes sense. If you see liquid completely covering the filler then you've over filled it. Also, you will notice that it's gurgling. So, no there isn't supposed to be liquid in between the filler and mouth piece. But, that might be condensation as well. Not sure, since I'm not there.

If you actually want to save that juice. Use a carto condom (pieces of plastic that the carto is put into) and put it on the bottom where the connection is. Lightly blow through the mouth piece and you should be able to save some of that juice and but it back in it's bottle.

Thank you. I may have overfilled it a little as I hear something like sizzling and some pops. LOL Its like I'm frying something. I suppose it'll calm down when some of it is used up. I really feel like the taste comes more alive than with the tanks I was using.

No problem. I'm not sure that you did since EMDCC are loud to say the least. Your supposed to hear the sizzling and popping and IMO, it lets me know they're working LOL. If your getting a lack of vapor, taste, and obviously getting juice in your mouth. Then you've flooded it.

I believe the sizzle and pop is normal. It is for me anyway. The gurgling is what you do not want to hear. If it does start to gurgle just do what Washvape suggested.
