I love the act of smoking, and the nic buzz. But I hate the smoke itself. The smell, the aftertaste, the ever increasing social stigma, the hassle of finding a place in extreme weather, etc etc.

I totally agree with you! I've been analog-free for over three weeks now; I've been using the patch, and I effin' hate it because it's really irritating my skin (I have a bright red itchy round spot when I take it off!), but I know that if I stop the patch, I'm going to be wayyy tempted to smoke... then I heard about vaping, and I thought "how perfect!" because I can still enjoy the "act" of smoking, get my nicotine fix (I'm an addict ) without the stink/stigma/health risks of analogs - and at a cheaper cost. IMHO it's a win/win all the way around!

I can't wait for my order to arrive so I can toss these awful patches!

Warm welcomes to all the new members. I've only been vaping for 1 week, and already received 2 orders and working on the 3rd. Refilling that shopping cart is as easy as refilling those cartos.

Congratulations for giving V4L a chance to help you kick analogs for good. It worked for me, after 1 week I've only had 2. Taste is definitely starting to come back.

Welcome Newbies, froma fairly newbie myself. :)

NightNurse, I'm not a big fan of the Parliament either...never did like the Parliament cigs though. Hated them. I find the Hilton to be pretty good when I want a "cigarette" type flavor. A bit more of a punch than the Cowboys. (The Cowboys are a better 'all-day' type of vape though, imo.)

Okay, this is cool: After placing the order, I was kicking myself for not including Steve's sampler. I really wanted to try his smilin special and a few other flavors in there. I made a note to include it in my next order. Well guess what I found in this order!!! Do these guys have ESP or something? I'm impressed! Okay, time to charge the batteries, and try out the PT!!!!

WOOT!

Okay, so I've been hitting this thing for the 5 hours, 45 min since I got it. I have stuck mostly to the dark chocolate (other than a few puffs on several others to sample). My question is this: Is there an easy way to tell when the carto is done? I'm sure my buds are burned out pretty good, but I don't taste any metallic or burning in it, and can still pick up on chocolate, but it's just.... less. Nothing unpleasant or anything, but compared to a new cart, not as strong. Is it done? Does that time frame sound about right? (on a PT, possibly hitting it a little hard due to the novelty of it!)

I just don't want to burn it out prematurely or something. By the way, everything I've sampled is incredible. This still seems too good to be true...

Thanks for the quick answer, PawPaw!

I sort of suspected as much, and you are right - better safe than sorry. A half empty, non burned cart can be refilled good as new, but a burned out one is no good anymore! I will be picking up some juice in my next order to try my hand at refilling.

I'm also happy to hear that the buds will start bouncing back that quickly. The body is an amazing thing!

Well, the buds will bounce back that quickly, but then they may play games with you for a while.

I've been in taste bud hell for the past month. They would flip-flop at the oddest times, frequently several times a day. Luckily for me, they only affected vaping. Food & drink were OK, but I never knew what any carto would taste like.

I think I'm finally out of it, but I'll withhold final judgement on that for a few days.

Ditto that, and the potential health complications. I have to admit - I enjoy[ed] smoking. The product has provided everything I could ever want. Including still getting the nicotine that settles-down my inflammatory bowel disease (the reason I started in the first place). The ritual is only a wee bit different, especially with auto batteries. And I haven't had a cigarette since the moment my Vapor King first arrived.

I notice that first the flavor starts to drop off then the vapor becomes *more* voluminous. At that point, I refill or swap. Lately, I've just kinda gotten to the point where I refill a few times a day just 'cause I can and it only takes a few seconds.
