Final decision. Springing for a VV/VW or box mod. Which is best not spending tons of money

I am looking at the sigelei or Smoktech Zmax $65-$70.
Possibly the Vamo V3 or V5 $50-$55, but I really am not a fan of the VAMO...too big, looks awkward.

I really like the CANA 30 watt Clone, for around $70, but even this, once the batteries and charger is bought am up at $100.

I was looking to spend a bit less, which is why at first I looked at mechanicals (would have been 1/2 the money), but didnt fit my use.


Do you guys have any other options that are around this price range or a little less that would be a good option?

It all depends on what ohms you will be vaping at.. form factor you prefer, etc.. Real low ohms go with a Mech device and a good RDA.

If you are into carto tanks, Kayfuns, etc go with a vw/vv device.. Any of the ones you suggested would be good. I dont have a cana but After research of how they are holding up, I would probably suggest the Cana IMHO.. But if you like the tube, then Id go with Sigelei.

I'm with Paul on the VV3 or MVP2. E-Cig Distribution Wholesalers E cig | strictlyecig.com has some great prices on the MVP, and lots of color selections as well. You won't be able to sub-ohm on the VV3 or MVP2. Check out the "Replaceable Battery" devices as well.

I just picked up a DNA 30 clone, and am liking it. You can sub-ohm with it also. Only had it 2 days, but no problems so far

The Cana mod you see out there is a crap shoot. I got one and it died the first week from a crappy 510 connector. Unless you subohm stay with like the Zmax. If you want a good box mod go with IPV 50. They are made by the same folks that make the Seven 22 and 30. I have a seven 22 and it's a damn tank and Knock on wood has been very good. The IPV comes with a 1 yr warranty. Oh as soon as it's available where they owe me for a return I will get an IPV 50.

Oh if you need anything more to keep you from a Cana mod. When I opened mine to try to fix it it was full of hot glue. took forever to get that stuff out so I could start the repair.

Are these Sigelei's clones? I did not think they made clones on these type of mod's, but the photo looks a little different, and its also much much less than the few sites I use....Smoktek, Vapor Alley, Myvapestore.

Maybe I am wrong, and if so, they will probably be my purchase.

I don't mind buying clone RBA's and mechanicals, but not WW Mod's. I bought an offbrand 1600mah VV when they first came out, maybe 6 months ago, and it broke within a few weeks where my Vision spinner bought at the same time has not given me any problems.

Thank you all for your input. I should have stated....I have the MVP2 and 1300 spinner.

For the 6 clearo's I have work perfectly on these two devices, but I went and bought my first RDA, a simple IGO-W, and although I don't sub ohm, I can only build a single coil and unless my build is horribly wrong, I am very not happy with it....and come to think of it, the shop did my first build, 1.6 ohm.

So basically this purchase is to get the full use of my IGO-W, and then buy some sort of RBA like the Kayfun.......sub ohm'ing is far from a must, just a luxury at this point.

if your not interested in sub-ohming and just want a great Vape; the MVP2 VV/VW is your best bang for the buck and you can find them everywhere for under 40 bucks and no batteries to buy....you can use tanks ,carto's, clearo's.......even smaller RDA's/RBA's work great from 1.5 to 2.1 ohms with 28 or 30 gauge kanthal.

Thank You, but I forgot to mention and just posted that I have the MVP2 & 1300 spinners and love them both for my Clearo's. The issue is on my first RDA and when I purchase my first RBA, it is limited with the 11W.

I have a 1.5-1.7 ohm single coil built for my IGO-W from the B&B, and I'm just not happy with it

There is a thread for Sigelei V3 and V5 owners and several have bought from Desert Vapes. The round top is a different style than the flat top. DV use to have both styles but I think Sigelei stopped making these as they move to 20w and higher.

If your open to a mech, a reo does really well with subohms. I run mine at 0.4 and its awesome

Thanks for the advice, but subohms isnt a main factor. For me its something to get the potential of an RBA & RDA without subohming, and can efficiantly run my clearo's through.

MY MVP2 does a horrible job with my IGO-W, 1.6 ohm single coil, built by the B&M

I run a 1.2 ohm coil on mine and it is a flavor and vapor machine. On a regulated mod it is a little different but you coild and they way it is wicked will make a big difference. I've notice a lot of guys at B&M's load up the cotton. When building I make sure that the wick does not block air from running across the top and bottom of my coil (unless it's a Dragon coil). Sometimes less is more and to much cotton will choke you vapor production.

Pull their cotton out, add a new wick and don't put any in front or under the coil, just let you wick rest left and right of your build. If it's a dual do the same thing on both sides and try it again.

I agree , the MVP works great if you setup your coil correctly , don't overwick and use 30 gauge wire and more preferably 32 with your dripper and you will get great hits off the MVP , line up the coil with the air hole on your dripper because it makes a big difference .

The MVP will instantly light up 32 gauge coils with 30 gauge a smidge slower , all you need is 5 or 6 wraps of 32 gauge .

Im in the same boat, but have more money to spend. couldn't decide between my first DNA30 box, or a Provari. wanting to use a RBA.. Russian 91% or a KFL+ I have a tobh clone / mech for home use, and although I know a RBA wont quite match that vape production, I want something better than this Aspire Nautilus Im using at work now. just seems pathetic after using the dripper.

pretty sure.. Going to with the Vapor Shark rDNA box I think. the ability to swap batteries with a DNA30 box, is seeming best, and its only an additional $20 for the rDNA. using the 2 RBA's I mentioned on a Provari will be a little bigger than I would like to sport, around town.
